  • Patent number: 10554884
Abstract: An in-vehicle camera control device is provided for an in-vehicle camera that includes an imaging element for picking up an image around the vehicle. The apparatus controls a state of current supply to the imaging element. In the apparatus, current supply to the imaging element is prevented from starting when the temperature in the vicinity of the imaging element is high. Specifically, upon start of processing, current supply to the imaging element of the in-vehicle camera is stopped first (camera is powered OFF). Therefore, at least immediately after the ignition is turned on, current supply to the imaging element is not performed. When a state where a temperature measured by a temperature measurement section provided in the vicinity of the imaging element is not more than an ON threshold continues for a duration expressed by Ams×(startup counter value), current supply to the imaging element is started.

  • Patent number: 10551622
Abstract: An input-coupler of an optical waveguide includes one or more Bragg polarization gratings for coupling light corresponding to the image in two different directions into the optical waveguide. The input-coupler splits the FOV of the image coupled into the optical waveguide into first and second portions by diffracting a portion of the light corresponding to the image in a first direction toward a first intermediate component, and diffracting a portion of the light corresponding to the image in a second direction toward a second intermediate component. An output-coupler of the waveguide combines the light corresponding to the first and second portions of the FOV, and couples the light corresponding to the combined first and second portions of the FOV out of the optical waveguide so that the light corresponding to the image and the combined first and second portions of the FOV is output from the optical waveguide.

  • Patent number: 10553052
Abstract: An automation hub may automatically identify the arrival of a package to a location and provide a notification of the delivery to a user. A package authenticator may be generated via the automation hub at the location for embedment in a packaging of a product that is being ordered from a merchant for delivery to the location. Subsequently, the package authenticator may be associated with a pending delivery of the product at the location in response to receiving an indication that the package authenticator is submitted to the merchant via an order. The presence of an arrived package authenticator may be detected in proximity of the location via a sensor that is connected to the automation hub. A notification of arrival for the product may be generated for presentation on connected user devices in response to the arrived package authenticator matching the package authenticator.

  • Patent number: 10547849
Abstract: An image processing system incorporates a distortion correction (DC) sub-system in order to quickly correct skewed images. The DC sub-system includes a buffer, a processor and a sparse matrix table (SMT). The buffer is sized according to an amount of distortion in an input image. Input image pixels from an input frame are buffered in the buffer, and other input image pixels from the same frame overwrite the buffered input image pixels, reducing latency of the DC sub-system. The SMT is dynamically configurable and provides mapping values for mapping output pixels to input pixels. The processor implements combinational logic, including multipliers, lookup tables and adders. The combinational logic interpolates flow control parameters, pixel coordinate values, and pixel intensity values. The distortion correction values are streamed to a display or provided to a subsequent image processing block for further processing.

  • Patent number: 10547824
Abstract: Provided is a data processing apparatus for calculating confidence coefficient data to indicate a confidence of pixel values of a second image data. The apparatus acquires similarity between a pixel value of a first pixel of the first image data corresponding to a target pixel of the confidence coefficient data, and each pixel value of a plurality of second pixels around the first pixel. The apparatus acquires the confidence coefficient by determining an estimated pixel value in the third pixel of the second image data corresponding to the first pixel, based on the similarity of each of the plurality of second pixels, each pixel value of the plurality of fourth pixels around the third pixel and the pixel value of the third pixel and by comparing the pixel value of the third image and the estimated pixel value in the third pixel.

  • Patent number: 10542262
Abstract: Systems and methods which provide a joint machine learning and game theory modeling (MLGT) framework for video coding rate control (RC) are described. A machine learning based R-D model classification scheme may be provided to facilitate improved R-D model prediction accuracy and a mixed R-D model based game theory approach may be implemented to facilitate improved RC performance. For example, embodiments may provide inter frame Coding Tree Units (CTUs) level bit allocation and RC optimization in HEVC. • Patent number: 10535369
Abstract: It is possible to accurately and securely execute conversion from an MPEG-2TS format to an MP4 format. A data converting unit that executes format conversion from an MPEG-2TS format to an MP4 format sorts out TS packets storing video data from MPEG-2TS format data, selects a TS packet having a start code (SC) at the top of a payload on the basis of header information of the sorted out TS packets, and extracts payload configuration data other than the start code (SC) and sets the payload configuration data as configuration data of MP4 format data. The data converting unit determines, on the basis of, for example, a value of a transport priority set in a header of the TS packet, whether or not the TS packet is a TS packet in which a start code (SC) is set in a top region of a payload.
