Abstract: A method for forming a conductive metal-polymer composite coated polymer includes providing a polymer substrate and immersing the polymer substrate in a metal solution. The method further includes decomposing the metal solution in a thermally controlled environment and reducing the metal solution to metal such that the metal is deposited on a surface of the polymer substrate. After reducing the metal solution, the method includes treating the surface with a polymer coating to form the metal-polymer composite coated polymer.

An elongated main body has preferably three circumferentially spaced pockets. A roller assembly is preferably disposed in each pockets, the roller rotating in roller blocks at each end of the roller disposed within the roller blocks. Mating locking profiles, such as dovetails, lock the roller blocks within the pockets, as the roller blocks are moved longitudinally into the locking profiles, preventing any radially outward movement of the roller assembly. The roller assembly is prevented from longitudinal movement within the pockets by lock blocks also positioned within the pockets.

A transportation vehicle includes a processor or computing device that can determine and change operational states of the transportation vehicle. The transportation vehicle communicates the operational states to one or more devices. The operational states can be communicated as vehicle datasets using a communication port of the transportation vehicle. The network system and client devices can act to enhance transport service using vehicle datasets. For example, the network system can select a particular service provider to provide transport service to a service requestor based on the vehicle dataset for the transportation vehicle operated by the particular service provider. Transport service can also be enhanced at various points during the transport service coordination using other methods.

Abstract: Techniques for identifying missing evidence are provided. A plurality of documents, each comprising digitally encoded natural language text data, is received. The plurality of documents is processed to determine a plurality of pair-wise comparisons between a plurality of therapies, where each of the plurality of pair-wise comparisons indicate a relative efficacy of at least one therapy in the plurality of therapies, as compared to at least one other therapy in the plurality of therapies. A knowledge graph is generated based at least in part on aggregating the plurality of pair-wise comparisons, and the knowledge graph is analyzed to identify one or more knowledge gaps within the knowledge graph. Finally, at least an indication of the identified one or more knowledge gaps is output.

Abstract: An edge-lit lighting fixture includes a light emitting panel (LEP) and a light emitting diode (LED) light source that is positioned proximal to a perimeter edge of the LEP and configured to emit a light into the LEP through the perimeter edge. At least a portion of the light is emitted through the broad surface of the LEP as an illumination light to illuminate an area. The edge-lit lighting fixture further includes a sensor positioned at a broad surface of the LEP to detect ambient light in the area. The LED light source is powered on based on the light sensor. The edge-lit lighting fixture also includes a sensor shield positioned around a portion of the sensor to block the illumination light from directly reaching the sensor.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for image signal processing. For example, methods may include determining a sequence of orientation estimates based on sensor data from one or more motion sensors; based on the sequence of orientation estimates, invoking a mechanical stabilization system to reject motions of an image sensor occurring within a first operating bandwidth with an upper cutoff frequency; receiving an image from the image sensor; based on the sequence of orientation estimates, invoking an electronic image stabilization module to correct the image for rotations of the image sensor occurring within a second operating bandwidth with a lower cutoff frequency to obtain a stabilized image, wherein the lower cutoff frequency is greater than the upper cutoff frequency; and storing, displaying, or transmitting an output image based on the stabilized image.

Abstract: In one aspect, the invention provides a method of detecting cerebral palsy in a subject. The method includes: determining a methylation state for each of a plurality of cytosine-guanine dinucleotide (CpG) sites in a sample obtained from the subject, calculating a differential methylation level based on the methylation states of the plurality of CpG sites, and comparing the differential methylation level to a predetermined reference level. When the differential methylation level deviates from the predetermined reference level, the presence of cerebral palsy is indicated in the patient.

Abstract: A computer system prevents data leakage via version control systems. Outgoing traffic that is destined for an external server hosting a version control system is identified. The outgoing traffic is associated with an endpoint device corresponding to an individual who is a member of the organization. Historical information is collected about the individual, and a user account of the version control system that is associated with the identified individual is identified. The external server hosting the version control system is searched to determine whether potentially sensitive information has been uploaded. Embodiments may further include a method and program product for preventing data leakage via version control systems in substantially the same manner described above.
