  • Patent number: 11714156
Abstract: A tracking device broadcasts beacon signals that are separated in time by broadcast intervals. The tracking device determines the broadcast intervals based on a behavior model. The behavior model specifies one or more conditions, such as times of day within a 24-hour day, and associates a usage probability with each condition. A higher usage probability causes the tracking device to broadcast beacon signals at shorter broadcast intervals. A mobile device in communication with the tracking device can reconfigure the behavior model, either by modifying portions of the behavior model or by replacing the behavior model with a different behavior model. This allows the behavior model to adapt to different circumstances, such as different usage patterns during weekdays, weekends, and vacations.

  • Publication number: 20230187213
Abstract: A method for fabricating silicon nanostructures. An etch uniformity improving layer is deposited on a substrate. A catalyst (e.g., thin film of Ti/Au) is deposited on the substrate or the etch uniformity improving layer, where the catalyst is contacting a portion of the substrate or the etch uniformity layer. The catalyst and the substrate or etch uniformity improving layer are exposed to an etchant, where the catalyst causes etching of the substrate thereby creating etched nanostructures.

  • Publication number: 20230179474
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for configuring a gateway machine in a datacenter. The method receives a definition of a logical network for implementation in the datacenter. The logical network includes at least one logical switch to which logical network endpoints attach and a logical router for handling data traffic between the logical network endpoints in the datacenter and an external network. The method receives configuration data attaching a third-party service to at least one interface of the logical router via an additional logical switch designated for service attachments. The third-party service is for performing non-forwarding processing on the data traffic between the logical network endpoints and the external network. The method configures the gateway machine in the datacenter to implement the logical router and redirect at least a subset of the data traffic between the logical network endpoints and the external network to the attached third-party service.

  • Publication number: 20230168917
Abstract: Some embodiments provide novel methods for performing services for machines operating in one or more datacenters. For instance, for a group of related guest machines (e.g., a group of tenant machines), some embodiments define two different forwarding planes: (1) a guest forwarding plane and (2) a service forwarding plane. The guest forwarding plane connects to the machines in the group and performs L2 and/or L3 forwarding for these machines. The service forwarding plane (1) connects to the service nodes that perform services on data messages sent to and from these machines, and (2) forwards these data messages to the service nodes. In some embodiments, the guest machines do not connect directly with the service forwarding plane. For instance, in some embodiments, each forwarding plane connects to a machine or service node through a port that receives data messages from, or supplies data messages to, the machine or service node.

  • Publication number: 20230166919
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, devices, and computer program products are disclosed for container transportation. An example system includes a conveyor network that includes a plurality of conveyors and each conveyor supports one or more containers thereon. Each conveyor defines a conveyor length and a conveyor operating speed. The system further includes a computing device operably coupled to the conveyor network. The computing device receives a starting location and a destination location of a first container within the conveyor network and receives an operating density for each conveyor in the conveyor network. The computing device determines a first travel path for the first container between the starting location and the destination location based upon the conveyor length, the conveyor operating speed, and the operating density for each conveyor in the conveyor network. The first travel path minimizes a total travel time for the first container between the starting location and the destination location.

  • Publication number: 20220270930
Abstract: A method for fabricating a three-dimensional (3D) static random-access memory (SRAM) architecture using catalyst influenced chemical etching (CICE). Utilizing CICE, semiconductor fins can be etched with no etch taper, smooth sidewalls and no maximum height limitation. CICE enables stacking of as many nanosheet layers a desired and also enables a 3D stacked architecture for SRAM cells. Furthermore, CICE can be used to etch silicon waveguides thereby creating waveguides with smooth sidewalls to improve transmission efficiency and, for photon-based quantum circuits, to eliminate charge fluctuations that may affect photon indistinguishability.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for heterogeneous compute-based artificial intelligence model partitioning are described herein. An intermediate representation of an input machine learning model may be generated. The intermediate representation may be analyzed to determine compute metrics for execution of the input machine learning model. An input processing device may be analyzed to determine normalization metrics for execution of the input machine learning model on the input processing device. A partition of the intermediate representation may be generated for the input processing device based on the compute metrics and the normalization metrics. The partition may be transmitted to the input processing device for execution.

  • Patent number: 11368387
Abstract: Some embodiments facilitate the provision of a service reachable at a virtual internet protocol (VIP) address. The VIP address is used by clients to access a set of service nodes in the logical network. Facilitating the provision of the service, in some embodiments, includes returning a serviced data message to a load balancer that selected a service node to provide the service for the load balancer to track the state of the connection using the service logical forwarding element. To use the service logical forwarding element, some embodiments configure an egress datapath of the service nodes to intercept the serviced data message before being forwarded to a logical forwarding element in the datapath from the client to the service node, and determine if the serviced data message requires routing by the routing service provided as a service by the edge forwarding element.
