Abstract: Systems and methods for intensive recirculating aquaculture are provided herein. An example system includes water sourced from a first segment of a saline aquifer, a recirculating aquaculture system receiving the sourced water and producing discharge water, and a water discharge point located within a second segment of the saline aquifer disposed below the first segment of the saline aquifer.

Abstract: A pet flush toilet having a bowl with a drain opening in a rear end of the bowl near a bottom of the bowl, a flushing opening in a side of the bowl, and a pet entrance opening in a front end of the bowl. A flushing hose is inserted into the flushing opening and a vacuum input pipe is inserted into the drain opening. The pet flush toilet has a water pump and a vacuum pump. The flushing hose is connected to the output of the water pump and the vacuum input pipe is connected to the input of the vacuum pump. A water source is connected to the input of the water pump. The water pump and the vacuum pump turn on automatically and simultaneously to flush and clean the bottom of the pet flush toilet when a motion sensor detects a pet leaving the pet flush toilet.

Abstract: A system for transferring marine life within an aquaculture facility including a plurality of segregated storage facilities each containing water for marine life, maintained within a predetermined temperature range and supported at independent ground levels. The storage facilities are successively disposed and structured to contain marine life at different stages of growth. A transfer assembly includes a path of fluid flow interconnecting successive ones of said plurality of storage facilities in fluid communication with one another, wherein at least a majority of a length of said path of fluid flow is disposed beneath the independent ground levels at a predetermined depth, which is sufficient to facilitate maintenance of the path of fluid flow within the predetermined temperature range, via geothermal cooling. The transfer assembly may also connect a holding facility, which may be dimensioned and structured to transfer mature marine life, possibly on an on-demand basis, to the harvesting facility.

Abstract: Implemented is an animal feces collection device that includes a wearable housing configured to be worn by an animal and a retainer ring that is removably connected to the wearable housing. The retainer ring includes at least one bag clamp configured to retain a bag and hold the bag in an open position. Upon the animal using the bathroom, and depositing feces within the bag, the wearable housing is configured to disconnect the retainer ring and bag with feces therein such that the retainer ring and bag with feces fall to the ground away from the animal.

Abstract: The animal litter sifter comprising, a sifter receptacle having an internal chamber with an opening, and having a top edge, a sifter frame sized to rest on the top edge of the sifter receptacle, wherein the sifter receptacle having an opening substantially aligned with the sifter receptacle opening, and a sifter basket having a plurality of side walls converging towards a bottom extending into the sifter receptacle and secured to the sifter frame, wherein at least one sidewall having an impermeable and the remaining sidewalls having a plurality of passages therethrough.

Abstract: A foldable litter box and a litter box with a variable volume are provided. The foldable litter box includes a bottom plate and a several side plates integrally formed with the bottom plate, the side plates can be bended relative to the bottom plate to enclose a housing cavity. The side plates includes a front baffle and a rear baffle, as well as a left baffle and right baffle. The foldable litter box also includes connection plates integrally formed with the front baffle and the rear baffle, and the connection plates can be bent and connected to the left baffle and the right baffle respectively. The litter box can be quickly transformed into a pet litterbox with different volume from a flat state to different folded states, and the litter box can be quickly returned to the flat state when not in use, thus reducing space occupation.

Each leg is movable between a collapsed position and an expanded position with respect to the base. The collapsed position may correspond to a transport condition of the apparatus and the expanded position may correspond to a deployed condition of the apparatus. The base may include a plurality of mounting structures with each mounting structure being associated with a leg for mounting the leg to the base. The mounting structures may secure the legs to the base in the collapsed position of the transport condition and the expanded position of the deployed condition.

Abstract: An arrangement for measuring the body temperature of a bird comprises: (a) an enclosure having at least one aperture configured for receiving a bird's head thereinto at least in a partial manner; (b) at least one receptacle mounted within the enclosure; at least one receptacle accommodating an attractor; (c) at least one remote sensing instrument configured for acquire thermal reading and calculating bird's temperatures. The remote sensor instrument and the receptacle accommodating the attractor are mutually disposed such that at least the bird's head is within a field of view of the remote sensor instrument.

Abstract: A wheelchair for quadrupedal animals enables a limb-disabled four-legged animal, with its trunk cradled in the wheelchair's harness, not only to ambulate on its own, but also, upon halting its wheelchair-assisted ambulation, to transition into sitting and prone positions, and from either of those positions, to transition back into a standing position to again ambulate on its own, independently, without need for human manual assistance. The quadrupedal animal wheelchair includes: a quadruped-supporting main frame; the trunk-cradling harness; at least a pair of wheel stays carrying wheels; a control unit; a wheel-state sensor; and drive mechanisms for altering the position of the wheels in the wheel stays. Analyzing wheel state input from the sensor, the control unit determines wheel position, and commands the drive mechanisms to alter the wheel positions so as to transition the wheelchair into and back from positions allowing the animal to sit, lie prone, or stand.

Abstract: A birdfeeder apparatus for preventing large birds from accessing birdseed includes a housing which is configured for holding and dispensing birdseed. The housing includes a bird support configured to support desired birds. A plurality of guards is coupled to and extend outwardly away from the housing. A spacing between adjacent pairs of the plurality of guards has a size configured to obstruct undesired birds larger than the desired birds from landing on the bird support.

Abstract: A restraint device for assisting hearing in an animal includes a first strap configured to encircle a thorax area of the animal and a bone conduction device for producing vibration near a bone in the thorax area of the animal. The bone conduction device includes a bone conduction transducer configured to generate vibrations in a frequency range perceivable by the animal, a processor configured to control the generation of vibrations by said bone conduction transducer, and a microphone configured to pick up ambient sounds and convert the picked up ambient sounds to electrical signals. The processor controls the bone conduction transducer to generate vibrations in a frequency range corresponding to the picked up ambient sounds.

Abstract: Disclosed is a PCB wiring heating type mosquito repellent device, which integrates two functions of ultrasonic mosquito repelling and mosquito repelling with an electric mosquito repellent mat. Meantime, the mosquito repellent device is provided with a plurality of heating sheets which may work independently. One side of a PCB heating panel is provided with a plurality of heating areas, and each heating area corresponds to one of the heating sheets. One side face of the heating sheet is connected with the heating area, and the other side face of the heating sheet is connected with the electric mosquito repellent mat. A heating wire is evenly laid in each heating area, and the heating wires in adjacent heating areas are connected in parallel and may supply power and heat independently.
