Abstract: Embodiments of the present application provide a method and an apparatus for determining a state of a terminal device. The method includes: the terminal device determines an amount of data to be sent; and the terminal device determines, according to the amount of data to be sent, a state in which the terminal device needs to be. According to the embodiments of the present application, unnecessary state switching can be avoided for the terminal device, signaling overhead can be reduced, and power consumption of the terminal device can be reduced, thereby improving system efficiency.

Abstract: The present application is at least directed to an apparatus in a network including a non-transitory memory including instructions stored thereon for obtaining a resource for accessing a target cell in the network. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a signal to a base station indicating a UE capability configuration. The UE may receive, over an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band, a wakeup signal during a monitoring period, the wakeup signal indicating that wireless communications are to be performed between the UE and the base station during an active time period. The UE may identify a guard time period upon receiving the wakeup signal, wherein the guard time period is based at least in part on the UE capability configuration. Abstract: A method and apparatus for accessing a random access channel (RACH) during handover are disclosed. A handover procedure is initiated and a maximum handover interruption timer is activated. A dedicated preamble is transmitted in an attempt to access the RACH on a condition that the dedicated preamble is reserved in a current random access opportunity and the maximum handover interruption timer has not expired. A contention-based preamble is transmitted in an attempt to access the RACH on a condition that a dedicated preamble is not reserved in a current random access opportunity. If the maximum handover interruption timer has expired, a contention-based preamble is transmitted in an attempt to access the RACH.
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods, systems and devices for supporting local breakout in a small cell architecture. An MME sends information of a local breakout bearer for a UE to a MeNB, and the MeNB determines a local home network to which the local breakout bearer belongs according to the received information. When the MeNB is to switch the local breakout bearer between different eNBs, the MeNB selects an eNB in the local home network to which the local breakout bearer belongs as a target eNB. By the present disclosure, the continuity of local breakout traffic may be ensured when a User Equipment (UE) moves in a small cell scenario, thereby avoiding data loss and improving user experiences. Further, a local breakout bearer may be released timely and reasonably, thereby saving system resources.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the prioritization of devices taking part in a multi-user random access wireless communication. Based on some known conditions, devices that comply with the conditions are given preferential treatment during the random access period. The preferential treatment may refer to the eligible devices being allowed to access more resource units during the random access, or it may also mean faster access to the medium during the random access. By taking advantage of the methods described in the present disclosure, it is possible to assign higher priority to selected frame types and/or device categories in a multi-user random access wireless communication system.
