Abstract: A portable canopy for use with a boat having a covered helm and at least two fishing rod holders mounted thereto. The portable canopy employs a first tubular shaped support member having a proximal end securable to a rod holder found on a fishing boat. A second tubular shaped support member having a proximal end is secured to a second rod holder, adjacent to, but spaced apart from, the first support member. The first and second support members are secured to the rod holders by use of locking pins. A spreader bar is attached to the distal end of each said support member, forming a rigid frame between the support members and the rod holders. A fabric cover extends between the support members, providing shade to the occupants beneath the canopy.

Abstract: An improved umbrella (10) comprising: a shaft (11); a plurality of ribs(13) spaced around the shaft (11) arranged to be capable of extending outwardly of the shaft (11) in a deployed condition; a canopy (12) supportable by the ribs (13); and a tensioner (19) comprising a filamentary material which extends around the perimeter of the umbrella (10), wherein the filamentary material (19) is arranged to tension the perimeter of the umbrella (10) and resist inversion of the umbrella (10) by pulling a distal end of each rib (13) towards the shaft (11) when in the deployed condition.

Abstract: A tree stand hunting blind is comprised of two sides connected by a lower center portion. The blind does not have a roof and does not have a complete front wall. This allows a user to stand up and shoot a firearm or bow in any direction, including directly under the blind or directly above the blind. The bottom platform of a tree stand and the bottom portion of the blind function as a “floor” that helps hide the user from game animals below the blind. The sides of the blind break up the user's silhouette and help hide the user and the tree stand from game animals that are not directly under the blind. Each side of the blind incorporates a window with a moveable shade mechanism that allows them to be fully or partially opened or closed as needed by the user.

Abstract: A removable floor for use with a portable shelter, the floor including a central section defining a ground engaging area and having at least one layer constructed of a non-permeable material, at least one side wall extending upward from and being connected to the central section at an edge of the ground engaging area and having an outward facing side wall fastener, and at least one initial locating fastener extending outward relative to the at least one side wall of the floor. The floor is usable in combination with a portable shelter having complementary fasteners for releasable connection of the floor to the shelter.

Abstract: An electronically powered, light emitting, portable mat with built in storage container is provided. The light is configured to provide illumination from the ground as well as a visual timing signal for exercise routines and enhanced experiences. The built in storage area also allows for the mat to be used as a backpack which can be unrolled into a floor mat. The light up mat may be particularly useful for exercising or camping in dark areas, as well as for mood lightning outdoors to illuminate the surrounding area.

Abstract: A removable insulated floor for use with a portable shelter, the floor including a central section defining a ground engaging area and having at least three layers, at least one side wall extending upward from and being connected to the central section at an edge of the ground engaging area and having an outward facing side wall fastener, the central section includes at least one opening, and a central section fastener is connected to an upper layer of the central section and is located proximate the at least one opening, and at least one patch having a patch fastener connected to a lower surface of the patch and being releasably connected to the central section fastener located proximate the at least one opening. The floor is usable in combination with a portable shelter having complementary fasteners for releasable connection of the floor to the shelter.

Abstract: Aspects are directed to a collapsible privacy structure that has a low profile when in an un-deployed state to preserve the sight lines of observers. The collapsible privacy structure may then be deployed causing a canopy structure to extend upwardly forming an internal volume that provides privacy and seclusion to the user of the structure. The internal volume may be used for a bathroom, a shower, a medical evaluation/treatment space, and/or a changing space. Upon the departure of the user from the internal volume, the collapsible privacy structure may return to the low-profile nature provided by the un-deployed state.

Abstract: A walker device for lifting and supporting a body of a person is provided. The walker device includes a structure having a first side member and a second side member, the first side member and the second side member are configured to be disposed on a vertical surface and extend upwards, and a top member coupling the first and second side member to one another at a top portion thereof, such that at least a bottom portion of the first side member is disposed at distance from a bottom portion of the second side member. The walker device further includes a lift coupled to the top portion and having a gripping member disposed between the first and second side members and configured to be displaced up and down by the lift.

Abstract: A tent is designed for use in the air, connected at its vertices to trees or the like. The tent is further designed with enough support from an independent support structure to create a shelter there-in while in the air or on the ground. Further, the tent is built atop a floating mat or base. In order to provide enough strength to the base that it can be used to float the entire tent or hold the tent airborne, straps extend from each vertex of the mat through a central portal and connect back to themselves. From these straps, loops are further created to attach the tent, by way of the loops, to trees while the entirety of the mat is buoyant enough to hold the tent and people there-in afloat.

Abstract: An umbrella is provided that has a support pole, a canopy frame, and a set up assembly. The canopy frame is coupled with the support pole. The set up assembly is coupled with the canopy frame. The set up assembly is configured to open the canopy frame. The set up assembly has an actuator handle, a recess disposed on or in the support pole, and a locking pin. The locking pin is coupled with the handle and is moveable by the handle along a first direction between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the locking pin is disposed in the recess. In the second position the locking pin is spaced away from the recess. Movement of the locking pin along the umbrella pole adjacent to the recess in a second direction transverse to the first direction moves the locking pin between the first position and the second position in the first direction without moving the actuator handle in the first direction.

Abstract: An umbrella system includes a support pole connected to a rotating tube positioned around a center tube that extends between the support pole and a center support that is connected to an umbrella frame. The rotating tube has one or more helical grooves therein that are engaged by teeth of a hub which is connected to the umbrella frame. As the rotating tube is rotated, the hub is driven along the length of the rotating tube thereby opening and closing the umbrella frame. In one arrangement system includes a motor housing assembly including a plurality of batteries and a motor that includes a driven gear that meshes with a stationary gear which causes rotation of the rotating tube. The system also includes a counterbalance assembly positioned within the rotating tube. The counterbalance assembly includes at least one spring positioned within the rotating tube that provides a counterbalance force.

Abstract: A shelter system is shown and described. A hub for a shelter system is shown and described. A frame for a shelter system is shown and described. In one embodiment, the shelter system includes a frame, a cover and a hub. The frame may be collapsible. The cover is configured to fit with the frame. The hub may include a receiver slot, a receiver sleeve and an attachment projection. The result is a shelter system with reduced set up time, effort and requirements and improved strength and ease of use. The inventions may also be considered a shelter kit and/or a shelter and hub method.

Abstract: Disclosed are tents and tent support frames. A tent support frame includes a rotatable connector and tent support poles. The rotatable connector includes first and second connectors configured to be coupled in a vertical direction with one above another, and rotatable with respect to each other. The first connector includes a first through-hole in a horizontal direction, and the second connector includes a second through-hole in the horizontal direction. Tent support poles include a first tent support pole configured to pass through the first through-hole of the first connector, and a second tent support pole configured to pass through the second through-hole of the second connector.

Abstract: Disclosed are eave structures and tent frames with integrated eave structures. A tent frame includes supporting poles, an upper frame coupled with the supporting poles, and two or more eave structures. An eave structure includes an eave pole, and a sleeve member disposed at a connector coupled with a supporting pole. The eave pole has a first end portion pivotally connected with an oblique pole of the upper frame, and a second end portion slidably coupled with the sleeve member. The eave structures can be folded and unfolded together with the supporting poles and the upper frame. When unfolded, the eave poles of the eave structures extend beyond the upper frame.

Abstract: A mosquito repellent and antibacterial tent includes a tent body, a first support bar and a second support bar. The tent body is formed by a base fabric entirely provided with a mosquito repellent agent and a waterproofing agent. An adhesive coating layer is provided on the base cloth. The tent body includes a plurality of first positioning parts. A side surface of the tent body has at least one opening. The first support bar and the second support bar are connected to the plurality of first positioning parts so as to be crossed to support the tent body. Thus, the mosquito repellent and antibacterial tent achieves mosquito repellent and antibacterial effects as well as being waterproof and sturdy.

Abstract: An automatic non-collapsible umbrella includes a handle, a control mechanism, a center post, a detent mechanism, a runner assembly, and a skeleton. A cylindrical main seat of the control mechanism includes a spring biased open button for opening the umbrella, and a spring biased collapse button adjacent to the collapse button for closing the umbrella.

Abstract: In one aspect of the present disclosure, an umbrella hub assembly comprises an a cylindrical portion and a socket coupled to the cylindrical portion. The socket can have a fixed end, a free end, and a cylindrical wall defining a concave space extending from the free end toward the fixed end. The socket can have an access aperture disposed through the cylindrical wall. The assembly can further include an umbrella rib comprising a first end, a second end, and an elongate body extending along a longitudinal axis. The first end can be configured to be received in the concave space through the free end such that the socket engages the umbrella rib and such that the first end is accessible through the access aperture.

Abstract: Disclosed are anti-stick zipper covers, stick-free zippers and tents. An anti-stick zipper cover includes a stiff plastic piece or a coating to increase the stiffness such that the anti-stick zipper cover will not be caught into the teeth of a zipper while zipping on and off the zipper. A tent includes a zipper to couple fabric pieces of the tent cloth and an anti-stick zipper cover to protect the zipper.

Abstract: Disclosed are handicap apparatus using (a) one or more resilient, snap-on bumper structures, (b) unique tips covers, (c) leg elevating units, (d) resilient structures having a density that provides a softer exterior and a harder interior. The handicap apparatus includes crutches, canes, wheelchairs, scooters, and walkers.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are generally related to a mobile shelter. In particular, several embodiments relate more particularly to a movable storage container configured for interconversion between various configurations. In several embodiments, the mobile shelter is configured as a shelter adequate for protection of its occupants against the elements. In several embodiments, the shelter optionally converts into a collapsed configuration suitable for transportation.
