Abstract: A method is disclosed for receiving a plurality of play events associated with a sporting event, wherein each play event of the plurality of play events comprises a timestamp; for each of the play events, associating the play event with a sports team of a plurality of sports teams; for each of the play events, associating with the play event a particular icon from among a plurality of different icons based, at least in part, on the sports team that is associated with the play event; causing to display a bar in a graphical user interface of a mobile computing device, wherein the bar represents at least a portion of a time duration of the sporting event; for each of the play events, causing to display the particular icon at a position in the bar, wherein the position is based, at least in part, on the timestamp of the event.

Abstract: An operating sequence for a handheld computing device manages the device to automatically detect cues describing the device's environmental and user actions performed with the device, learn which cues and cue combinations are relevant to predict user actions, and then in response to occurrence of the relevant cues, predictively implementing the appropriate user action or configuring the device in anticipation of user action.

Abstract: A three-dimensional display presents a plurality of icons that are associated with a user interface of an electronic device. The plurality of icons include at least a first icon presented at a first depth of presentation and a second icon presented at a second, different depth of presentation. The first icon is associated with a first input component of the user interface, such that the first input component provides for interaction with the first icon. The second icon is associated with a second input component of the user interface, such that the second input component provides for interaction with the second icon. The aforementioned depths of presentation may substantially coincide with various surfaces of the electronic device (such as a first touch-sensitive surface and a second touch-sensitive surface). This approach can serve to facilitate three-dimensional presentation of icons for interaction by touch-sensitive surfaces on the front and back of the electronic device.

Abstract: A presenter device transmits, to an attendee device participating in an online desktop sharing session, image data of a plurality of windows. The plurality of windows comprises a foreground window obscuring at least a portion of at least one background window. The presenter device captures image data of at least one background window including the obscured portion of the background window without altering the display of the presenter device. A request is received from the attendee device for image data of at least one background window to display the background window over the foreground window on a display of the attendee device. In response to receiving the request, the presenter device transmits the captured image data of the background window, including any obscured portion, to the attendee device.

Abstract: Techniques for presenting information on a mobile communication device to an employee of an organization include receiving an indication to present information associated with an organization to an employee of the organization; in response to receiving the indication, determining a current geographic location of the employee; identifying a facility of a plurality of facilities associated with the organization based on the determined current geographic location of the employee; retrieving information associated with the identified facility from a local memory of the mobile communication device; and presenting the retrieved information to the employee.

Abstract: Various embodiments enable a user to use their browser to selectively delete items that are not of interest to them. In at least some embodiments, a user's interest in a particular item is implied by some action a user has taken with respect to the particular item. Responsive to this implied interest, various delete operations that can be performed relative to the items are performed so as to exclude items in which a user has some implied interest. In one or more embodiments, items that appear on a user-specified list, such as a favorites or a bookmarked list, are not deleted when a delete operation is performed relative to items to which a user browses. In at least some embodiments, a user interface is provided and enables a user to select classes of items that are to be retained when delete operations are performed.

Abstract: A three-dimensional display presents a plurality of icons that are associated with a user interface. These icons include at least a first icon presented at a first depth of presentation and at least a second icon presented at a second, different depth of presentation. By one approach this first icon is available for interaction by an input component of the user interface while the second icon is unavailable for interaction by the input component of the user interface. The aforementioned first depth of presentation may be substantially coincide with a surface, for example, a touch-sensitive display, of the corresponding electronic device. So configured, the first icon (which is presently available for selection) appears at a depth that coincides with that surface. This approach can serve to facilitate three-dimensional presentation of an icon based on whether it is available for interaction via an input component of a user interface.

The method also includes determining whether a notification definition is satisfied, the notification definition based at least in part on the information associated with the shared workspace, and outputting, for display to at least one user from the plurality of users, a notification, in response to determining that the notification definition is satisfied.

Abstract: A request is received at a proxy server for a web page, the request originating from a client network application of a client device. The requested web page includes multiple references to multiple images. The proxy server retrieves the requested web page. The proxy server modifies code of the retrieved web page such that the client network application will not, for each one of images, request that image until the location where that image is to be displayed is within a viewport of the client network application or within a defined distance from the viewport of the client network application. The proxy server transmits the modified web page to the client device.

Abstract: A device, method and system of displaying a file on a mobile communication device may comprise duplicating at least a leftmost part of a file to obtain a duplicated leftmost part of the file, and displaying a frame through moving a display window along the frame, the frame comprising a rightmost part of the file and the duplicated leftmost part of the file, wherein the duplicated leftmost part of the file is placed on right of the rightmost part of the file. In some embodiments, the mobile communication device may control the display window to automatically move to a leftmost side of the frame, if the display window moves to a rightmost side of the frame, and further in response to a user instruction of continuing viewing the file.

Abstract: A portal summary controller stores detected usage of at least one instance of at least one portlet application within at least one portal page at each of a plurality of different times. Responsive to a trigger to generate a summary portal page, the portal summary controller dynamically creates a summary portal page displaying a separate instance of the at least one portlet application for at least one of each of the plurality of different times specified according to the separate usage stored at each of the plurality of different times, such that the summary portal page provides a summary of at least a selection of previous usage of the at least one portal page. The trigger to generate a summary portal page includes a user selecting which previous stored portal usage, including usage of individual portlet applications, to summarize in the summary portal page, such that the summary portal page renders a summary of only that content selected by the user.

The computer system identifies an activity of a second program. The computer system determines whether the activity of the second program meets a threshold of priority. In response to determining that the activity meets the threshold, the computer system manipulates the first window such that the display area can be distributed, at least partially, between the first window and a second window corresponding to the activity of the second program. The computer system displays the second window with the first window within the display area.

The end-user device provides an indication of selection of at least a portion of the either the information regarding end-user dictated content for a plurality of technical support topics or the information regarding available automated technical support. By providing such information prior to receiving any indication of the specific technical support required by the end-user, the likelihood that the end-user can successfully resolve his/her issue without further intervention is increased.

Abstract: Various aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and machine-readable media for prioritizing content items based on a request frequency for a user. A system is configured to receive a request for a user interface containing content items for a user, retrieve, in response to the request for the user interface containing content items for the user, a set of content items for the user, and calculate a request frequency score for the user based on a frequency of user requests for the user interface containing content items for the user. The system may further be configured to adjust a priority score for each content item in the set of content items based on the request frequency score for the user and provide the set of content items for display to the user based on the priority score for each content item.

Abstract: This disclosure discloses a method and device for managing a user interface. The user interface can display one of a multiple of layers, which may share one or more same icons of available application programs. Users can change the layer being displayed on the user interface through performing a simple touch gesture on the touch screen, thereby quickly finding out a set of application programs needed to use currently. Thus, users' operations are simplified.
