  • Patent number: 4524934
Abstract: A pipe hanger arranged to be positioned about a pipe to be suspended, moved to closed position and engaged upon a threaded support rod so as to carry the pipe is disclosed. The hanger takes the form of an elongated band preferably metal, the ends of which are brought into proximity to one another by bending the band into a general oval shape, the ends of the band are formed in configurations registering with the thread pattern of the support rod when engaged thereagainst and a ferrule is moved downwardly over the ends of the band so as to move the same into forceful engagement with the threaded supporting rod. Locking devices on the ferrule engage at least one of the ends of the band and/or the support rod so as to hold the ferrule in a position in which the ends of the band remain in tight non-slipping engagement with the threaded support rod.

  • Patent number: 4524937
Abstract: A conduit support includes a longitudinally extending channel-shaped member having a pair of spaced apart side walls. The side walls have free end portions turned inwardly to form opposed flanges that extend the length of the conduit support. A rigid buckle-like member is positioned within the conduit support so as to bridge the opposed flanges. The rigid member is supported by the flanges for slidable movement to a selected position along the length of the channel support. The rigid member includes a body portion having a plurality of fingers forming a first slot and a second slot extending through the body portion and spaced from one another. Each slot includes an open end portion and a closed end portion, thereby forming parallel, spaced apart arms connected by a bridge section. A flexible locking strip or cable tie of a preselected length extends upwardly through one of the slots across one of the arms and through the other slot and into surrounding relation with a cable.

  • Patent number: 4523734
Abstract: The holding device for a shower post is provided with a holding member, which can be fixed by a fixing element to a wall and which can be coupled to the shower post. At least the outer wall surface of the holding member is made from a transparent to clear material and is made matt to reflecting on the inside by an unglazed design. In conjunction with the transparent construction of the outer wall surface, this ensures that it is not possible to see into the interior of the holding member, the latter assuming the color of the wall to which the holding member is fixed.

  • Patent number: 4523722
Abstract: Adjustable display apparatus comprising a pair of laterally spaced side supporting elements, each having an elongated front leg, an elongated rear leg, an upper section joined to the upper ends of the front and rear legs, and a lower section joined to the front and rear legs near the lower ends thereof. Elongated support bars are removably connected to the upper and lower sections of the supporting elements and are positioned near the rear legs of the supporting elements. A pair of support panels, such as aperture boards, are secured to the rear portions of the support bars to provide a mounting surface extending between the supporting elements. The support panels are overlapped at their inner ends and are removably connected together at their overlapped portions. Laterally adjustable display racks are removably mounted in vertically spaced relation on the support panels and are laterally adjusted to extend across the support panels from one supporting element to the other.

  • Patent number: 4522365
Abstract: A mount for a mirror of a laser resonator which will permit angular adjustment of the mirror with respect to two normal axes defining a plane at right angles to the axis of the laser resonator, while minimizing undesired mirror movement due to vibration and temperature variations. The mount, in the form of a flexure plate, is of unitary construction, comprised generally of a planar base plate member, two planar adjustment members, and connecting sections which couple the three planar members together. A first pair of the connecting sections rigidly link first and second oppositely disposed corner portions of the first adjustment member to the base plate member, and a second pair of the connecting sections rigidly link other oppositely disposed corner portions of the first adjustment member, generally disposed 90.degree. relative to the first and second corner portions, to the second adjustment member.
