  • Patent number: 9447967
Abstract: This patent application relates to a burner which includes a burner head in the shape of a sleeve, under the burner head is connected with a ring gas-separating box, and in the space between the burner head and the gas-separating box there is a cylinder mixing box to mix the air and gas. Said gas-separating box has a independent center hole to bring in the air and gas inlets to bring in the gas. Several notches which are equispaced with each other and slant upwardly are set on the cylinder surface of the mixing box, while on the surface of the notches are positioned connecting holes to let the air out. Such a structure promotes the mixing process more fully of the dispersed gas and air in the slant upward notches, and the mixed flow rotates upwardly to reach the flame hole as a inversed cone frustum. Due to the full mixing of the gas and air and upward rotation of the mixed flow, the flame will burn more completely and be uneasy to be extinguished.

  • Patent number: 9366433
Abstract: A control apparatus for a gas-fired heating appliance having a burner is provided for sensing burner flame instability. The apparatus includes a sensor for sensing a flame and providing an output of a flame current signal, and a controller in communication with the sensor for sensing flame current. The controller is configured to receive the flame current signal and to detect the occurrence of a flame instability condition. The controller detects flame instability from flame current signal data that is measured and Fourier transformed into a frequency spectrum which changes from a stable to instable spectrum when flame instability is caused by an inadequate air-to-fuel ratio. The controller is configured to respond to flame instability by generating an output signal to increase the speed of a combustion air blower that supplies air to the burner, to thereby increase the air flow relative to fuel flow until normal combustion is attained.

  • Patent number: 9303868
Abstract: The invention relates to a burner system having a number of premixed burners (2), which each have one or more feed openings and outflow openings for a combustible gas/air mixture. The burner system is provided with means (11) for transferring a flame from one burner to another. By making use of such flame transfer means the burner system can be ignited at one of the burners, wherein the flame then overflows sufficiently-rapidly to the other burners in order to ignite them before a dangerously large quantity of the combustible gas/air mixture has flown out. These flame transfer means can define a flame path between the burners which can for instance be formed by an overflow pipe (12) mutually connecting the burners. The burner system can further be provided with a member (13) directed toward the flame path for the purpose of injecting the combustible gas/air mixture (M) therein. This injection member can be connected via a branch conduit (14) to a mixing chamber (5) in which the gas/air mixture is formed.

  • Patent number: 9303898
Abstract: An apparatus and method for portably heating water for the purpose of showering or cleanup. A flow of water, originating from a supply container, is warmed as it passes through a heat exchanger transferring energy from a heat source. The heated flow of water is deposited into an accumulating container. The water temperature is actively and automatically controlled by a temperature-responsive valve. Responding to the temperature of the flowing water, the temperature-responsive valve varies the flow of water so as to produce an accurate water temperature within the accumulating container. The flow of water is gravitationally motivated by a pressure head differential between the supply container positioned at an upper elevation and the accumulating container positioned at a lower elevation.
