Abstract: A case for video or audio cassettes composed of an upper housing part and a lower housing part that are foldably joined together by means of a hinge to completely enclose the cassette. At least one elastic element is installed between the upper part and the lower part in such a way that when a closure is disengaged the upper and lower parts are forced apart and the package swings open automatically. In particular, the cassette itself is located in a separate holder that is held between the upper part and the lower part in their common pivot axis, with the elastic elements then operating between this holder and the upper and lower parts. The effect of this is that when the closure, particularly a snap closure, is disengaged, not only do the upper and lower parts swing open automatically, but the holder with the cassette is brought into an angular position that roughly bisects the angle between the upper and lower parts when open. The cassette is thus easy to remove and to replace in the holder.
Abstract: The invention relates to a reel (1) comprising a core (2) and two flanges (3) holding elongated material (4), such as wire, ribbon-like material, etc. wound on the core (2) between the flanges (3) and whereby each flange (3) of the reel (1) is a substantially rectangular panel (3) (see FIG. 1). More in particular, the invention relates to a crate (10) containing one or more reels (1) and comprising at least four vertical walls, a base and a top, whereby the base and the top of crate (10) are symmetrical and have been provided with supporting elements (11) to accommodate the ends (6) of the flanges (3) of the reels (1) held in the crate (10).
Abstract: A capsule for dental amalgam comprises a reservoir portion which has an open end and which contains the silver or silver alloy powder component of the amalgam and a cap portion which has an open end which is meant for containing the liquid or mercury component of the amalgam. A preferably funnel-shaped partition is fixed to the cap portion for retaining the mercury component therein. An orifice is provided in the base of the funnel-shaped partition. The orifice is of a size to prevent leakage of the mercury when the capsule is exposed to accelerations which are below a threshold value and which are typical for storage and transport of the capsule. When the capsule is exposed to acceleration above this threshold value, for example, when the capsule is placed in an amalgamator for mixing the components with each other, the mercury is forced through the orifice and into the powder component.
