Abstract: A mailbox insert to prevent mail from contacting pooling water in a mailbox, includes: a front section, including a slanted portion, a front support which is connected to the slanted portion, a middle support, and a front lateral adjustment component; and a rear section, including a rear support which is connected to a rear end of the rear section, at least one side hook, and a rear lateral adjustment component; wherein the front section is configured to be insertable into the at least one side hook such that the front section is slidably coupled to the rear section, whereby the mailbox insert is configured to allow a user to change a length of the mailbox insert; and wherein the front lateral adjustment component and the rear lateral adjustment component are configured to expand and contract laterally, whereby the mailbox insert is configured to allow a user to change a width of the mailbox insert.

Abstract: A supporting mechanism and a sorting machine having the same are provided. The supporting mechanism includes a supporting body. An annular sliding slot is formed on a section of surface of the supporting body. A U-shaped clamping slot is provided in a ring of the annular sliding slot. A one-way deflecting locating valve plate is provided at the position of an opening of the U-shaped clamping slot and configured to close the annular sliding slot, and the locating valve plate is provided with a reset force configured to ensure a tendency of the locating valve plate to close the annular sliding slot. A deflecting angle of the locating valve plate ensures that a free end of the locating valve plate deflects from one side to another side of the opening of the U-shaped clamping slot. The supporting mechanism has a simple operation and a high efficiency.

Abstract: A hinge includes at least one shaft set including a first shaft and a second shaft. The first shaft and the second shaft extend through a first guiding member and a second guiding member. A guiding base is disposed between the first shaft and the second shaft. The first shaft and the second shaft connect to an upper plate and a lower plate. The upper plate and the lower plate are connected to two rotatable parts of an electronic device. The first shaft and the second shaft moves relatively along with the rotation of the two rotatable parts of the electronic device.

Abstract: A burial vault assembly includes a box that may contain a corpse. The box may be buried underground having the corpse being vertically oriented. Thus, the box occupies less space in a graveyard than a casket. A lid is selectively positioned on the box and the lid closes the box. A seal is coupled to the lid and the seal is comprised of a resiliently compressible material. Thus, the seal forms a fluid impermeable seal with the box when the lid is positioned on the box to inhibit decomposition gases from escaping the box.

Abstract: A hollow twin-wheel caster structure of a luggage includes a wheel seat for coupling to the bottom of the luggage, the wheel seat having a horizontal inner annular hole; a hollow shaft unit inserted in the inner annular hole, two ends of the hollow shaft unit extending out of two sides of the inner annular hole to form a pair of coupling portions, the center of the hollow shaft unit being formed with a hollow portion communicating with the two ends of the hollow shaft unit; two plastic wheels fitted on the coupling portions; at least one bearing fitted on the hollow shaft unit; and a support member plugged into the hollow portion of the hollow shaft unit, the support member leaning against an inner wall of the hollow portion to prevent the hollow shaft unit from being compressed and deformed.

Abstract: A furniture leg protective sock is constructed of a stretchable/expandable non-friction material, which is double-layered to form an outer layer, an inner layer, and a gap therebetween. The furniture leg protective sock includes friction material which is located on the inner surface of the furniture leg protective sock and a stabilizing material, which is located in the gap between the inner surface of the inner layer and the inner surface of the outer layer, to provide rigidity and stretchability to furniture leg protective sock. The furniture leg protective sock also includes non-penetrating material, which is located in a bottom portion of the furniture leg protective sock to prevent a furniture leg from piercing through the furniture leg protective sock.

Abstract: A wheel cover assembly includes a wheel housing configured to house a wheel mechanism; a neck portion upwardly extending from the wheel housing, wherein the neck portion includes a hollow channel that extends into the wheel housing; a pair of clips configured on the neck portion; and a lip portion extending from a lower portion of the wheel housing. The wheel housing includes a first half wheel cover; a second half wheel cover; and a plurality of tabs connected to each of the first half wheel cover and the second half wheel cover, wherein the plurality of tabs selectively align together upon connection of the first half wheel cover with the second half wheel cover.

Abstract: A hinge has two housings adapted to be recessed in a door frame and a door edge and a link assembly extending between the housings and having ends pivoted in the housings. A vertically shiftable support body in one of the housings has a row of teeth extending horizontally in a first direction. A bearing block sitting on the support body forms a pivot for the respective end of the link assembly. A screw extending through the bearing block and threaded into the support body is tightenable to bear on and fix the bearing block on the support body. A gear captured in the seat of the bearing block meshes with the row of teeth and is rotatable to shift the bearing block on the support body in the first horizontal direction in an untightened condition of the screw.

Abstract: A casket and lid combination includes a casket body and a lid. The casket body has an interior defined by a bottom, pair of opposing side walls and a pair of opposing end walls arranged perpendicular to said side walls, the side walls and end wall extending upwardly from the bottom. The lid covers the interior when installed, and includes a top, a first side extending downwardly from the top, and second side extending downwardly from the top opposite the first side, at least one end extending downwardly from the top perpendicular to the first side and the second side, a first hinge for attaching the first side to the top, and a second hinge for attaching the second side to the top. When the end is not attached to the lid, the first side and second side may be folded inwardly toward a centerline of the top such that the top may be place directly on the casket body with the folded in sides located within the interior of the casket body.

Abstract: A casket assembly includes a bottom panel, side panels, flaps and end panels. The bottom panel is formed of a pliable material. The side panels and end panels are coupled to the bottom panel. Each side panel includes a lower section and an upper section foldably attached thereto. The lower section extends vertically upward from the bottom panel. In a first configuration, the upper section extends upward from the lower section. In a second configuration, the upper section extends downward from a top of the lower section. In a third configuration, the upper section extends in a non-vertical direction from the top of the lower section. The flaps extend laterally from each end of the upper section. The flaps in the first configuration extend upward from a first vertical level defined by the top portion of the lower section, and in the second configuration extend downward from the first vertical level.

Abstract: A guard for and method of preventing household doors from slamming shut when excessive force is used while closing is disclosed. The guard includes a padded body and an attachment mechanism for hanging the guard from a door knob in a manner that allows the guard to swing freely with respect to the door knob. In some embodiments, the guard can include certain electronics to indicate and/or store “door slam events.

Abstract: A novel technique for the fabrication of a casket dome lid from, for example, Smooth-One-Side (“S1S”) hardboard is disclosed. The invention is also directed to the fabrication of a casket lid which has a domed configuration both in the lateral and longitudinal directions of the lid. The method comprises the steps of providing a lid blank having a first end, second end, and a central region; providing a pair of diagonal voids oriented at corners of the first end of said blank and extending inward toward the central region; placing the lid blank in a vacuum fixture; and flexing the lid blank into a domed configuration via the vacuum fixture, such that the blank is domed in both a longitudinal and a transverse direction.

Abstract: A furniture slide assembly, selectively attachable to a leg of an article of furniture, includes a slide body, intermediate and upper securement assemblies, and a plurality of elongated support rods extending therebetween and interconnecting them together. The slide body receives and supports the furniture leg at a first location on the leg and provides slidable contact on a support surface. The intermediate securement assembly, being an elongated strap with lugs and an aperture on its respective opposite end portions, detachably attaches about the furniture leg at a second location on the leg spaced above the first location. The upper securement assembly, being an elongated strap with loop and hook segments on its respective opposite end portions, detachably attaches about the furniture leg at a third location on the leg spaced above the second location.

The horizontal retaining member extends from the retaining bolt and is movable along the retaining bolt in a way that the horizontal retaining member is positionable between an open position, a first closed position wherein the horizontal retaining member is disposed in the first slot to retain an object having a first size in the object receiving space, and a second closed position wherein the horizontal retaining is disposed in the second slot to retain another object having a second size that is different from the first size in the object receiving space.

Abstract: A casket may include a casket shell, at least one casket cap pivotally mounted on the casket shell, a cap panel inserted in a cavity formed by a bottom surface of the at least one casket cap, a plurality of puffing members attached to the edges of the cap panel, and a cap panel shelf mounted on the bottom surface of the casket cap. The cap panel shelf may be mounted on the casket cap by using wooden dowels. The cap panel shelf may be mounted on the casket cap by using mounting brackets positioned in between a puffing member on the bottom edge of the cap panel and the cap panel. A hinged support may be fastened to the bottom surface of the cap panel shelf to retain the cap panel shelf at a desired position.
