Abstract: A hazardous material containment bag and bag system for handling and transporting contaminated material or human remains is provided. The bag has a multi-layered structure that minimizes contamination by a chemical, biological, radiological and/or toxicological agent. The bag has an absorbent and/or adsorbent layer, which will help keep any hazardous components dissolved in bodily fluids immobilized inside the bag. The bag also has an active agent in at least one layer individually selected to neutralize or trap more than one type of contaminant. A bag system is also provided having an inner bag and a separate outer bag with the inner bag being a multi-layered structure having an absorbent material, which will help immobilize hazardous liquid, bodily fluids, and/or gases emanating from a contaminant enclosed in the inner bag. A method for using the hazardous material containment bag and bag system is also provided.

Abstract: A mailbox with silhouette support is disclosed. The silhouette has a flat front and back side which is staked into the ground at two-spaced apart places. The spaced apart places are, in some embodiments, further split by a portal there-between forming a “leg” on either side of the silhouette. The legs connect at a body region, in some embodiments, with a head region there-above. The head region supports and is directly connected to a mailbox which is situated above the silhouette, at least in part.

Abstract: A hinge apparatus that connects a first member and a second member to each other so that the first member and the second member are mutually foldable. The hinge apparatus includes a first gear disposed on the first member to rotate according to a rotation of the first member and a second gear disposed on the second member and tooth-engaged with the first gear to rotate according to a rotation of the second member or a rotation of the first gear. The hinge apparatus also including a pressure member to reinforce a mesh force between the first and the second gears.

Abstract: A mailbox for preventing mail from contacting pooling water in the mailbox includes a mailbox body and a mailbox insert, including: a front section, including a slanted portion, a front support which is connected to the slanted portion, a middle support, and a front lateral adjustment component; and a rear section, including a rear support which is connected to a rear end of the rear section, at least one side hook, and a rear lateral adjustment component; wherein the front section is configured to be insertable into the at least one side hook such that the front section is slidably coupled to the rear section; and wherein the front lateral adjustment component and the rear lateral adjustment component are configured to expand and contract laterally.

Abstract: Caskets, cap panel assemblies for a casket, and methods for manufacturing cap panel assemblies are described. A casket may include a casket shell, at least one casket cap pivotally mounted on the casket shell, and a cap panel assembly mounted in the at least one casket cap. The cap panel assembly may include a cap panel, a puffing member attached to each edge of the cap panel, a cap panel insert positioned in-line with the cap panel, and a plurality of resilient members positioned on a front face of the cap panel insert. The plurality of resilient members may be tensioned, for example, to hold keepsakes, memorabilia, or other types of objects on or in the cap panel insert. The cap panel insert can include a mounting bracket or a screw and wire assembly for mounting the cap panel insert on a wall.

Abstract: A hinge for a door, such a glass shower door, including a back plate attachable to a surface, a hinge block extending from the back plate, a clamp rotatably coupled to the hinge block for receiving the glass shower door, and a hinge limiter attached to one of a front or a back exterior surface of the hinge block. The hinge limiter may have a length equal to or less than a length of the hinge block and a width less than a width of the hinge block. A hood attached to the lid surrounds the opening. An aperture in the hood allows passage of the packaging into the lid opening. The hood includes rear, right, left, and top walls. RF absorbing material covers inside surfaces of the chute and hood, including a front panel on the chute front wall, a rear panel on the hood rear wall and the chute rear wall, a left side panel on the hood left side wall and the chute left side wall, a right side panel on the hood right side wall and the chute right side wall, and a top panel on the hood top.

Abstract: A cremation urn comprising an internal structure with an opening, an external opening with an opening that is correspondingly aligned with the opening on the internal structure, and sealing means in the form of a threaded lid or press fit lid. A threaded flange is attached to the opening on the internal structure and is molded into the urn during manufacturing. The materials used for the urn produce an urn with the appearance of marble. Once the urn is made, by use of a manufacturing method, the threaded lid is screwed into the threaded flange, thereby creating a one-piece, air-tight and water-tight cremation urn.

Abstract: A mailbox system includes a mailbox body for receiving and storing mail items. One or more receiver units are disposed along an outside facing surface of the mailbox body and function to receive at least one address indicator having a plurality of lighted elements along a front facing surface thereof. An internal controller having a power unit is positioned within the mailbox body. The power unit includes at least one battery and at least one solar cell for supplying the necessary electrical information to the receiver unit and the address indicators. Physical markings are disposed along the address indicator and form address information. When activated, the plurality of lighted elements display address information.

Abstract: A hinge assembly includes a guiding unit connected between and slidable relative to first and second hinge units along arcuate lines. The second hinge unit has a pivot shaft extending through first and second rings, and a resilient washer. The second ring is rotatable on the pivot shaft relative to the first ring and has a radial extension member telescopically connected to a pivotal arm of the first hinge unit. The resilient washer pushes the second ring against the first ring. A protrusion of the first ring slides along a contact surface of the second ring having a groove so that a variable friction toque is created against relative movement of the first and second hinge units.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a hinge for furniture or domestic appliances, comprising a lateral part on which a hinge part is pivotally mounted via two levers. A damping device is provided having a movable damping element which is mounted in a movable manner between guide elements for damping purposes and which can be moved via a first actuation element during a closing movement of the hinge before reaching the closed position. A second actuation element is provided which pushes the damping element during an opening movement of the hinge before reaching the maximum opening position for damping an opening process. In this manner, the hinge provides an opening as well as a closing damping function.
