Abstract: A table comprising two or more legs, at least one leg being fitted with a height adjustment mechanism, all legs being fitted with adjustment mechanisms that are adjustable both in separate and in interconnected relationship.

Abstract: A cantilevered drawer slide arrangement for supporting drawers where the slide hardware is entirely hidden inside the drawer cabinet. A pair of individual tracks are mounted on each side of the cabinet inside the front face. A square bracket having roller wheels fits on each side of the rear of the drawer. The forward wheel is behind the rear third of the drawer. The wheels ride in the tracks on each side and are kept in the cabinet by track stops. An adjustable drawer alignment screw on each side of the drawer between the drawer and the drawer cabinet provides a means to minimize the drawer side movement when the drawer is extended.

Abstract: A folding child support (10) for diaper changing and infant dressing includes an elongate housing (12) having a back (14) and side portions (15) for mounting on a wall or other vertical surface with hinge projections (16) projecting from the side portions (15) near the bottom of the housing (12). An elongate base (20) provides a recessed child support surface (40) with safety boundary panels (42, 44) and is constructed for complementary engagement in the elongate housing (12). The base (20) is provided with complementary hinge projection receivers or bearing surfaces (62) for removable and replaceable interfitting hinged coupling of the base (20) with the hinge projections (16) of the housing (12) and for pivotal folding of the base (20) relative to the housing (12) between a closed position and a substantially horizontal open position.

Abstract: A protective system for the vent window of a motor vehicle that comprises a metal mesh member positioned across the vent window inside the vehicle. A blocking pin connected to the mesh member extends laterally at a location that blocks rotational movement of the vent window latch from a locked mode onto the adjacent door frame wherein the vent window is prevented from being rotated from its closed position to an open position. The mesh member has a frame that includes a forward angled frame portion and a horizontal bottom frame portion that are adapted to secure the mesh member to the front door. A plate is secured to the front door via window regulator plate screws. A hinge secured to the plate and the bottom frame portion is adapted to rotate the mesh member about a horizontal axis to a position away from the vent window. A mounting bar having a slidable member is secured to the front door via vent window frame screws.

Abstract: A cable carrier/retractor for supporting, protecting and guiding a cable to an equipment drawer in a cabinet including a framework while at the same time allowing for addition or removal of cables without any disassembly of the mechanism. The carrier supports a cable from an entry position adjacent to the framework of the drawer to an exit position adjacent to the back panel of the drawer. The carrier generally comprises a first having an entry end for supporting a cable from the entry position to an intermediate position, and a second channel for supporting the cable from an intermediate position to the exit position, a hinged mount connecting the first channel to the frame, and an intermediate hinge for connecting the channels. In a preferred embodiment, a retaining hinge connected to a drawer-mounted slide member or the drawer back panel holds the exit end of the second channel in a position adjacent to the back panel.

Abstract: A work table having a pedestal and a table top supported on the pedestal and adapted to support organizational walls, shelves, electrical devices, computers, and telephones, without limiting the work surface of the table or requiring that the work table be placed on a wall. The work table has in a rear region and below the table top a multifunction rail which extends the entire width of the table and is fixedly supported on the pedestal of the table. The multifunction rail is freely accessible from the rear of the table and can support devices which in turn support visible and organizational walls, shelves for additional items, files, lights, and so forth.

Abstract: A strap tightener is disclosed. The tightener includes a base member having edges for guiding a pair of threaded members. A drive member is mounted between the threaded members and a keeper is located adjacent the base for maintaining the base generally parallel to the length of strap during tightening.

Abstract: A canopy structure adapted to be disposed over a conventional display gondola and having a universal mounting device attachable to the top marginal edge of the gondola. The canopy includes a header assembly having adjustable panels, a rear panel and a front sign panel. The rear edge of the header is attached to the mounting device and the opposite edge is supported by posts extending upwardly from the bottom shelf of the gondola. The adjustable panels of the header assembly include front and rear flanged panels with a plurality of apertures formed in each of the flanges in alignment with one another. The rear end panel section telescopes into the front end panel section and fastening means are utilized to fix the depth of the end panels to match the depth of the gondola shelves.

Abstract: A receptacle for detachably receiving a memory cassette is disclosed. A holder member reciprocates in unison with the movement of an openable cover member to hold the memory cassette thereon. Drive means is provided for driving the holder member in a reciprocal movement. The holder member includes means for locating the memory cassette.

Abstract: A swinging gate apparatus is provided having a gate member which automatically opens by pressure applied to either side by an automobile or other vehicle. In opening, the gate member tilts upwardly so that the force of gravity causes it to close. The rate of opening and closing is controlled by the concertive action of spring means, motion dampening means, and a cam mechanism.

Abstract: In a vertically adjustable window pane which is to be guided on only one side of the window, a stationary resilient guide member provided with an undercut facing in a direction away from the window and a guide rail secured to a side edge of the window which is cooperably received within the guide member to guide the window pane when it is vertically adjusted.

Abstract: A novel glass display case is disclosed herein and includes a plurality of vertical side walls with openings therethrough, a plurality of brackets associated with the side walls, each bracket including a body of a generally U-shaped configuration defined by a pair of spaced legs and an arm joined therebetween, a slot defined by the pair of legs and arm for supportingly receiving therein an edge of an article-supporting shelf, and the legs defining therebetween recesses disposed normal to each other for receiving ends of rods from which can be suspended or supported for display purposes suitable articles, such as ties or shoes.

Abstract: A belt buckle comprising two unitary plate metal parts, each having an opening for attaching the ends of a belt thereto. One buckle part defines and arcuate tongue, having a part cylindrical recess therein, for receiving a latch bar formed on the other part with the plane of the latch bar inclined to prevent accidental separation of the buckle parts. A belt clamp bar, on the belt part opposite the tongue, grips a doubled back end portion of the belt for adjusting the belt length and tension.

Abstract: A fast-response solenoid valve. A three-way form has a body with three successive separated openings interconnected by a linear fluid pathway having two chambers lying between successive pairs of openings, each with a movable ball and a ball seat in respective ball cages. Each cage has a cylindrical exterior wall in snug engagement with the wall of the linear fluid passageway, a seat at one end, and a tanged retainer portion at the other end, so that, each ball is retained in its cage for limited axial movement between its seat and its tanged portion. A cylindrical non-magnetic tube is aligned with the linear fluid pathway, one end of the tube abutting a portion of the body. A non-magnetic end plug is held at a fixed position at the distal end of the tube, and a magnetic guide plug is held at a fixed position in the tube spaced away from the end plug. A solenoid plunger is in said tube, movable in between the two plugs and in connection with a plunger pin that engages one of the balls.

Abstract: A rotary file having an outer fixed cabinet and an inner cabinet rotatable on a vertical axis includes a locking mechanism comprised of a pair of simultaneously movable stops that can interfere with rotation of the inner cabinet in either direction. The stops are spaced from each other and are hinge-mounted to a fixed base of the outer cabinet so that they can be raised up to an interfering position with any one of the four sides of a square base member of the inner rotatable cabinet. One stop precludes rotation of the inner cabinet in a clockwise direction, while the other stop precludes rotation of the inner cabinet in a counterclockwise direction. An elongated bell crank member, rotatable on a horizontal axis by means of a user-activated locking handle, is connected to the hinge-mounted stops by a pair of vertically extending parallel links, movement of the bell crank member causing concurrent movement of the stops between their interfering and non-interfering positions.

Abstract: A barrier assembly with a spring biased barrier for attachment to a refrigerator shelf. Upper and lower mounting plates clamp to the shelf. A barrier hinge is provided by forwardly projecting hinge members having eyes formed to receive the barrier. A limit stop is provided by angulated grill work members of the barrier which contact a mounting plate to limit upward travel of the spring biased barrier.

Abstract: A theater chair comprises a floor support 2, an upwardly open U-shaped iron fitting 3 fixed to the support, its front limb 32 bearing a seat 4 hinged around an axis 32 spaced from its rear edge, the latter retracting within the limbs of the U-shaped fitting when the seat is raised. The rear 36 limb bears the backrest 5 and, optionally, armrests 6.

Abstract: A door-operating apparatus for an analyzer, comprising first and second rails provided on an analyzer body, a movable member provided on said first rail, a slider fixed to said movable member, a sample table and an angle piece provided on said slider, a window frame provided movably on said second rail, a holding member attached to said window frame, and a pivotable link of which ends are supported on said holding member and said angle piece respectively, said slider being moved along said first rail so that said sample table is controlled from the outside.

Abstract: A medicine cabinet assembly has a removable closure member which is readily installed to a cabinet body after the cabinet body has been secured to the wall by inserting a pair of downwardly depending mounting pins secured to the closure member into a correspondingly spaced and sized pair of apertures defined in hinge leaves secured to the cabinet body.

Abstract: A pocket clip made by stamping in one piece from spring metal, which is securely attached to a metal writing instrument, such as a fountain pen or ball point pen simply by pushing it, manually or by machine, into an opening provided in the cap or barrel of the writing instrument, whereupon the clip automatically locks itself onto projections extending from the sides of the opening.
