  • Patent number: 10280663
Abstract: An exemplary assembly includes a cylinder, a piston, and a lock. The lock is transitionable between an unlocked position that permits extension and retraction of the piston relative to the cylinder, and a locked position that limits retraction of the piston relative to the cylinder. The lock is blocked from transitioning from the locked to the unlocked position when a load supported by the piston exceeds a threshold load. An exemplary method includes transitioning a lock from an unlocked to a locked position. The lock in the unlocked position permits extension and retraction of a piston relative to a cylinder. The lock in the locked position limits retraction of the piston relative to the cylinder. The method further includes holding the lock in the locked position using a load supported by the piston that exceeds a threshold load.

  • Patent number: 10282255
Abstract: A synchronization engine detects a notification of a change to a file. It determines whether an application associated with the file has indicated that the file is to be synchronized by the application. If so, the changes to the file are synchronized between a cloud-based storage system and a local disk by the application. Collaborative metadata, associated with the synchronized file, is updated to indicate a state of a copy of the file on the local disk and a copy of the file in the cloud-based storage system. The collaborative metadata is stored by the synchronization engine.

  • Patent number: 10283227
Abstract: A system usable in a nuclear environment provides a reservoir of liquefied breathable gas in fluid communication with a deployment system. The deployment system uses a stream of the breathable gas from the reservoir to operate a gas turbine which runs an electrical generator that is mechanically connected therewith to generate electrical power that is stored in a battery bank. The stream of breathable gas then flows from the turbine and is split between a heat exchanger that is situated in heat exchange relation with the interior region of the main control room and an outlet that provides breathable gas to the control room. The portion of the stream that flows through the heat exchanger cools the main control room. The other portion of the stream that provides breathable gas to the main control room also recirculates the atmosphere in the control room.

  • Patent number: 10284690
Abstract: A method for parsing network packets via one or more clusters configured to parse network packets comprises receiving one or more packets to be parsed; determining a candidate cluster of the one or more clusters for parsing the one or more packets; transmitting the one or more packets to the candidate cluster; launching the candidate cluster to parse the one or more packets when a launch condition is met; and receiving parse results for the one or more packets from the candidate cluster. The launch condition may be met after transmitting the one or more packets meets a fraction of a parsing capacity of the candidate cluster. The fraction may be one such that the transmitting the one or more packets meets a parsing capacity of the candidate cluster. The launch condition may also be met when a time elapsed since a previous cluster was launched reaches a delay limit.

  • Patent number: 10282721
Abstract: A system for verifying a price associated with an item in a retail environment includes a price tag having an optical member that includes an optical characteristic that modifies an amount of optical energy that leaves the optical member relative to an amount of optical energy received by the optical member, and a price tag holder including an optical sensor having an emitter and a detector. The emitter is positioned to emit optical energy onto the optical member and the detector is positioned to receive optical energy leaving the optical member. A computing device in operable communication with the optical sensor is operative to determine whether the price tag is accurate based upon a comparison between the amount of optical energy received by the detector and the amount of optical energy emitted by the emitter.
