Abstract: A control processing unit simultaneously drives cameras to produce images of a measuring object, the control processing unit searches corresponding point on a comparative image produced by one of the cameras for a representative point in a reference image produced by the other camera, and the control processing unit computes a three-dimensional coordinate corresponding to a coordinate using the coordinate of each point correlated by the search. The control processing unit also obtains a shift amount at the corresponding point specified by the search to an epipolar line specified based on a coordinate of a representative point on the reference image side or a parameter indicating a relationship between the cameras, and the control processing unit supplies the shift amount as an evaluation value indicating accuracy of three-dimensional measurement along with three-dimensional measurement result.

The platform can include a device management service (DMS) server in which the DMS server can act as a gateway for communications with one or more computing devices, and the computing devices are associated with a first entity. The platform can also include an application service (AS) server in which the AS server is communicatively coupled with the DMS server. When a first computing device contacts the DMS server, the DMS server is operable to provide a bundle to the first computing device. As an example, the bundle contains content that at least includes one or more configuration messages and an application set that contains one or more predefined applications. The content of the bundle can be determined at least in part by the first entity.

Abstract: A system and method for accelerating web page delivery is disclosed in one embodiment. Web requests are made to an edge server of a first point of presence (POP) of a content delivery network (CDN). The web content can be cached at the edge server in the first POP. Where the cache is missing the web content, it is queried from a second POP determined to be closer to the origin server for the web content. The second POP can have its own cache or request the web content from the origin server. Only missing components from the web content are passed to the first POP. Additionally, the missing components can be compressed.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to systems and methods for exporting usage history data as input to a management platform of a target cloud-based network. A usage export service can be abstracted and provided external to a host cloud-based network, which can capture the usage history of software or resources by one or more users in the host cloud-based network. Those user(s) or others may wish to export some or all of the usage history to a target cloud or clouds, to perform management or configuration actions in the target cloud(s). The selective subset of the usage history can be transmitted to the cloud management system of the target cloud-based network. The selective subset can be used for management actions in the target cloud(s), such as for instance, to instantiate or configure a set of virtual machines for failover or re-clouding purposes, or to aggregate usage history from the host and target cloud(s).

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein may intercept, quarantine, and moderate communications internal to an uncontrolled system. An example of an uncontrolled system may be a Web application associated with a social networking site. In accessing the social networking site, a user may type in a message. An instance of the uncontrolled system running on the user's device may prepare a request containing the message. Some embodiment disclosed herein may determine that the message is subject to moderation, intercept the request, and place the message in a queue. This determination may be based on the destination of the request as well the type of the message. Some embodiments may reconstruct the original request for resubmission. If the session is expired, some embodiments may log in for the user and resubmit the reconstructed request. Some embodiments may simply wait for the next time the user logs in to resubmit the reconstructed request.

Abstract: Techniques for HTTP header compression are described herein. In an implementation, an electronic device may be configured to enable compression/decompression of HTTP messages, including compression/decompression of information in the headers of the messages. A HTTP message is generated that contains at least a header and a body. The HTTP message is reformatted to place at least some of the header information into the body. Then, the body of the reformatted message having the header information is compressed to form a compressed HTTP message. Decompression may be applied by a recipient of the compressed HTTP message to reconstruct the original HTTP message.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes an identifier generation module, an identifier write module, an identifier storage, and a removable media control module. The identifier generation module generates a media identifier for a removable medium connected to the information processing apparatus. The identifier write module writes the generated media identifier in a predetermined area in the removable medium. The identifier storage stores the generated media identifier in an identifier list. The removable media control module permits use of a removable medium which is newly connected to the information processing apparatus if a media identifier included in the identifier list is written in a predetermined area in the newly connected removable medium.

Abstract: A novel eco-system is provided which first supplies a standardized template of one or more virtual machine images for software module providers/vendors. A plurality of modules executing on the virtual machine images is selected by a user to comprise a plurality of configurations. A suitable configuration may be determined according to a metric and the determined suitable configuration of software modules is subsequently used to build an end-to-end solution.

Abstract: A method of establishing a charged connection using a screen sharing application between multi-platforms is disclosed. A transmitting end application is installed in a transmitting end apparatus of a sharing source. A receiving end application is installed in a receiving end apparatus of a sharing target. If the transmitting end application is a charged version, an unlimited connection is established for performing screen sharing between the transmitting end apparatus and any receiving end apparatus. If the transmitting end application is a free version, the method further confirms if the receiving end application is a charged version for deciding whether a limited connection or an unlimited connection should be established. Thus, it is assured that either the transmitting end application or the receiving end application is a charged version, the interests of application developers are protected and users are free from paying twice for establishing one connection.

Abstract: When a failure notification is received that was transmitted from a service node indicating a failure of a wireless communication device to pass an authentication when attempting to register with a communication network, device information, network data, and a user profile associated with the wireless communication device is retrieved and processed to generate a network access score for the wireless communication device. If the network access score exceeds a priority threshold, a priority notification is transferred instructing the service node to bypass the authentication for the wireless communication device. If the network access score exceeds a legitimate user threshold but does not exceed the priority threshold, an access notification is transferred instructing the service node to bypass the authentication for the wireless communication device, and subsequent usage of the wireless communication device is monitored for fraudulent activity.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are directed towards enabling auditing of network vulnerabilities from multiple network vantage points virtually simultaneously. Multiple network vantage points may include, but are not limited to, remote/branch enterprise sites, devices on an enterprise perimeter, on either side of a security perimeter, and even through the security perimeter. In one embodiment, an auditor performs reflected audits thereby extending auditing of network vulnerabilities to provide a comprehensive 360 degree audit of internal, external, and remote enterprise network sites. In one embodiment, the present invention may be implemented employing a single auditing device, and one or more audit extension devices that are configured to extend the auditing device's audit reach. The auditing device and one or more audit extension devices may communicate using an encrypted network channel through a security perimeter and/or across multiple networks.

Abstract: A method and system for managing network notifications when a guest migrates in a virtual machine system. A guest hosted by a computer system migrates from a source hypervisor to a target hypervisor in the computer system. The computer system packetizes multiple network addresses of the guest into a network packet. The target hypervisor then transmits the network packet to network devices coupled to the computer system.

Abstract: A system and a method dynamically adjusts the quality of service guarantees for virtual servers based upon the resource demands experienced by the virtual servers. Virtual server resource denials are monitored to determine if a virtual server is overloaded based upon the resource denials. Virtual server resources are modified dynamically to respond to the changing resource requirements of each virtual server. Occasionally, a physical host housing a virtual server may not have additional resources to allocate to a virtual server requiring increased resources. In this instance, a virtual server hosted by the overloaded physical host is transferred to another physical host with sufficient resources.
