Abstract: There is provided a multi-purpose machine for the application of small metallic or non-metallic workpieces, or items which can be mounted on a proper support, or on a suitable table, or at a processing line and includes a head with a fixed tool holder and a movable tool holder and a universal presser. The tool holders are adapted for carrying the pairs of tools in a removable, immediately interchangeable manner for the functions, or processes of various applications such as branding, drilling, eyelet punching, blanking or die cutting, riveting and the like. The machine may be mechanically operated by simple linkages, pneumatically by means of a pedal operation, or electrically.
Abstract: A power-screwdriver device with variable torque adjustment consists essentially of a drive mechanism, transmission, and cutoff mechanism. In order to provide a power screwdriver that is strong and inexpensive and in which the torque can be controlled with no need for a torque clutch, there is a bearing site on a transmission shaft. The bearing allows the shaft to move radially. There is a sensor that emits a motor-cutoff signal when the shaft does move radially. The radial deviation is employed as a measure of torque. The measure is adjusted with an adjusting device.
Abstract: A positive feed drill having a spindle drive gear train and a spindle feed gear train coupled to the drive gear train by side teeth on coupling gears mounted on the same shaft is provided with actuatable means for uncoupling the feed coupling gear from the drive coupling gear, and locking it when the spindle has been fed a predetermined extent, thereby retracting the spindle, and for unlocking the feed gear train, once the spindle is retracted, without recoupling it to the drive gear train, thereby holding the feed gear train in an idle mode until the automatic means is manually reset.
Abstract: A cutting tool of the ratchet operated type comprises several elements. A movable blade having a plurality of notches along the rear end thereof is moved relative to a stationary blade by an opening and closing operation of a pair of blades through a push bar which is in engagement with one of the notches. A pawl for preventing the return of the movable blade is elastically biased so as to be kept in a position disengaged from all of the notches under normal conditions. The pawl is brought into engagement with one of the notches by the push bar only when the pair of handles are fully closed relative to each other. Due to the above construction, the cutting tool according to the invention brings about reduced wear of the pawl and the notches and an easy cutting operation.
Abstract: A hair clipper comprised of a stationary blade and a movable clipper blade each provided with teeth cooperating with each other upon the reciprocating swinging movement of the clipper blade to and from the stationary blade to produce hair cut is further provided with an adjusting strip displaceable along the teeth of the stationary blade in the direction of elongation of those teeth so as to adjust the depth of the tooth gaps in the stationary blade.
Abstract: An impact screw driver which includes two changeable coupling ends of variable sizes to be inserted into differently dimensioned coupling sleeve heads of the tool bits, thereby facilitating the manufacture of the device.
Abstract: A setting device uses a driving piston for propelling fastening members into a receiving material. High pressure gases within an expansion chamber propel the driving piston through a working cylinder against a fastening element. A vent valve connects the expansion chamber with the atmosphere exterior of the setting device and, normally, the valve is maintained in the open position. A control member, located in part on the outside of the setting device, moves the vent valve into the closed position when a fastening member is to be driven.
Abstract: A power wrench operated with a pressure medium comprises a wrench head casing (10) which is engaged by a piston-cylinder unit (28,29). The other end of the piston-cylinder unit (28,29) is pressing against a support element (27) guided on a guideway (22) of the wrench head casing (10). The outer end (28) of the support element is applied to a stationary abutment. Upon rotating the wrench head (10) the ring (11) retaining the bolt or screw head is entrained by a ratchet (15) only in one sense of rotation, while the wrench head casing (10) is returned idly without entrainment of ring (11) in the other sense of rotation.
Abstract: In a machine tool such as a surface grinding machine or the like, a guide mechanism for the machine tool wherein one of a pair of opposed guideways is formed into a hydrodynamic guideway, whilst the other guideway is formed into a hydrostatic guideway, the hydrodynamic guideway is utilized as only one master guide, and on the other hand, the hydrostatic guideway is made to act in such that a moving body is pushed onto the hydrodynamic guideway with a constant pressure, so that this arrangement makes uniform the contact pressure distribution in the hydrodynamic guideway, thus the posture of the moving body is improved thereby making the same to perform precision linear motion.
Abstract: An improved retractable knife includes a frontal part of the blade carrier, which has a bottom blade supporting ledge, is embodied as a pallet adapted to firmly mount and support the area of the blade which remains within the handle so that there is no play or rattle of the blade irrespective of whether an apertured or solid blade is mounted on the carrier. The pallet has a plurality of register pins receivable in corresponding notches provided in a trapezoidal type cutting blade at the edge opposite the blade cutting edge.
Abstract: A reciprocating type electric shaver comprises an inner-blade mount holding many inner blades and connected to a first driver-element converting rotary motion of a motor into reciprocating motions and an outer blade connected to a second driver-element reciprocated at a mechanical phase reverse to the first driver-element so that the inner blades and outer blade can slidably engage with each other mutually at mechanically reverse phase and the relative momentum of the outer blade with respect to the inner blades can be enlarged.
