  • Patent number: 6418591
Abstract: The present invention relates to a tightening fastener, in which a clip band is bent in the shape of a ring or a spiral, as well as a tension locking system, wherein the clip band can be used to fasten elongated objects such as cables or pipes in pipeworks and mainly pipes which cannot be accessed. A series of radially protruding holders may be attached to the clip band. These holders are positioned to receive cables, pipes, or other elongated objects. The tension locking system may include a stop member which can, for example, be made in the shape of a stop bolt and which may be maintained in a stop position by a stop frame. When the stop bolt is disengaged from its stop position, the tension locking system partially expands and transmits the tightening force to the clip band, thus tightening the clip band.

  • Patent number: 6412152
Abstract: A clip for connecting to a ring or the like has a resilient bow and first and second hook portions at first and second ends of the bow. The second hook portion has a pair of spaced apart hook parts. A hook is formed in each hook portion. The clip can be opened by squeezing the bow in a transverse direction until the first hook portion extends between the hook parts of the second hook portion with the hooks facing one another. The first hook portion extends far enough that a gap exists between the hook portions through which a ring may be inserted into the hooks. When the clip is released, the bow biases the hook portions outwardly so that the ring is captured in a loop formed by the hooks. The clip may be fabricated from resilient plastic. The clip has many uses anywhere that it is desirable to clip something to a ring or the like. The clip may be made so that it is easy to open while wearing gloves.

  • Patent number: 6401307
Abstract: A invention relates to a watch strap, having a strap end link 1 which is connected to a further component such that it can be pivoted about an axis transverse to the longitudinal extent of the wrist strap and which can be adjusted relative to the further component in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the wrist strap. The strap end link 1 is articulated on a pivot element 3 such that it can be pivoted about an adjustment axis 2 which extends, approximately in the strap plane, transversely to the longitudinal extent of the wrist strap, the pivot element being connected to the further component such that it can be pivoted through approximately 180° about a pivot axis 4 which is parallel to the adjustment axis 2. In this case, the pivot element 3 can be arrested in its pivot end positions. The adjustment axis 2 and pivot axis 4 are arranged one behind the other in this case approximately along the longitudinal extent of the wrist strap.

  • Patent number: 6374468
Abstract: A two-piece retention mechanism has a base and a snap ring that are individually mounted to two separate components that a user desires to releasably join. The snap ring has a round body with a hole for attaching the first component thereto. A conical element with a spherical tip protrudes from the snap ring body. The base has a cylindrical body for mounting to the second component. The body of the base has a cap with a rounded face and a conical opening that tapers down to a cylindrical hole. After the base and snap ring are mounted to their respective components, the snap ring may be removably connected to the base by inserting its spherical tip into the conical opening in the base. The complementary shapes of the snap ring and base allow for significant axial and angular misalignment. The snap ring and base elastically deform and emit an audible “snap” during this sequence.

  • Patent number: 4920619
Abstract: A pin of a retracting or ejecting pyrotechnical power element preferably mounted on the side of a belt lock facing away from the engaged belt is connected to a trigger key in such a way that, upon initiation of the charge of the pyrotechnical power element as a result of a threshold of a sensor in the vehicle being exceeded, due to an occurrence to be sensed, i.e. an impact upon collision and, after a required delay, the trigger key is depressed completely--and remains depressed. The required delay between the occurrence and the instant of belt separation can be effected electronically or, quite especially preferably, integrated in the pyrotechnical power element by means of a pyrotechnical transmission path.
