Abstract: An imaging system for generating multiple images includes a first imaging device and a second imaging device. The first imaging device includes a sensor and has a first optical path from an object to the sensor for generating a first object image. The second imaging device includes a sensor and has a first optical path from an object to the sensor for generating a second object image. At least one of the first imaging device and the second imaging device includes a second optical path from an external reference marker to its sensor for generating a reference image. The reference image indicates positioning of the first imaging device or the second imaging device.

Abstract: A system method and computer program product for setting up a wireless electronic device to join a wireless local area network (LAN). The method upon which the system and computer program product is based includes sending a setup request from the wireless electronic device to a control device, the setup request including a request to be added to the wireless LAN, and receiving at the wireless device a data package from the control device, the data package including network information necessary for the wireless device to join the wireless LAN. The network information are then executed at the wireless device to establish a wireless connection to an access point of the wireless LAN. The setup request may be sent at a low power to ensure that only the control device in close proximity can receive the request. After the wireless connection to the LAN is established, the wireless electronic device resumes full power communications.

Abstract: A system and method are directed towards enabling centralized registration for managing a selective display of visitor information to distributed social networking websites. A visitor may enter selective personal information, and determine what information is made available on a social networking webpage. The visitor may then return to the social networking website to view selective visitor information, such as within a reader roll. A visitor to a social networking website may select to not have their information displayed at selective a social networking website, while still being displayed at another social networking website. In one embodiment, selecting to not display their information may be performed by ‘mousing’ over their information and selecting a display option. Social networking websites may look to a centralized registration system to determine whether to display the visitor information, while still being able to obtain information about the visitor, and/or provide benefits to the visitor.

Abstract: In the context of a site analysis report showing paths between nodes, nodes are automatically positioned within the report in an intelligent manner, according to specified criteria so as to provide useful information about the represented pages. For example, the Y-axis can indicate relative depth of a page in the site, while the X-axis represents conversion rate. Alternatively, node position can represent any other quantitatively representable data, either specified as a default or selected by the user. In one embodiment, the automatic positioning can be overridden by a user, if desired.

Abstract: A method for analyzing web page paths associated with accesses to one or more web pages associated with one or more websites is disclosed. The method includes storing, for each instance of a web page access of the one or more web pages, time of access data, page access data, and entity data. The method further includes, for each entity reflected in the storage, determining one or more web page paths traversed by the entity based at least on the time of access data and the page access data, wherein each path includes accesses to at least two web pages. The method additionally includes analyzing at least one of the one or more websites or at least one of the one or more web pages, based on the determined one or more web page paths, and providing the analysis to one or more users or software processes.

Abstract: A method for correcting an image of a physical object first captures images of a circle and a rectangle set of a calibration plate placed on a measurement machine, and determines correction data using the images of the circle and the rectangle. The method further corrects the image of the physical object captured by the measurement machine according to the correction data, and displays a corrected image of the physical object.

In the method of the present invention, a captured image is converted into 1-D distance-axis signal information; a differential value of the 1-D distance-axis signal information is used to determine a position of an object; and a difference of the 1-D distance-axis signal information of at least two adjacent time points is used to determine an approaching status of an object.

Exemplary embodiments may be realized as methods and systems for transferring a sequential media loaded in a drive from a first host to a second host without physically unloading the media. The first host may have a persistent reservation or non-persistent reservation of the drive. Likewise, the second host may have a persistent reservation or non-persistent reservation of the drive. Logical unload, logical load and preemption commands are utilized as is error recovery from a failed reservation.

Abstract: Multicast capability in a virtual private LAN service (VPLS) is provided in a provider IP/MPLS infrastructure without headend replications by encapsulating a customer data packet to use an established multicast protocol, such as IP multicast. In one example, the customer data packet is encapsulated by an IP header having an IP multicast group address and an Ethernet header. In one implementation, a DNS type mechanism is provided to distribute the IP multicast addresses for VPLS use. Such IP multicast group address can be set aside from an administratively scoped address range. An efficient IP routing algorithm running on the provider's network provides an efficient distribution tree for routing IP-encapsulated customer packet for the VPLS.

A host computer hosting a region in a virtual environment provides an event stream including a plurality of event data segments identifying activity occurring in the virtual environment to a client computer participating in the virtual environment. The host computer receives a request to provide virtual environment content including imagery data associated with the virtual environment to the client computer, and provides a content stream including a plurality of content data segments containing virtual environment content at a content stream bandwidth based on an event stream bandwidth associated with the event stream to the client computer.

Abstract: A mediation method and a mediation system divided into independent node components that process event records independently of the other components of the system. In addition, the system is provided with at least one node manager component that monitors the functioning of the node components. Each of the independent node components operates according to its own settings and is thus self-contained and capable of continuing operation even though some of the other components are temporarily inoperative. The system comprises audit counters providing counts relating to the processed event records, and the node manager is configured to check whether the counts of the audit counters match, in order to ensure that no event records are lost in the mediation system.

When a mobile device is near a dissemination medium, group data and individual data transmitted by at least one ubiquitous proxy transmission interface of the dissemination medium are read by a ubiquitous proxy receiving interface of the mobile device. A screen of the mobile device displays an interaction icon corresponding to the ubiquitous proxy according to the group data and the individual data. Uniform resource locator data in the individual data of the ubiquitous proxy corresponding to the interaction icon is read when the interaction icon is activated. A redirect operation is performed according to the uniform resource locator data to obtain a corresponding network service.

Abstract: The present invention relates to systems, apparatus, and methods of utilizing delta coding in acceleration proxy servers. The method including storing, at a proxy server, a plurality of dictionary pages within a page storage disk and indexing, at the proxy server, the plurality of dictionary pages with fingerprint identifiers. The fingerprint identifiers are configured to uniquely identify data strings within each of the plurality of dictionary pages. The method further includes receiving, at the proxy server, a data request. The request includes a plurality of fingerprints associated with the requested data.

Abstract: A system and a method dynamically adjusts the quality of service guarantees for virtual servers based upon the resource demands experienced by the virtual servers. Virtual server resource denials are monitored to determine if a virtual server is overloaded based upon the resource denials. Virtual server resources are modified dynamically to respond to the changing resource requirements of each virtual server. Occasionally, a physical host housing a virtual server may not have additional resources to allocate to a virtual server requiring increased resources. In this instance, a virtual server hosted by the overloaded physical host is transferred to another physical host with sufficient resources.
