Abstract: The state of a trade order may be defined and/or maintained in response to user action at a trading device. A trading device may receive a user action on a graphical user interface (GUI). The user action may cause the submission of the trade order to the electronic exchange. The trading device may receive a user action on the GUI to define an active order state. The trading device may maintain the order state until receiving an identified user action on the GUI to change the order state to inactive, which may cause the trade order to be canceled or held at the electronic exchange. The user action causing the change in the order state may be an active use action, such as a selection, or a passive user action, such as a failure to perform a selection. Such user action may encourage user attention when managing trade orders.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to using a near-filed communication (NFC) contactless card to perform one or more transactions within a vehicle. For example, a user may load value (money, funds, digital currency, etc.) onto an in-vehicle device (transponder, badge, card, etc.) by performing one-tap authentication or one-tap payment, or both, via the contactless card. Thus, even under time-constrained circumstances, payment may be loaded to the in-vehicle device in a quick, efficient, and safe manner.

Abstract: Computer-implemented systems, methods and articles for generating an error report listing errors identified in the computerized preparation of a payroll tax form. The system includes a computing device, a data store, and a payroll tax form software application executable by the computing device. The payroll tax form software includes a payroll calculation engine, an error check engine, and one or more error graph(s). Each error graph includes a plurality of interconnected nodes configured to utilize tax data and calculated payroll data to identify errors. The calculation engine is configured to read tax data from the shared data store, perform payroll calculation operations, and write calculated payroll data to the shared data store. The error check engine is configured to read the tax data and payroll data and process the error graph(s) to identify errors and generate an error report listing the errors and/or explanations of the errors.

Abstract: A method for securing smart contracts in a blockchain includes receiving in the blockchain a contract creation transaction having a control flow graph (CFG) and contract code for a smart contract to be created. The contract creation transaction is verified by checking a signature of a creator of the smart contract and determining that the CFG is correct based on the contract code. The verified contract creation transaction is included as a block in a distributed ledger of the blockchain.

An authentication component of the server device generates an electronic message that indicates that the user must authenticate the request such that the request may be processed and initiates a transmittal of the electronic message to the user's smartphone. The user may accept or authenticate the request to process the request.
