Abstract: A virtual file organization system, method and program product are disclosed. Included is a system that assigns classification tags to files stored within a storage system based on a natural language processing (NLP) context analysis of each file; and a virtual smart folder that is viewable within a user interface, wherein: opening the virtual smart folder causes a set of virtual subfolders to be displayed in which each virtual subfolder includes a category title; opening of a virtual subfolder causes a set of files residing at disparate locations in the storage system to be displayed; and the files displayed by opening the virtual subfolder each include an assigned classification tag that is associated with the category title of the virtual subfolder.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for providing knowledge panels with search results. In one aspect, a method includes obtaining search results that are responsive to a received query. A factual entity referenced by the query is identified. Content is identified for display in a knowledge panel for the factual entity. The content includes at least one content item obtained from a first resource and at least one second content item obtained from a second resource different than the first resource. Data is provided that causes the identified search results and the knowledge panel to be presented on a search results page. The knowledge panel presents the identified content in a knowledge panel area that is along side at least a portion of the search results.

Abstract: Technologies for management of data layers in a heterogeneous geographic information system (GIS) map are disclosed. A compute device may maintain a GIS database that includes geo-quads that represent physical locations of various scales. Data layers and layer tracks may be dynamically added to the GIS database at different scales, allowing for an extensible framework that enables a mechanism for integrating additional functionality. In the illustrative embodiment, a graph database is used to store the GIS database, allowing for a flexible structure. In some embodiments, entries in layer tracks may include binary large objects that may have properties and associated methods, allowing for application-specific functionality.

Abstract: The invention is directed to an image search device including a search condition input unit that receives a search condition for searching for an image, a query generation unit that generates a first query based on the search condition, an image search unit that searches for an image in a database based on the first query, a relevance estimation unit that estimates relevance between a plurality of images selected by a predetermined operation among images hit by a search, a query correction unit that generates a second query based on the relevance between the plurality of images, and a function of displaying the second query generated by the query correction unit on an interface.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for reserving a usable storage space on a storage device is provided. The method includes collecting context data representing an environment surrounding the storage device; selecting at least one file from among files stored in the storage device by using at least one of the context data and user profile data; and processing the selected file and reserving a usable storage space on the storage device. The method reserves the usable storage space by using the context data or user profile data, thereby allowing efficient reserving of usable storage space without a user's manual intervention and preventing waste of unnecessary resources.

Abstract: A system and method for targeted gaming news and media feeds is provided. Information about an interaction by a user with an interactive content title and a plurality of interactive content titles may be stored in memory. A processor executes instructions stored in memory, wherein execution of the instructions by the processor analyzes the information stored in memory regarding interaction by a user with an interactive content title and identifies one or more keywords that characterize the user interaction with the interactive content title. Media stored in a database may be filtered based on the identified keywords and displayed within a targeted media feed on a user device of the user. The displayed targeted media may be updated based on new information regarding user interaction with the interactive content title.

Abstract: A hashing scheme includes a cache-friendly, latchless, non-blocking dynamically resizable hash index with constant-time lookup operations that is also amenable to fast lookups via remote memory access. Specifically, the hashing scheme provides each of the following features: latchless reads, fine grained lightweight locks for writers, non-blocking dynamic resizability, cache-friendly access, constant-time lookup operations, amenable to remote memory access via RDMA protocol through one sided read operations, as well as non-RDMA access.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to a system, program product, and method for use with an intelligent computer platform to decipher analogical phrases. The method identifies A category is identified and a list of definitions is created for each parsed subcomponent of the phrase. The definitions are ranked in the list based on their relevance to the identified category and an outcome is identified based on the ranked relevance. A corpus is searched for evidence of an analogical pattern associated with the ranked list and each entry in the ranked list is scored based on congruence with the analogical pattern. An outcome is generated based on the scoring and is representative of the definition with the strongest congruence to the analogical pattern.

Abstract: A computer implemented and computer controlled method of arranging, in memory, data subsets retrieved from a single or from different data sources, and structured in accordance with a logical data model, for the processing of these data subsets by an action-based logical data model. The action-based logical data model comprises actions, data categories, including a subject data category, an object data category, a spatial data category and a temporal data category, action topology combinations, instance information supplemented to an action topology combination, and constructors. A constructor comprises a plurality of properties in accordance with a constructor topology combination. A property operates on action topology combinations matched to data subsets elements of data subsets in accordance with the action-based logical data model, for presenting structured relations between data subset elements of data subsets.

Abstract: A data processing method and device, where the method includes obtaining a usage frequency value of software, compressing a target file of the software to obtain a compressed file when the usage frequency value is less than a preset usage frequency value, receiving a startup instruction for starting the software, querying the compressed file of the software, and decompressing the compressed file using a high-priority process to obtain the target file, where the high-priority process is performed as an essential highest-priority process relative to another process, and starting the software based on the target file.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide techniques for automatically extracting data from web pages. Such extraction can take place without the use of a browser, and without necessarily rendering the entire web page. Thus, data extraction can be performed more efficiently and more quickly, while reducing the computing resources needed to perform such operations. In at least one embodiment, data extraction and translation are performed by automatically parsing structured data from visible and hidden elements of a web page.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for establishing communication channels related to assets. An embodiment enables users of home assets such as appliances to share content related to that asset through a centralized clearinghouse of asset content. Aggregated content reduces redundant searches across sources by many users looking for the same content. New data pathways from user to users, manufacturers, and various third parties are established through the connections created in relation to assets.

Abstract: A transaction request is received at a journal-based state management system. The transaction request includes a register processing section indicating an operation to be performed at a journal register allocated to the transaction submitter to store state information of an application. Based on the results of a conflict detection operation performed with respect to the transaction request and on the result of the operation on the journal register, the transaction request is accepted for commit. The value of the journal register is stored at a node of the state management system and provided to the transaction submitter.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for performing a database migration with reduced downtime. Embodiments provide for migrating a source database table at a source database system to a target database table at a target database system. The embodiments provide for configuring the source database system to log changes to the source database table to a log, wherein the log is configured to replay the changes to the target database table and creating a replacement view table at the target database system, wherein the replacement view table provides access to current data from the source database table and the target database table. This approach allows access to the current data as replication continues without the need to take down access to the database.

Abstract: According to one general aspect, a system may include a plurality of data nodes. Each data node may include either or both of a first storage medium and a second storage medium that is slower than the first storage medium. Each data node may be configured to store a piece data in either the first storage medium or the second storage medium. The system may be configured to store a plurality of copies of an active piece of data within two or more data nodes. A fast copy of the active piece of data may be stored by a first storage medium of a first data node. One or more slow copies of the active piece of data may be stored by respective second storage mediums of one or more respective other data nodes.

Abstract: A system can perform certain acts. The acts can include storing electronic receipts for a user in a database. The acts can further include receiving, from an electronic device of the user, product identification information. The acts can also include searching the electronic receipts to identify two or more of the electronic receipts listing a product referenced by the product identification information. Additionally, the acts can include facilitating a simultaneous display, on the electronic device of the user, of each respective electronic receipt of the two or more of the electronic receipts. The simultaneous display can include an overall view of the respective electronic receipt and an individual item view for the product listed in the respective electronic receipt.

Abstract: A search system processes queries for accessing information stored in documents. A document comprises fields. The search system stores a plurality of indexes in a key-value store. Each index comprises key-value pairs. A key of a key-value pair is obtained by combining field data describing a field of a document. The value of each field is stored as an individual key-value in the key-value store. The search system receives a query requesting information stored in documents and specifying a search criteria. The search system builds a key-expression based on the search criteria and uses one or more indexes to find key-value pairs matching the key-expression. The search system finds the requested information based on the matching key-value pairs and provides the requested information to the query source.

Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus for identifying and utilizing content synchronization information are described. Methods for creating and utilizing a synchronization file that can be used to notify users when synchronization availability exists, and to identify ways to repair synchronization unavailability are described. The synchronization file includes a complete set of individual content elements that make up a content item, such as a book, where each content element has an indication whether play-back of an audio version of the content item can be synchronized with the presentation of a corresponding text version of the content item. Methods, systems and apparatus are also disclosed for providing the synchronization availability information to the user in a manner that enables the user to increase the benefits of synchronized presentation of the content item.

Abstract: Provided are systems, methods, and computer-program products for a contextual connection system. In various implementations, the system can receive data corresponding to an interaction between a first node and a second node. The system can use an interaction history associate the first node with a subset of other nodes. The system can receive input corresponding to a search, where the search is associated with the third node. The search requests a list of nodes, where nodes in the list of nodes are likely to accept a connection request from the third node. The system can determine similarity between the third node and the second node. Determining the similarity can further include using the similarity and a result of searching to identify the context associated with the first node. The system can add the first node to the list of nodes, and respond to the search with the list of nodes.
