    Abstract: A central belt lock, particularly for a parachute harness, includes a housing, a main pin or journal which is manually rotatable and axially movable therein, and an anchor plate which cooperates with a plurality of retaining bolts for the belt attachment or coupling members. There is dealt with the problem of allowing the belt attachment members to be released and thus disconnected from the lock even if the parachutist for some reason is unable to actuate the lock manually, after making a jump over the sea. Therefore, a central belt lock is provided to be activated by sea water and can be released thereby, without affecting the function thereof when operated manually. For this purpose, the main journal (2a) has at least one longitudinal bore in which a push rod (12) is mounted so as to be longitudinally movable. An actuator (20, 27) is associated with the push rod and is actuated when coming into contact with water, axially moving the push rod (12) and hence the anchor plate (5) with the retaining bolts (6).

    Abstract: A drawer apparatus to be mounted through any substantially vertical planar wall wherein there is available unused space located behind the wall. An opening of selected size is formed within the wall. A drawer housing is mounted through the opening and positioned so that the floor of the drawer housing is located substantially horizontal. The drawer housing has a drawer housing face which is to be pivotable a limited amount relative to the drawer housing to accommodate different inclinations of the wall away from vertical. A separate drawer is to mounted in a close conforming manner within the drawer housing. A drawer face is mounted in conjunction with the drawer which is also tiltable in respect to the drawer so as to be located at the same angle of inclination as the drawer housing face. The drawer face and the drawer housing face connect together when the drawer is completely in the retracted position.

The chair (10) further comprising a frame (16) including a first support assembly (20) for pivotally supporting the seat (12) and a second support assembly (22) for pivotally supporting the knee support (14). Means are also provided for selectively altering the linear distance between the seat (12) and the knee support (14). In the preferred embodiment, such means comprise a connector arm (40) secured to the first support assembly (20) for slidably engaging the second support assembly (22).

    Abstract: A cart on casters is provided for dispensing medication to patients as in a nursing home. The cart is provided with a plurality of drawers, each of which is divided into a plurality of storage areas or compartments. Slide members are mounted on top of the partitions, and are provided with recesses for holding medicine cups and with cross slots for holding patient identification cards. Patient medication cards and blister pack medication cards are stored in an adjacent storage area or compartment in the same order as and in close contiguous relation with the cups and patient cards. Each slide member can be pulled forwardly of its respective drawer for more ready access for dispensing of medication from the cups. An additional dispensing area is provided for medicines that are dispensed as needed including pivotable plastic cups which are turned as soon as the medication has been dispensed so that it is apparent that dispensing has taken place.

    Abstract: An improved height adjustment mechanism for a vehicle seat is disclosed which is adapted to incline the entire seat. In this height adjustment mechanism, four plate-like receiving pieces are provided respectively in the four leg rods of a seat frame in such a manner that they are respectively inclined or descend forwardly, and, on the other hand, four support plates are provided in a mounting platform to be fixed to the vehicle in such a manner that they respectively have the same inclined surface as that of the receiving piece, thereby achieving a face engagement between the respective receiving pieces and support plates. Such face engagement allows loads applied to the respective leg rods to be dispersed over the entire mounting platform.

To enable the pie-shaped cut out of the shelf to be located in a predetermined angular home position relative to the cabinet door, a detent mechanism is incorporated in the bearing assembly. The detent mechanism includes a cage carried by the rotatable bearing member and supporting a detent ball which snaps into a detent notch in the fixed bearing member to hold the shelf releasably in its home position.

    Abstract: An improved child's seat for mounting at the edge of a table includes a pair of spaced U-shaped frame members and a seat and back releasably secured thereto. The seat and back defines channels which embrace portions of the frame members, and which may be snap-connected thereto for release therefrom. The channels provide extensions which define aligned apertures to snap-receive clip-providing locking pins. A removable vertical restraining post is snap-secured to the seat by locking hooks to prevent a child user from sliding forwardly off the seat. The frame members each mount a vertically extending strut. A lock assembly is slideably mounted on the strut for upward movement to clamp against the lower surface of a table top. The lock assembly resists downward movement via a wedge which bears downwardly against the strut. A spring so maintains the wedge-strut relationship.
