  • Patent number: 10695659
Abstract: A puzzle set comprises a plurality of cubes, each configured with a drawing at one or more of its facets; and an interface configured to cause the cubes to be positioned one adjacent to the other while permitting a change in disposition and rotational state of any of the cubes. The drawings are designed to allow continuation of one another, by which viewable contiguous facets define together a composite symbol, upon positioning the cubes in accordance with a predetermined arrangement. At least one of the facets is rotatable in relation to other facets when the cubes are positioned one adjacent to the other, allowing rotation of its drawing without separating the cubes. In a method for generating a viewable object, a facet is displaced and rotated until the drawing on each of the viewable contiguous facets are in continuation of one another to define together the viewable object.

  • Patent number: 10688379
Abstract: Pinball machines are described. A method includes detecting an event during a game played at least in part over a surface of a playfield in a pinball machine. The playfield has first and second playfield portions. In response to the event, a playfield reducer located between the first and second portions is electronically activated in a manner sufficient to prevent a pinball from traveling between the first and second playfield portions. A pinball machine includes a playfield reducer that is operable to be in and transition between first and second positions during normal gameplay. When the playfield reducer is in the first position, the pinball is capable of rolling into and out of a portion of the playfield surface, and when the playfield reducer is in the second position, the playfield reducer prevents the pinball from accessing or from leaving the portion of the playfield surface.

  • Patent number: 10653935
Abstract: The process enables a reaction time of an athlete at the start of a race to be measured with a personalized transponder module positioned on the athlete and a base station. The module comprises a receiver unit, a processing unit, a transmitter unit for data signals and a motion sensor to supply measurement signals to the processing unit. The module is activated by a received wake-up signal and a measurement of the movement is performed by the sensor at the start of the race. The data signals are transmitted to the base station and a determination of the reaction time of the athlete at the start of the race is performed to determine a possible false start if the reaction time is below a determined time threshold following the starting signal.
