  • Patent number: 10386894
Abstract: A rotatable coupling device applied to flexible display screen includes two folding sections, a hinge disposed between the two folding sections and at least one responsive structure, which is connected with the folding sections. When the folding sections are unfolded/folded around the hinge, the responsive structure is unfolded/folded along with the folding sections. The folding sections and the responsive structure are relatively displaceable so that during the unfolding/folding process, the transmission of the deformation amount on inner and outer faces caused by the bending of the hinge can be interrupted. Therefore, the deformation amount is prevented from being further transmitted from the responsive structure outward. When the flexible display screen is coupled with the responsive structure, the responsive structure is able to absorb the deformation amount so as to eliminate the pulling or compression effect on the flexible display screen due to the deformation amount.

  • Patent number: 10376435
Abstract: The biodegradable urn planting system, also called a LIVING URN, is an apparatus capable of rapid degradation in soil that the user can fill with cremated remains, a pH neutralizing and sodium diluting material, soil, planting mix, wood chips, and a living plant (seedling or bare root stock). When one loses a loved one, it is often difficult to discern what to do with the remains (be they human or animal). Many towns and cities do not allow for burial, and storage of cremated remains can be problematic. The present invention seeks to provide a meaningful and tangible way for one to remember the loved one when the cremated remains are buried with a seedling that may be drop shipped and is appropriate for the environment of use. Thus, the seedling grows into a tree, providing comfort and a reminder of the deceased.

  • Patent number: 10368676
Abstract: A security mailbox is configured with a door having an arm on each side of the door that extends downward from the door into a secure mail-holding receptacle. A floor of the mailbox is constructed having longitudinally extending flaps on each side of the mailbox. Each flap has a rail/slide mounted along an underneath side close to the centerline of the mailbox, each rail having a stop at an end near the door. A link extends between a distal end of each arm and a respective rail, with a tension spring that pulls the link and arm toward each other. When the door is initially opened, the arms close the flaps within the first few degrees of door movement by movement of the slides in the rails. When the slides abut the rail stops, the rest of door movement is taken up by the springs.

  • Patent number: 10352081
Abstract: The invention relates to a furniture hinge (10) with a hinge arm (20) and a fastening portion (30), wherein the hinge arm (20) and the fastening portion (30) are pivotably connected to one another via a multi-axis articulated connection (40), and wherein a damping element (60), which damps in a deflection direction, for damping the movement of the hinge arm (20) and a spring (76) for adjusting the hinge arm (20) with respect to the fastening portion (30) are provided. It is provided here that the damping element (60) is mounted in such a way that, during a folding movement of the hinge arm (20) from a first end position into a second end position, a maximum or a minimum deflection of the damping element (60) is carried out within an adjusting movement of the damping element (60) caused by said folding movement. As a result, a furniture hinge which can be produced cost-effectively and which allows damped opening and closing of the hinge arm is provided.
