Abstract: A system determines a match between a requesting user of a transport service and a matched driver. Based on the match, the system transmits a trigger signal to a computing device of the requesting user. The trigger signal causes the computing device of the requesting user to generate a selectable feature that, when selected, causes the computing device of the requesting user to prominently display a specified color on a graphical user interface (GUI) generated by a rider application executing on the computing device of the requesting user. Based on the match, the system transmits a second trigger signal to the computing device of the matched driver. The second trigger signal causes the computing device of the matched driver to provide an indication of the specified color in a specified portion of a GUI generated by the driver application executing on the computing device of the matched driver.

Abstract: Template based calendar events with graphic enrichment are provided. In some examples, upon receiving a request to create a calendar event, an event creation prompt may be presented. The prompt may include an event template selection element comprising visual aids, such as icons or emojis, that each represent different event templates for selection. Upon receiving a visual aid selection, information associated with the user requesting the calendar event may be retrieved based on the selected visual aid to infer one or more aspects of the requested event such as title, timing, and location. A suggested event with the inferred aspects may be presented to the user and upon receiving confirmation and/or modification, the suggested or modified event may be added to the user's calendar. Some events may be presented with a visual background such as an image or graphics on the calendar for prompt recognition.

Abstract: An intuitive customization system includes a server unit, a display device, an interface unit and a manufacturing station. The server unit is signally connected to an internet. The display device is signally connected to the server unit. The interface unit is displayed on the display device. The interface unit includes a working window frame, a first base image, a first part image and a first pattern menu. The first pattern menu comprises P first patterns. When a user selects one of the P first patterns of the first pattern menu, the first part image displays a first customized pattern, and the first customized pattern represents the one of the P first patterns. A first user design includes the first base image, the first part image and the first customized pattern. The manufacturing station manufactures a finished product according to the first user design.

Abstract: A system for permitting a medical practitioner to interact with medical information, the system including: a sensing unit for detecting a position of a reference object used to interact with the sensing unit; at least one control unit for determining a gesture performed by the medical practitioner, identifying a command relative to the medical information that corresponds to the gesture, and executing the command in order to display the medical information; generating a graphical user interface including a virtual representation of the reference object and at least one virtual icon and/or a virtual representation of the sensing unit, with each of the at least one virtual icon corresponding to one of a respective mode of operation, a respective user notification, and a respective system setting option; and displaying the GUI along with the medical information.

Abstract: Accessibility for vision impaired users is improved with a novel screen reader system. A user interface control of a first application that switches a language applied to text displayed on the first application is identified to a second application. The second application stores an identifier for the user interface control and a value representative of the language selected by the user interface control to a data structure. The second application then listens for user control events occurring on the first application such as focus, click and selection events. When the second application detects the user interface control switching languages the second application changes the default screen reader language to the language of the visual text of the first application. Thus, the text-to-speech output of the visual text is read with the correct speech inflection and pronunciation of the selected language.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices can efficiently manage the displaying of text on a screen of a computing device. For example, a client application can provide a data object for a particular style window on the screen. The data object can include a data item, comprising text data, one or more units specifying one or more portions of the text data to be displayed in the style window, and an identifier corresponding to a particular display function to be used in displaying the text data. The display function can be invoked to determine a potential text string to display based on the text data, the one or more units, and one or more rules corresponding to the particular display function. Additional text strings can be generated to obtain a text string that is shorter than or equal to a maximum length for the data item.
