  • Patent number: 7614983
Abstract: An exercise dumbbell includes a handle member and weight plates maintained in spaced relationship at opposite ends thereof. Weight selectors are rotatable into and out of engagement with different combinations of the weight plates to secure a desired amount of mass to the handle. The weight selectors occupy respective upwardly closed notches in the weights to secure the weights to the handle member. Different arrangements may be used to bias the weight selectors toward desired orientations relative to the weight plates, and/or to lock the weight selectors in desired orientations relative to the weight plates.

  • Patent number: 7608020
Abstract: An exercise apparatus has a frame supporting a pivotable lower right arm and a lower left arm, and also a pivotable upper right arm and upper left arm. The upper right arm and the upper left arm are pivotably connected to the frame at points above the pivotable connections of the lower right arm and the lower left arm. The lower arms have handles for grasping by a user and weight pegs. The upper right arm and the upper left arm each further have a rail connected to the arm and running substantially parallel to it. A sleeve slideably engages the rail and supports a shoulder harness for a user and also weight pegs. The user grasps the handles connected to the lower arms and lifts upward, whereby his shoulders contact the resistance of the upper arms through the shoulder harness.

  • Patent number: 7608090
Abstract: The stretch tape of the present invention for eyelid facelifting is stuck between eyes and near inner corners of eyes, or near the outer corner of each eye, enabling facelifting which makes the eyes look slitter and brighter by stretching the skins of eyelids by the stretch tape. The stretch tape is tapered so that the stretch tape points the inner edge or the outer edge of the eye. The stretch tape of the present invention for nose facelifting has a shape of an inverted character U or an inverted character V, the top portion of the inverted U or V shape is stuck to an upper portion of the nose in between eyes, and both foot portions of the inverted U or the V shape are stuck at both sides of the hillside portion of the nose, so that the stretch tape stretches the hillside portion of the nose toward a head.

  • Patent number: 7604576
Abstract: A multi-purpose exercise apparatus used for linear and rotational resistance exercises with varying heights, diameters, angular ranges and planes. The apparatus relates to a frame (frame 430) and at least one carriage (300) supported by and movable on the frame. The carriage (300) supports at least one spooling force transmitter (102), and/or at least one translating force transmitter (101), which is connected to a resistance source (resistance source 494) through a flexible connector (476). The spooling force transmitter (102) is connected to a rigid arm (390) to which the user can apply rotational force against the spool and connected resistance. The spooling force transmitter (102) pivots on a positioning axis that is coincident with the longitudinal axis of the flexible connector (476) immediately before the connector attaches to the spooling force transmitter (101). The user can apply force to the translating force transmitter (101) to perform guided straight-line motions in a variety of directions.

  • Patent number: 7575538
Abstract: An exercise apparatus that provides a complete body workout, folds up into a small footprint, and can be hidden inside of a closet or decorative cabinet. The apparatus has an arm assembly with two arms pivotally attached to a guide assembly that translates vertically within a frame assembly to a multitude of locations. At the free ends of the arms are cable ends that allow an exercise bar or handgrips to be attached to a resistance assembly. Rotating pulley assemblies there allow the cables to exit the arms freely. The cable ends move independently of each other, which simulates working out with free weights. A counterweight offsets the weight of the arm and guide assemblies to permit easy positioning of the arm assembly for different exercises. A counterweighted fold out seat assembly with lower member completes the versatile and compact workout station.
