  • Patent number: 10885339
Abstract: A head-mounted device includes a first image capturing device, a transparent display, and circuitry. The first image capturing device captures an image of a scene in a line-of-sight (LOS) of a wearer of the head-mounted device. The circuitry receives an audio segment that corresponds to audio content. The circuitry determines a level of each image characteristic of a background portion and a foreground portion of the captured image. The circuitry estimates a first region on a display portion of the transparent display for display of text information associated with the received audio segment. The circuitry determines a level of each display characteristic from a set of display characteristics for the text information based on the estimated first region and the determined level of each image characteristic. The circuitry controls the display of the text information in the estimated first region of the display portion of the transparent display.

  • Patent number: 10762680
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for generating deterministic enhanced digital images based on parallel determinations of pixel group offsets arranged in pixel waves. For example, the disclosed systems can utilize a parallel wave analysis to propagate through pixel groups in a pixel wave of a target region within a digital image to determine matching patch offsets for the pixel groups. The disclosed systems can further utilize the matching patch offsets to generate a deterministic enhanced digital image by filling or replacing pixels of the target region with matching pixels indicated by the matching patch offsets.

  • Patent number: 10728492
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide for technology that determines a frame rate of video content, sets a blend amount parameter based on the frame rate, and temporally anti-aliases the video content based on the blend amount parameter. Additionally, the technology may detect a coarse pixel (CP) shading condition with respect to one or more frames in the video content and select, in response to the CP shading condition, a per frame jitter pattern that jitters across pixels, wherein the video content is temporally anti-aliased based on the per frame jitter pattern. The CP shading condition may also cause the technology to apply a gradient to a plurality of color planes on a per color plane basis and discard pixel level samples associated with a CP if all mip data corresponding to the CP is transparent or shadowed out.

  • Patent number: 10665007
Abstract: For interactive rendering in medical imaging, physically-based volume rendering of a volume of a patient may better assist physicians in diagnosis, prognosis, and/or planning. To provide for more rapid interaction, direct volume rendering is used during interaction. The rendering then transitions to physically-based rendering when there is no interaction. For smoothing the transition and/or preserving cohesive perceptual details, images from the different types of rendering may be blended in the transition and/or during interaction.
