  • Patent number: 8448946
Abstract: This invention introduces an expanded Chess Game played on 10×10=100 square chessboard. The rules of the classic game apply as directed by FIDE (rules as of Apr. 1, 2004), with adjustments made in consideration of the larger board and added pieces. The ChessQuire/Chess 100 game introduces only one new type of chess piece named here “Esquire”: white squares bound and black squares bound; four of them in total, two on each side of the board, belonging to the two opposing sets. Esquire's properties and behavior are somewhere in between that of a Knight and a Bishop. The other notable changes are the extra four pawns on the board; two on each side, and a slight pawn move rules modifications such as the en-passant rule and castling. My goal was to expand the classic game in such a way that the classic game's integrity and soul stay preserved. The game can be played at chessquire.com.

  • Patent number: 8439362
Abstract: A casino game method and system is set forth for house banked games such as Blackjack, Baccarat, Pai Gow and the like where each participating player makes a first wager to participate in the house banked game and a second wager to form a player competition pot. The first wagers are resolved according to the rules of the game. The second wagers are combined into a pot which is awarded to the player having the highest or lowest hand ranking. In the event of a tie the pot may be shared or carried over to subsequent hands until there is a single winner. The system provides for a host processor communicating with player terminals from which the players can control the game action. To provide a profit to the casino, at least a portion of the pot is awarded if the house hand has a certain holding.

Abstract: The present invention features a game apparatus having a game board having game spaces and game pieces. The apparatus comprises fabulous five game pieces and blank game pieces with indicia on one side identifying the game piece is a traveler. Only a traveler can move in a forwards and backwards direction on the game board in one or two game spaces. The game pieces move in a diagonal motion two diagonal game spaces or a ricochet motion, which is in a curved motion to one game space in the first column and then to a second game space in the second column. The player who cannot move or the player who has no remaining game pieces on the board loses the game.

  • Patent number: 8419432
Abstract: The Tactile Sudoku Game Display for the Blind has 4 control buttons used by the blind game player to manually direct the attached computer to change the current game square up and down and left and right. The Game Display has 27 electromechanically raised and lowered dots similar to Braille dots arranged in 3 squares each with 9 dots arranged in 3 rows and 3 columns. The raised dots in the Game Display's lower-right square communicate the current status of 1 of the 81 Sudoku game squares to the blind game player by touch. And 1 raised dot in each of the Game Display's other 2 squares communicates the column number and row number of the current game square to the blind game player by touch. The game author's given starting game squares have only 1 of the 9 dots raised; and, the blind game player touches and depresses all but 1 of the 9 dots in each remaining game square to complete the game.

  • Patent number: 8360433
Abstract: A realistic professional team sports board game, including an On-The-Roll mechanism where, once play begins, real time play continues, generally against a clock, opposing teams continue to roll dice continuing sub-play actions or elements, until a play is completed, as by a touchdown, tackle and a series of rules and charts, based on statistical compilation that maps various combinations of offensive and defensive strategies and dice rolls into realistic game situations and the progression among them. Both teams: secretly choose a strategy, generally by selecting a card placed face down; roll dice; reveal strategy choices by turning cards face up; determine a situation chart to consult, and further determine which result is selected from within the chart, based on some combination of which cards were played and the results of the dice rolls. A variety of play cards affect the overall game momentum of either team.

  • Patent number: 8328196
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a board game with a start point, end point, and a path between. The object of the game is to advance all of one's pawns from the starting point to the end point before any other player. In various exemplary embodiments, the game also includes a sweeper arm that comes into play at the occurrence of an arbitrary and/or random event (e.g., a particular roll of a dice or die), but the direction of movement is selected by a player (e.g., the player during whose turn the sweeper arm will be moved). The sweeper arm moves about the playing board and effects the position of pieces thereon (e.g., sending them back to the start point or changing their location on the board). In various exemplary embodiments, the playing pawns are stackable on one another. Moreover, multiple pieces may become stacked and move as a group, including pawns belonging to any number of different players.
