  • Patent number: 11954358
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for cache management in a memory subsystem are described. An interface controller may include a first buffer and a second buffer. The interface controller may use the first and second buffers to facilitate operating a volatile memory as a cache for a non-volatile memory. During an access operation, the interface controller may use the buffer to transfer data between the volatile memory, non-volatile memory, and another device. In response to the access operation, the interface controller may use the second buffer to transfer second data from the volatile memory to the non-volatile memory.

  • Publication number: 20240053508
Abstract: Techniques are described for predicting groundwater for a locale, which is a subregion of a geographic region for which measurements of water storage are available at a coarse level. In a method, in response to receiving an input locale, a prediction of groundwater level for the input locale is provided. The prediction of groundwater level at the input locale is computed using a machine learning model. The machine learning model uses a plurality of parameters, which are weighted during a training phase of the machine learning model, and water storage measurements for a geographic region that encompasses the locale, the geographic region being larger than the locale, and wherein a resolution of the water storage measurements is downscaled. The prediction of groundwater level is outputted for the input locale.

  • Patent number: 11881435
Abstract: A method for fabricating a three-dimensional (3D) static random-access memory (SRAM) architecture using catalyst influenced chemical etching (CICE). Utilizing CICE, semiconductor fins can be etched with no etch taper, smooth sidewalls and no maximum height limitation. CICE enables stacking of as many nanosheet layers a desired and also enables a 3D stacked architecture for SRAM cells. Furthermore, CICE can be used to etch silicon waveguides thereby creating waveguides with smooth sidewalls to improve transmission efficiency and, for photon-based quantum circuits, to eliminate charge fluctuations that may affect photon indistinguishability.

  • Publication number: 20240015097
Abstract: Some embodiments provide novel methods for providing a set of services for a logical network associated with an edge forwarding element acting between a logical network and an external network. In some embodiments, the services are provided using a logical service forwarding plane that connects the edge forwarding element to a set of service nodes that each provide a service in the set of services. The service classification operation of some embodiments identifies a chain of multiple service operations that has to be performed on the data message. In some embodiments, identifying the chain of service operations includes selecting a service path to provide the multiple services. After selecting the service path, the data message is sent along the selected service path to have the services provided.

  • Publication number: 20240015086
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for detecting a failure of a layer 2 (L2) bump-in-the-wire service at a device. In some embodiments, the device sends heartbeat signals to a second device connected to L2 service nodes in order to detect failure of the L2 service (e.g., a failure of all the service nodes). In some embodiments, the heartbeat signals are unidirectional heartbeat signals (e.g., a unidirectional bidirectional-forwarding-detection (BFD) session) sent from each device to the other. The heartbeat signals, in some embodiments, use a broadcast MAC address in order to reach the current active L2 service node in the case of a failover (i.e., an active service node failing and a standby service node becoming the new active service node). The unidirectional heartbeat signals are also used, in some embodiments, to decrease the time between a failover and data messages being forwarded to the new active service node.

  • Patent number: 11858750
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, devices, and computer program products are disclosed for container transportation. An example system includes a conveyor network that includes a plurality of conveyors and each conveyor supports one or more containers thereon. Each conveyor defines a conveyor length and a conveyor operating speed. The system further includes a computing device operably coupled to the conveyor network. The computing device receives a starting location and a destination location of a first container within the conveyor network and receives an operating density for each conveyor in the conveyor network. The computing device determines a first travel path for the first container between the starting location and the destination location based upon the conveyor length, the conveyor operating speed, and the operating density for each conveyor in the conveyor network. The first travel path minimizes a total travel time for the first container between the starting location and the destination location.

  • Publication number: 20230367903
Abstract: A system accesses a task log comprising text that is confidential information. The system selects a first portion of the task log. The system compares each word in the first portion with keywords that are known to be confidential information. The system determines that a word in the first portion is among the keywords. The system determines a hierarchical relationship between the word and neighboring words. The system determines that the word is associated with the neighboring words based on the hierarchical relationship. The system generates a template pattern comprising the word and one or more words associated with the word. The system obfuscates the template pattern.

  • Publication number: 20230367887
Abstract: A system access a blockchain network and conducts a blockchain transaction on a task log in the blockchain network. The system stores the blockchain transaction in a blockchain ledger. The system determines whether the blockchain transaction is associated with an anomaly. The anomaly indicates that the result of the blockchain transaction is unexpected. If it is determined that the blockchain transaction is associated with an anomaly, the blockchain transaction is rejected and removed from the blockchain ledger. Otherwise, the blockchain ledger is updated to indicate that the blockchain transaction is not associated with an anomaly.

  • Publication number: 20230352235
Abstract: Present disclosure discloses a simple litz planar architecture using minimal vias for reducing Alternating Current (AC) resistance. The simple litz planar structure comprises a plurality of conductor strands of a first layer, a plurality of conductor strands of a second layer; and a plurality of vias set. The first layer and the second layer are separated by an insulating layer and each vias set is configured to perform transposition between a corresponding conductor strand of the first layer and a conductor strand of the second layer. The disclosed transposition method is simple, easy to manufacture and consequently, cost effective. The reduction in AC resistance obtained using disclosed simple litz planar structure is similar to planar litz winding. Further reduction in AC resistance is obtained by implementing multi-transposition per layer in the disclosed simple litz winding structure.

  • Publication number: 20230324495
Abstract: A tracking device broadcasts beacon signals that are separated in time by broadcast intervals. The tracking device determines the broadcast intervals based on a behavior model. The behavior model specifies one or more conditions, such as times of day within a 24-hour day, and associates a usage probability with each condition. A higher usage probability causes the tracking device to broadcast beacon signals at shorter broadcast intervals. A mobile device in communication with the tracking device can reconfigure the behavior model, either by modifying portions of the behavior model or by replacing the behavior model with a different behavior model. This allows the behavior model to adapt to different circumstances, such as different usage patterns during weekdays, weekends, and vacations.

  • Patent number: 11743172
Abstract: Some embodiments provide novel methods for providing different types of services for a logical network associated with an edge forwarding element acting between the logical network and an external network. The edge forwarding element receives data messages for forwarding and performs a service classification operation to select a set of services of a particular type for the data message. The particular type of service is one of multiple types of services that use different transport mechanisms to forward the data to a set of service nodes (e.g., service virtual machines, or service appliances, etc.) that provide the service. The edge forwarding element receives the data message after the selected set of services has been performed and performs a forwarding operation to forward the data message. In some embodiments, the method is also performed by edge forwarding elements that are at the edges of logical network segments within the logical network.

  • Publication number: 20230245996
Abstract: A method for bonding with precision alignment. A first bonding surface is bonded with a second bonding surface, where features on the first and second bonding surfaces are precisely overlaid during the bonding. An etch is then performed on the first and/or second bonding surfaces to create recesses in the first and/or second bonding surfaces. Precision alignment of the first and second bonding surfaces is then enabled by a volatile fluid deployed between the first and second bonding surfaces, where the recesses enable removal of the volatile fluid from a bonding interface during and after the bonding.
