  • Patent number: 11700612
Abstract: This document discloses procedures and apparatus for code block group (CBG)-based non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) transmission for a wireless communication link, such as fifth generation new radio. In aspects, a user equipment (UE) receives a first message including a first configuration for a CBG-based transmission scheme. The UE receives a second message including a second configuration for a NOMA transmission scheme. The UE transmits uplink control information (UCI) to the base station using the NOMA transmission scheme from the second configuration. Further, the UE transmits uplink data associated with the UCI using a CBG-based NOMA transmission scheme based on the first configuration and the second configuration. The UE receives a hybrid automatic retransmission request (HARQ) message including one or more HARQ acknowledgements (ACKs) or negative acknowledgements (NACKs) corresponding to a decoding result of the uplink data.

  • Patent number: 11641693
Abstract: Systems and methods for interlace PUCCH transmission in 5G networks are described. The gNB sends an RRC message to a UE. The RRC message provides one or more PUCCH interlace allocations within a BW. Each PUCCH interlace allocation has a PUCCH format for each PUCCH interlace. Each PUCCH format contains a different PUCCH interlace index. The UE sends a PUCCH interlace in the BWP based on the PUCCH interlace allocation. A PUCCH in the allocated PUCCH interlace has a cyclic shift that is dependent on a resource block number in the allocated PUCCH interlace within the BWP.

  • Patent number: 11621918
Abstract: A transmitter can manage when a transmit queue is permitted to transmit and an amount of data permitted to be transmitted. After a transmit queue is permitted to transmit, the transmit queue can be placed in a sleep state if the transmit queue has exceeded its permitted data transmission quota. The wake time of the transmit queue can be scheduled based on a token accumulation rate for the transmit queue. The token accumulation rate can be increased if the transmit queue has other data to transmit after the data transmission. The token accumulation rate can be decreased if the transmit does not have other data to transmit.

  • Patent number: 11617190
Abstract: The invention relates to a user equipment for being scheduled with uplink radio resources. The user equipment receives from a radio base station a first-stage uplink resource scheduling message, indicating uplink radio resources usable by the UE to perform an uplink transmission via an unlicensed cell. The receiver further receives a second-stage uplink resource scheduling message, which is related to the first-stage uplink resource scheduling message. Upon reception of the second-stage uplink resource scheduling message, a processor of the UE determines that an uplink transmission is scheduled in case the first-stage uplink resource scheduling message is valid. The first-stage uplink resource scheduling message is determined valid based on a determination as to whether an uplink transmission has been triggered by another second-stage uplink resource scheduling message within a predetermined time period prior to reception of the second-stage uplink resource scheduling message.
