Abstract: An online system displays search results in response to a query by receiving a query from a customer. An online system accesses a set of candidate items and computes a relevance score and personalization score for each item. The online system computes the relevance score based on query data and item data and may normalize the relevance score. The online system computes the personalization score based on item data, such as an item embedding, and user data, such as a user embedding. The online system computes a query specificity score and adjusts the personalization score with the query specificity score such that generic queries have high personalization scores and specific queries have low personalization scores. The online system combines the relevance and personalization scores for each candidate item into a ranking score and displays the candidate items to the customer based on their ranking scores.

Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating the provision of goods using automated stores are provided. The automated stores are distributed across a geographical area and are remotely controlled to create an on-line marketplace. Users of the system can access the marketplace using an interactive portal to purchase items. Buyers can create purchase orders for items stocked in the marketplace and collect the items at one or more automated stores. The items are consigned to the buyers in real time at the automated store.

Abstract: Techniques for mapping size information associated with a client to target brands, garments, sizes, shapes, and styles for which there is no standardized correlation. The size information associated with a client may be generated by modeling client garments, accessing computer aided drawing (CAD) files associated with client garments, or by analyzing a history of garment purchases associated with the client. Information for target garments may be generated in a similar fashion. A system may then create a standardized scale with a set of sizes for a target, and map a client base size to that standardized size scale. Similar matching and mapping may also be done with shape and style considerations. A recommendation based on the mapping may then be communicated to the client.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to content prediction. A computing platform may train a collaborative recommendation engine to output recommendation information based on historical preference information and corresponding data drift. The computing platform may receive an account access request from a user device. The computing platform may identify, at a first time and using the collaborative recommendation engine, a preference group for the user device. The computing platform may receive, at a second time later than the first time, a second account access request from the user device. The computing platform may identify, using the collaborative recommendation engine, the preference group and data drift corresponding to the preference group between the first time and the second time, which may indicate a second set of preferences at the second time. The computing platform may generate, based on the second set of preferences, recommendation information for the user device.

Abstract: A system comprising one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computing instructions that, when executed on the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising: training a visual similarity model to output one or more vector representations in a vector space; determining one or more nearest neighbors based on embeddings nearest to a respective embedding in the vector space for the item; ranking the one or more nearest neighbors for the item in an order; re-ranking the order of the one or more nearest neighbors of the item into a re-ranked order; inserting, into a display of the item, the one or more nearest neighbors of the item; and facilitating altering a graphical user interface (GUI) to convey the display of the item. In some embodiments, there is provided a system including: an electronic interface configured to receive an order corresponding to a customer; a control circuit configured to: determine the location of the customer; determine shopping facilities near the customer's location; determine time intervals when the order will be available for pick up at each of the shopping facilities; transmit a visual representation indicating the time intervals of availability at the shopping facilities; and a shopping facility where the order is made available for pick up by the customer during one of the time intervals.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for utilizing interactive UI dialogs to resolve issues that may arise during the real-time ordering and activation of wireless products and services while a user is engaged during their session. The interactive UI dialogs may provide a customer with an opportunity to provide information, make decisions or trigger additional steps during the real time order.

Abstract: A system and method for dynamic pricing of food items that are configured to apply one or more algorithms to prepare adjustments in the food item ingredient composition (e.g., the recipe of a food item) to accommodate a desired price, caloric content, dietary restriction requirement, and/or nutritional value. The system will process the customer-user's inputs of a modification of the ingredients for the food item. System processes for recipe modifications can be made in real-time, and may be locally processed or remotely processed, e.g., via access to a network server. Optionally, some or all of the system processes for recipe modifications may be preprocessed and stored in a system-accessible database. In some embodiments, a custom designed secure hardware component is deployed in the system in order to protect confidential pricing data, and gives a tool for managing the dynamic sales for a food retail establishment.

Abstract: Different action user-interface components in a comparison view are described. Initially, a selection is received to display a comparison view via a user interface of a listing platform. Multiple listings of the listing platform are selected for inclusion in the comparison view. A comparison view system determines which action of a plurality of actions, used by the listing platform, to associate with each of the listings. A display device displays the multiple listings concurrently in a comparison view via a user interface of the listing platform and also displays an action user-interface component (e.g., a button) in each of the plurality of listings. The action user-interface component is selectable to initiate the action associated with the respective listing. In accordance with the described techniques, the action user-interface component displayed in at least two of the multiple listings is selectable to initiate different actions in relation to the respective listing.

Abstract: The following relates generally to light detection and ranging (LIDAR) and artificial intelligence (AI). In some embodiments, a system: receives light detection and ranging (LIDAR) data generated from a LIDAR camera via wireless communication or data transmission over one or more radio frequency links, the LIDAR data associated with a store or a store layout; generates a LIDAR-based virtual map of the store from processor analysis of the LIDAR data; determines locations of individual goods in the store; overlays the locations of the individual goods onto the LIDAR-based virtual map; and generates an updated LIDAR-based virtual map of the store displaying aisles of the store and the overlaid locations of the individual goods within the store.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for a method of evaluating specialty goods. The method receives data representing a graph specifying relationships between producers and institutions. Based on the relationships specified in the graph and a first set of weights, the method determines a convolution value for a producer such that the convolution value inherits attributes of institutions for which the producer has a relationship. The method receives data describing a specialty good from a producer and inputs the convolution value and the data describing the specialty good into a machine learning module with a second set of weights. The first set of weights and the second set of weights are trained from known evaluations of specialty goods of the producer. From the machine learning module, the method receives a value of the specialty good.

Abstract: Techniques for providing a seamless user experience across electronic and physical retail stores of a retailer include storing, locally with a session corresponding to a user's visit to the retailer's electronic store, indications of items that were viewed and/or focused on by the user at the electronic store. At least some of said indications may be transferred to a centralized data storage of the retailer for persistence after the session is terminated. Subsequently, an electronic device operated by the user may determine its location and determine, based on its location, a particular physical retail store of the retailer. Via communications with one or more retailer servers, items that were recently viewed by the user at the electronic store may be identified, and indications thereof may be presented on the display of the electronic device in conjunction with information corresponding to the recently viewed items at the particular physical store.

Abstract: A system includes location indicators, a central computing system, and a mobile scanning device. The location indicators transmit location signals and are arranged in a store that includes stocked items. The central computing system stores an item association table that maps location values to the stocked items. The location values indicate locations of the stocked items in the store. The mobile scanning device receives ordered items from the central computing system, detects location signal(s), and determines a first location value based on the detected location signal(s). The mobile scanning device arranges the ordered items on a display based on the first location value, scans a first ordered item, and transmits data to the central computing system indicating that the first ordered item is associated with the first location value. The central computing system updates the item association table based on the data.
