  • Patent number: 10666573
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide for methods for the management of logically partitioned computing resources of a data processing system configured with a plurality of hypervisors that each manages one or more logical partitions of the computing resources. Each hypervisor and logical partitions managed thereby are allocated to a domain of a plurality of domains. Logical partitions and hypervisors allocated to a first domain are monitored to determine whether additional computing resources are needed for the first domain. Responsive to determining that additional computing resources are needed for the first domain, a second domain having available computing resources is determined. At least a portion of the available computing resources of the second domain are used by the first domain.

  • Patent number: 10664202
Abstract: Disclosed are various examples for network printer detection and authentication for managed device deployment. In one example, a computing environment can receive an identifier from a client device over a network, where the client device detects the identifier based on a wireless transmission performed by a transmitter in association with a print operation assigned to a network printer. The computing environment can determine whether an authentication is required at the network printer in association with the print operation and cause an agent application executable on the client device to obtain authentication data. An authentication can be performed based on the authentication data received from the client device and, in response to a successful authentication, causes the print operation to be performed by the network printer.

  • Patent number: 10666679
Abstract: The innovation disclosed and claimed herein, in one aspect thereof, comprises systems and methods of reconfiguring network settings. The systems and methods monitor a network and detect a hacker on a network. The systems and methods can reconfigure network settings of the network upon detecting the hacker. The systems and methods can analyze the hack for severity; and determine a reconfiguration layer based on the severity of the hack. The reconfiguration layer determines a subset of the network settings to be reconfigured. The systems and methods can dismantle the network and generate a replacement network having the reconfigured set of network settings and replace the network with the replacement network.

  • Patent number: 10664587
Abstract: An authorization level is set at enrollment. Initiation information for a user of a device is provided during enrollment to an entity for authentication. The entity can be associated with a class defined by an ability of the entity to verify user identity. Verification data is received from the entity associated with user authentication. An authorization level is selected based on the verification data. An enrollment token is then generated that includes the authorization level that defines security parameters for the device.

  • Patent number: 10667078
Abstract: An application can specify a location service authorization type to be enforced by a mobile device. After the user authorizes the location service through an authorization dialog, the application can receive location service according to the authorization type. A first authorization type allows the application to receive continuous location updates and location events from a location service on the mobile device only when the application is in use. A second authorization type allows the application to always receive continuous location updates and location events when the application is running in a foreground or background. The text of the authorization dialog can be customized by the application to provide more detail on how the location data will be used by the application.
