  • Patent number: 10484271
Abstract: Interest packets are provided that include a dual control plane and forwarding plane function that avoids the asymmetry associated with traditional information centric networking. Interest packets are used to update the control plane for routing purposes, as well as to request data from the content caches and providers. Instead of identifying a return path, the interest packets include an identifier of other content advertised by the client device issuing the interest packet. An advertised content identifier is stored in a data structure with an identification of the corresponding client device. Data packets include the advertised content identifier of the corresponding interest packet, in addition to the name of the requested content. When a data packet is received for requested content, the advertised content identifier is used to determine where to route the data packet.

  • Patent number: 10470102
Abstract: A router management server may be utilized to manage a plurality of home routers. Appropriate access control rules may be determined by the router management server for various client devices including IoT devices based on the type and/or make/model of the client devices. MAC address-bound WLAN passphrases may be assigned to the client devices and bound to the MAC addresses associated the client devices. Further, WLAN passphrases may be associated with expiration periods and/or access control rules. Therefore, a secure home network environment that takes into account the vulnerabilities of IoT devices may be achieved without the involvement of an IT department. Moreover, Flexibility of WLAN passphrase management may be improved.

  • Patent number: 10470189
Abstract: A more efficient over-the-air software push can be facilitated by leveraging a smart scheduling system for vehicles. The smart scheduling system can use location and network capacity data to prioritize over-the-air software pushes for vehicles. For instance, a vehicle, which is only operational during off-peak wireless network hours can receive a software push during the off-peak times because wireless network capacity is not an issue. However, vehicles, which are used primarily during heavy peak wireless network times can receive software in a prioritized manner based on location data, frequency of use, network capacity, etc.

  • Patent number: 10447444
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may identify a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration for user equipment (UE). The base station may transmit an SRS grant message to a UE indicating the SRS configuration. An indication of SRS parameters may be included in the SRS grant message, and may include the SRS parameters or a location of the SRS parameters. That is, SRS parameters may be transmitted in a control channel with the SRS grant message or may be separately sent in a data channel as indicated by the indication of SRS parameters. In some cases, SRS parameters may be determined based on previously received UE feedback regarding channel conditions or power limitations. Alternatively, the base station may make its own environment measurements or assign SRS parameters autonomously. The UE may signal SRS transmissions to the base station according to the SRS grant message.
