Abstract: A machine is disclosed for use building a road. The machine may include a vehicle, and a distribution arrangement mounted to the vehicle and configured to distribute a material on to a surface as the vehicle moves over the surface. The machine may also include at least one sensor mounted to the vehicle and configured to generate a signal indicative of a texture of the surface during movement of the vehicle over the surface, a locating device configured to detect a location of the texture, and a controller. The controller may be specially programmed to determine an amount of the material to be applied to the location of the texture based on the signal, and to automatically cause the distribution arrangement to distribute the amount of the material on to the surface at the location of the texture as the vehicle moves over the surface.

Abstract: A loading ramp assembly for utility vans can include a main deck with side rails fastened to the longitudinal sides of the main deck. A raised loading floor of the utility van is disposed atop a pair of guide rails. Guide wheels on the side rails move through guide rails secured to the van's original floor as the ramp is retracted and deployed. The ramp can be fully retracted and stored inside of the van such that the rear doors of the van can be closed normally without the need to remove the loading ramp assembly from the van.

Abstract: In a method for renovating a roadway, a first tack coat including a bitumen emulsion, a second coat of fibres and then a third surface coat that is a “clean” bitumen emulsion or includes an anhydrous asphalt binder, is spread by a spreading machine from bottom to top and overlaid on the milled or planed roadway. The fibres are sprayed onto the tack coat and the sprayed fibres having a maximum length of 12 cm, an asphalt mix being subsequently spread over the surface coat, the residual binder of the “clean” bitumen emulsion having a penetrability of less than 40 dmm and a ball-ring temperature greater than 50° C., the ‘clean’ bitumen emulsion including between 30% and 70% bitumen, between 30% and 70% water, and between 0.1% and 10% surfactants, stabilisers and/or additives, the percentages being by weight. The application also relates to a spreading machine.

Abstract: Provided is a fabricated rapid construction platform for a bridge, including a fixing frame, an upper-layer tubular pile position control structure, a lower-layer tubular pile position control structure, and a console, the fixing frame includes a bottom rail platform, supporting posts, a top operation platform, and several supporting legs; the upper-layer tubular pile position control structure and the lower-layer tubular pile position control structure are provided between the bottom rail platform and the top operation platform; the upper-layer tubular pile position control structure includes two sub-structures arranged symmetrically about the central axis of a second through hole, and each sub-structure includes a braking device, a vertical control arm, and a horizontal control arm. The lower-layer tubular pile position control structure includes an annular frame, a revolution driving device, and four lower control arms.

Abstract: An impact attenuator safety truck with a configurable flatbed capable of carrying a forklift. The safety truck provides a crash barrier for roadway construction projects using impact absorbing sections (TMAs) that are movable from a stowage position above the surface of the flatbed, thereby allowing the entire surface of the flatbed for storage. The forklift is secured to the flatbed when the impact absorbing sections are in the stowage position. When the impact absorbing sections are in a deployed position, the forklift can access the flatbed surface from either side. A pair of hydraulic cylinders in combination with pivot arms and a cradle allows rotating of the impact absorbing sections between the stowage position and deployed position.

Abstract: A transparent toilet brush container of three circles stacked one on the other. A crystal transparent handle, followed by a flat surface on the bottom of the handle that sits on top of the container. A button is attached to each side of the toilet brush stick for the user to press to eject the brush head. The soap/air freshener-like substance sits in the middle of the bristles on the toilet brush. Once the user inserts the brush head in water the dense substances produce soap.

Abstract: The padeye according to the invention acts as an eyelet where the mooring line connects to the anchor. The three padeye embodiments disclosed herein are well suited for use with any concrete anchors, and in particular with any concrete suction anchor. The solutions provide connection mechanisms to the mooring and modalities that engage the concrete in a manner that is structurally safe and reliable; the padeye solutions are inexpensive to manufacture, and easy to transport, install, maintain, and replace.

Abstract: A security device for reinforcing a structure such as a door against cutting or other forms of attack, comprises a hollow casing with an interior space, and first and second rod assemblies positioned in the interior space under compression. The first rod assembly comprises a first rod and a first spring, and the second rod assembly comprises a second rod and a second spring. The first and second rod assemblies are parallel, and the first and second springs do not overlap. The first and second rods only have point contact with the casing.

Abstract: A helideck safety net assembly that can be readily installed and removed includes a net, spreader bars adapted to pass through the cells at longitudinally opposing edges of the net and an edge line adapted to secure the net inside a perimeter frame by being wound generally helically in loops around the perimeter frame. The net is formed of lengths of line arrayed in the longitudinal direction alongside one another, and fastening means that join adjacent lengths pairwise at intervals to form cells of the net, wherein an end row of cells is formed at both longitudinally opposing edges of the net, and a longitudinal row of cells is formed at both longitudinal edges of the net.

Abstract: An intelligent roof drain system includes a roof drain surrounded by a drain plate. A water seepage detection module is disposed proximate the drain plate. The water seepage detection module includes water seepage detection sensors and circuitry and an antenna system to inductively receive power and communicate water seepage data. A roofing membrane is disposed over the water seepage detection module. A monitoring module that includes control circuitry, power supply circuitry, water level detection circuitry, communications interface circuitry, and an antenna system to inductively supply power to and communicate with the water seepage detection module is disposed proximate the water seepage detection module such that the antenna systems align. The intelligent roof drain system can detect water seepage under the roofing membrane and standing water proximate the roof drain and communicate such events to a gateway and/or building management system.

Abstract: The present invention is a door assembly including a rectangular door frame, a bi-fold door pivotally mounted at the top of the rectangular door frame and at least one hydraulic cylinder assembly. The hydraulic cylinder assembly is pivotally secured by a first end to a cylinder support mounted on a back side of the door frame, and by a second lower end to a cylinder support secured to a back surface of a top panel of the bi-fold door. In the door closed position, the longitudinal axis of the cylinder is oriented at an acute angle away from a plane defined by the door pivot axis and the lower pivot axis of the cylinder. A hydraulic control assembly controls movement of the door between an open and closed position.

Abstract: A universal receiver for transporting a watercraft may include a first knuckle receiver attachable to the watercraft, an adapter repositionable within the knuckle receiver, and a wheeled support leg. Typically, the adapter is detachable from the support leg and includes a ridge to mate with a corresponding channel and recessed cavity in the receiver. The result is a wheel assembly to repositionably secure the support leg between a first position and at least a second position that is generally angular offset from the first position, thereby securing the leg and preventing rotation about the watercraft.

Abstract: An object of the present disclosure is to provide a refrigerator configured to improve main body stiffness, which is decreased as thickness of an insulation material is reduced to increase inner capacity of the main body, using a reinforcement structure, resulting in reduction of deformation of the main body. Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a refrigerator in which an electronic box including various electronic constituent elements needed to control the operation of the refrigerator is disposed in a hinge cover provided in a forward direction of an upper part of the main body, resulting in improved space utilization (or space occupancy).

Abstract: A header includes a forwardly disposed cutter bar assembly and a rearwardly disposed draper deck assembly. The draper seal includes a flexible strip that runs parallel to the cutter bar assembly and perpendicular to the direction of travel. A bracket secures the forward edge of the flexible strip to an upper surface of the cutter bar assembly, which bracket also biases a rearward edge of the flexible strip into engagement with an upper surface of the draper deck assembly, thereby creating a seal between the cutter bar assembly and the draper deck assembly.

Abstract: In various embodiments, a tile system for mounting structures to a roof may comprise a base assembly, a fastener, a seal, a flashing, and a mounting bracket. The fastener may be installable on the base assembly. The seal may be installable on the fastener. The flashing may be configured to replace a roof tile. Moreover, a protrusion may be field formed in the flashing during installation of the tile system by driving the fastener through the flashing in response to the base assembly being positioned on the roof surface. The bracket may be installable on the fastener and configured to compress the flashing against the seal and the base assembly.
