Abstract: A computer-implemented method of transforming an image file by an image file transformation apparatus, the method including providing an image file in a pixel-based format having a plurality of pixels, dividing the pixels into a plurality of patches, sampling the pixels to generate boundary conditions relating to each of the patches, deriving Fourier coefficients of a solution to a partial differential equation according to the boundary conditions, and outputting the Fourier coefficients for each of the patches as a transformed image file.

Abstract: A method and system for providing a content service such as an Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) using multiple devices are provided. A method, in which a gateway provides a content service using multiple devices, includes sending a service request to a service provider, receiving required list information from the service provider receiving the service request, the required list information indicating a list of devices required for a requested service, acquiring performance information of accessible devices on the basis of the required list information, receiving content with a service level corresponding to the acquired performance information from the service provider, and distributing the received content to the accessible devices to be used for the content service.

Abstract: The invention provides an automatic health check method for on-line system, comprising the following steps: receiving current status data of the on-line system from the on-line system; updating historical status statistical data based on the current status data, wherein the historical status statistical data is a statistical result for the status data of the on-line system until a previous moment from the moment when the on-line system starts to operate; transmitting the updated historical status statistical data to the on-line system; and the on-line system determining whether it is operating normally according to the updated historical status statistical data. In addition, the present invention correspondingly provides an automatic health check apparatus for on-line system. The method and apparatus according to the present invention can provide an effective and reliable health check mechanism for an on-line system such as bank POS transaction system.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for distributing and/or receiving buffer content advertisements continuously to and/or from a plurality of neighboring peer apparatuses joined in a network are described. The buffer content advertisements identify the stored packets of data in a packet buffer. The continuously distributed and/or received buffer content advertisements may include incremental updates of content of the packet buffer piggybacked to every outgoing and/or incoming packet of data. The apparatus may determine packets of data advertised by a plurality of neighboring peers that the apparatus does not have in its packet buffer, and may request packets of data, of the advertised packets, from at least one of the plurality of neighboring peers. The apparatus may include a communication module to communicate buffer content advertisements continuously to the plurality of neighboring peers.

Abstract: Systems and methods for redirecting content from a first user device to a second user device is disclosed. The first user device may generate a redirection request message and transmit the redirection request message to a video back office server. The redirection request message may contain information pertaining to the user device to which the content is to be redirected and information related to a current session of the rendering the content. The video back office server may instantiate a redirection of the content to the second user device based at least in part on the received redirection request message.

It is then determined whether the returned address is a redirected address, whether a hypertext transmission protocol secure (HTTPS) probe configured for the hostname fails, or whether the returned address matches a cached route in which a transmission control protocol (TCP) connection establishment is unsuccessful. If any of the returned address is a redirected address, the HTTPS probe fails or the returned address matches the cached route and the TCP connection establishment is unsuccessful, the client device is connected to the VPN.

Adjusting the visibility level may include increasing the visibility level of the profile of the participant upon determining that the calculated relevancy score is greater than or equal to a first predefined threshold value. Adjusting the visibility level further may include decreasing the visibility level of the profile of the participant upon determining that calculated relevancy score of the participant is less than a second predefined threshold value.

An associated system may include a processor and a memory storing an application program, which, when executed on the processor, performs an operation that may include receiving an activity stream update of the participant and calculating a relevancy score based on content in the activity stream update. Each resource control device may direct a server computing device to proceed with a workflow or to pause processing a workflow. A resource control device may further direct a server computing device to take resource conserving actions. When a computing resource is determined to be available, a resource control device may direct a paused server computing device to resume a workflow.

Abstract: Systems and methods for selecting tiering protocols based on data transmissions over mesh networks within defined spatial areas can be provided. A mesh network can be established within a defined spatial area. Each network device within the mesh network can be a user device or a supernode. Further, a wireless communication link can be established between the user devices and supernodes. A plurality of tiered protocols for tiering data transmissions can be accessed. Data to be transmitted over the mesh network can be analyzed to determine which tiered protocol to select. Path data that identifies a routing path from the a user device to a supernode can be generated, and the data can be transmitted according to the path data.

Abstract: To select a master controller from a plurality of controllers, a computing system may consider whether connections between components within field replaceable units (FRUs) are functional as well as the data dependencies between the FRUs. For example, in addition to identifying whether the connections between the FRUs and the controllers are functional, the computing system sends instructions to each of the FRUs coupled to the controllers to determine if inter- and intra-FRU connections required for booting a compute node hosting the FRUs are functional. For instance, one FRU may depend on data from another FRU in order to boot. If a communication link between the FRUs is non-functional, the compute node may fail to boot. The computer system uses these evaluations to determine which of the controllers to select as the master.

Abstract: Systems and methods to provide integrated incident management for hybrid landscapes are provided. In example embodiments, an incident ticket is received, at a communication hub, from a first component of a first landscape indicating an incident. A second component in a second landscape is determined to which to route incident information including the incident ticket. The determination of the second component is based on an attribute extracted from the incident ticket. The incident information is transmitted to the second component by the communication hub. A solution for the incident ticket is received from the second component based on the second component having the solution or is received from a component of a service backbone based on the component of the service backbone having the solution by the communication hub, and the solution is forwarded to at least one of the first component or the second component.

Abstract: Technologies for monitoring data storage location for cloud data include a cloud monitoring server configured to communicate with one or more cloud customer computing devices and cloud service providers. The cloud monitoring server receives monitoring requests from the cloud customer computing devices and retrieves provider information from the cloud service providers. The cloud monitoring server compiles response data based on the monitoring requests and the provider information, and sends response data to the cloud customer computing devices. Cloud customer computing devices may send on-demand monitoring requests and/or continuous, policy-based monitoring requests. For policy-based monitoring, the cloud monitoring server continually monitors the provider information and provides response data when one or more conditions specified in the policy are satisfied. The cloud monitoring server may also make recommendations and provide feedback based on the monitoring requests or the provider information.

Abstract: A method and routing device are provided for aggregating of requests relating to a data segment of a stream into another request and for storing data segments belonging to different streams in a queue prior to the device routing them to client entities that have requested them. The method includes: determining a credit associated with a stream, the credit varying based on a number of requests transmitted by client entities and relating to data segments belonging to the stream; and, on receiving a data segment in response to the other request, and when memory space available in the queue does not enable the received data segment to be stored: selecting a stream having at least one data segment stored in the queue and for which the associated credit is the smallest; and deleting from the queue a data segment belonging to the selected stream.
