  • Patent number: 10991078
Abstract: Received image data is enhanced to create enhanced image data using image processing to remove artifacts and to retrieve information associated with a desired target output. Image segmentation is performed on useable enhanced image data to created segmented image data by partitioning the enhanced image data into coherent regions with respect to a particular image-based criterion. Useable segmented image data and auxiliary data is pre-processing for input into a neural network as pre-processed data. The pre-processed data is divided into training, validation, and testing data subsets. A neural network architecture is determined to process the pre-processed data and the determined neural network architecture is executed using the pre-processed data. Output of the determined neural network is post-processed as post-processed data. The post-processed data is compared to a known value range associated with the post-processed data to determine if the post-processed data satisfies a desired output result.

  • Patent number: 10938424
Abstract: A communication system receives an input signal along a signal processing path and generates a converted output signal via a digital-to-analog converter (DAC). The signal processing path branches into two different branches, a magnitude branch and a sign branch for different components of the baseband signal. A local oscillator (LO) provides a carrier signal to the signal processing path at the DAC and further generates an LO leakage signal comprising a signed LO leakage and an unsigned LO leakage during the up-conversion of signals of the sign branch with a carrier. An unsigned LO suppression component is configured to reduce or eliminate the unsigned LO leakage and a signed LO suppression component is configured to reduce or eliminate the signed LO leakage form a baseband signal of the signal processing path.

  • Patent number: 10924166
Abstract: A transmitter includes a plurality of user-specific channels, with each user specific channel associated with a different set of user equipment (UE) receive antennas. For precoding, the transmitter generates a baseline channel matrix reflecting the characteristics of the communication medium employed to transmit data to the different user equipment (UEs). For each user-specific channel, the transmitter generates a complementary channel matrix based on the baseline channel matrix, then performs matrix decomposition to eliminate selected terms of the complementary channel matrix that interfere from other communication channels of the transmitter. The transmitter can reuse portions of one rotational matrix set generated for one channel to generate the rotational matrix sets for one or more other channels.

  • Patent number: 10897387
Abstract: Increasing an analog to digital converter (ADC) dynamic range for a communications device. In the communications device, a reference threshold is established for a peak to average power ratio (PAPR) improvement factor for RF signals received by the communications device. A digital to analog converter (DAC) adjustment factor is established for a DAC to account for inaccuracies of a pre-cancellation DAC and fine tuning of an analog gain of received RF signals. A peak amplitude separation element, disposed within the communications device, evaluates an absolute value of a portion of a particular RF signal against the reference threshold. Upon the peak amplitude separation element determining that the portion is smaller than the reference threshold, the element assigns a zero value to a DAC signal current sample; otherwise, the element assigns a quantized value of the sample to the DAC signal current sample, used in adjusting a post-cancellation signal sample.
