  • Patent number: 12173407
Abstract: Red rust staining of Al/Zn coated steel strip in “acid rain” or “polluted” environments can be minimised by forming the coating as an Al—Zn—Si—Mg alloy coating with an OT:SDAS ratio greater than a value of 0.5:1, where OT is the overlay thickness on a surface of the strip and SDAS is the measure of the secondary dendrite arm spacing for the Al-rich alpha phase dendrites in the coating. Red rust staining in “acid rain” or “polluted” environments and corrosion at cut edges in marine environments can be minimised in Al—Zn—Si—Mg alloy coatings on steel strip by selection of the composition (principally Mg and Si) and solidification control (principally by cooling rate) and forming Mg2Si phase particles of a particular morphology in interdendritic channels.

  • Patent number: 12171501
Abstract: A system and method for identifying and digitally displaying a femoral implant during hip revision surgery to guide a surgeon in detaching the femoral implant from the femur. Some embodiments include digitally registering a portion of the exposed femoral implant to create a representative point set. The system then digitally overlays a medical image of the implant and/or a 3-dimensional model of the femoral implant. Some embodiments further include a surgical tracking system configured to track a surgical cutting tool. Moreover, the system visually illustrates the cutting path of the surgical tool to convey to the surgeon where the surgeon has already cut and where the surgeon needs to cut in order to fully detach the femoral implant from the bone.

  • Patent number: 12177768
Abstract: Implementations of the subject technology provide for storing a temporary certificate on a mobile device for accessing services in association with a primary number. A device determines that a first subscriber identity module (SIM) card, previously used by the device, is not available for use by the device. The device determines that a second SIM card is available for use by the first device within a predetermined time period after the first SIM card is determined to be not available for use by the device. The device confirms that a communication identifier of the first SIM card is strongly tied to a user account associated with the device. The device stores a temporary certificate that attests to continued ownership of the communication identifier by the device and allows the device to access at least one service in association with the communication identifier.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for interfaces to manage inter-regional connectivity for direct network peerings. A system may include a connectivity coordinator, a first resource collection in a first geographical zone and a second resource collection in a second geographical zone. The coordinator implements a programmatic interface defining connectivity operations. The coordinator receives a request via the interface to establish a logically isolated network path to the second resource collection on behalf of a client that has a dedicated physical link set up to connect to the first resource collection. In response to the request, the coordinator performs one or more configuration operations to enable traffic to flow from the client's network to the second resource collection over a logically isolated network path using the dedicated physical link.

  • Patent number: 12171801
Abstract: Provided herein are methods and compositions useful for human health, e.g., for targeting one or more microorganisms resident in a host insect (e.g., arthropod, e.g., insect, e.g., pathogen vector), the modulation resulting in a decrease in the fitness of the host. The invention features a composition that includes a modulating agent (e.g., phage, peptide, small molecule, antibiotic, or combinations thereof) that can alter the host's microbiota in a manner that is detrimental to the host. By disrupting microbial levels, microbial activity, microbial metabolism, or microbial diversity, the modulating agent described herein may be used to decrease the fitness of a variety of insects that carry vector-home pathogens that cause disease in humans.

  • Patent number: 12174785
Abstract: In an embodiment, a coprocessor may include a bypass indication which identifies execution circuitry that is not used by a given processor instruction, and thus may be bypassed. The corresponding circuitry may be disabled during execution, preventing evaluation when the output of the circuitry will not be used for the instruction. In another embodiment, the coprocessor may implement a grid of processing elements in rows and columns, where a given coprocessor instruction may specify an operation that causes up to all of the processing elements to operate on vectors of input operands to produce results. Implementations of the coprocessor may implement a portion of the processing elements. The coprocessor control circuitry may be designed to operate with the full grid or partial grid, reissuing instructions in the partial grid case to perform the requested operation. In still another embodiment, the coprocessor may be able to fuse vector mode operations.
