Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes forward viewing camera and a rear camera each having a respective field of view exterior of the vehicle. Each of the cameras has an LVDS chip and connects with a control via a respective mono coaxial cable. Each mono coaxial cable carries via LVDS image data captured by the respective camera. Image data captured by the forward viewing camera and carried to the control by the respective mono coaxial cable is processed at the control for object detection. The control generates an output provided to a video display device of the vehicle, the video display device having a video display screen viewable by a driver of the vehicle. The video display screen displays video images of an area rearward of the vehicle derived from image data captured by the rear camera and carried to the control by the respective mono coaxial cable.

  • Patent number: 11128865
Abstract: Wedgelet-based coding for coding blocks of varying size is rendered more efficient by the usage of a variable length coded syntax element having a prefix and a suffix, wherein the size of the suffix is dependent on the prefix and the size of the current coding block. By this measure, it is feasible to efficiently adapt the length of the variable-length coded syntax element which controls the bi-partitioning of the current coding block to the actual needs, namely the size, of the current coding block, and the variability of the bi-partitioning by varying the wedglet separation line, respectively. The greater the current coding block is, the longer the variable-length coded syntax element may be. This length dependency may even be sufficiently effective in terms of coding efficiency so that the variable length coded syntax element may be coded without context-adaptive entropy coding, but directly or using fixed-equal-probability binary entropy coding.

  • Patent number: 11109018
Abstract: A method of correcting misalignment of a vehicular camera includes disposing a camera at a vehicle at a vehicle assembly plant and calibrating the camera at the vehicle while the vehicle is at the vehicle assembly plant. Frames of image data are captured with the camera as the vehicle is driven along an arbitrary path along a road, and the captured frames of image data are processed by a processor. As the vehicle is driven along the arbitrary path, at least one feature present in the frames of captured image data is determined and tracked to determine misalignment of the camera. The determined camera misalignment is corrected (i) without use of a target in the field of view of the camera and (ii) without processing of frames of image data captured by the camera that are representative of a target in the field of view of the camera.

  • Patent number: 11012686
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video encoding/decoding. An apparatus for video decoding includes processing circuitry that decodes prediction information for a current block in a current coded picture. The prediction information indicates an intra block copy (IBC) prediction mode used for the current block, an index to select a block vector predictor candidate from a block vector predictor candidate list for the current block, and whether a non-zero residue exists for the current block. The processing circuitry constructs the block vector predictor candidate list for the current block in a same sequence of candidates, no matter whether the no-zero residue exists for the current block. The processing circuitry selects a block vector predictor candidate from the constructed block vector predictor candidate list based on the index indicated in the prediction information and reconstructs the current block according to the selected block vector predictor candidate.
