  • Publication number: 20190253179
Abstract: An approach is provided in which a source system selects a symbol in a first bit stream that is partitioned into at least a first data chunk and a second data chunk. The beginning of the selected symbol resides in the first data chunk. The source system generates a first pull timing indicator in response to determining that at least a portion of the selected first symbol resides in the second data chunk. The source system generates a multiplexed bit stream by combining the first bit stream with a second bit stream based on the first pull timing indicator and transmits the multiplexed bit stream to a destination system.

Abstract: The present teaching relates to obtaining a model for identifying content matching a query. Training data are received which include queries, advertisements, and hyperlinks. A plurality of subwords are identified from each of the queries and a plurality of input vectors for the plurality of subwords of each of the queries are obtained and an input vector for each of the queries is derived based on a plurality of input vectors of a plurality of subwords of the query. A query/ads model is optimized with respect to an objective function via training an input vector for each of the plurality of subwords associated with each of the queries, an input vector for each of the advertisements and links, and a matrix.

  • Publication number: 20190252268
Abstract: Gate isolation methods and structures leverage the formation of a sidewall spacer layer within a recess formed in an organic planarization layer. The spacer layer enables precise alignment of the cut region of a sacrificial gate, which may be backfilled with an isolation layer. By forming the isolation layer after a reliability anneal of the gate dielectric and after formation of a first work function metal layer, both the desired critical dimension (CD) and alignment of the isolation layer can be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20190253349
Abstract: A network element dynamically adjusts the forwarding plane based on a received packet. The network element receives a packet that is formatted according to a packet type. The network element determines whether the network element is configured to process the packet type. Responsive to a determination that that network element is not configured to process the packet type, the network element sends packet information to a network controller. The network element receives at least one packet handling module that includes instructions for processing the packet type of the received packet. Installing the at least one packet handling module on the network element configures the network element to process the packet type. The network element processes the packet according to the instructions in the at least one packet handling module.

  • Publication number: 20190249796
Abstract: A tamper resistant locking device for securing fire hydrants. The device is simple to install, easy to remove by the fire department using securing fasteners commonly available. The locking device prevents unauthorized use of a fire hydrant. A collar assembly is dimensioned to encircle a barrel of a fire hydrant. A tab protrudes from ends of the collar assembly each having at least one slot. A retainer leg has an aperture dimensioned to receive an operating nut of the fire hydrant. A bottom end of the retainer leg is oriented to be received in the coaxially aligned slot of the collar assembly, such that the aperture prevents rotation of the operating nut.

  • Publication number: 20190251158
Abstract: Technology is disclosed herein for handing approximate (or uncertain) values in spreadsheet applications. More specifically, the technology describes spreadsheet applications that support arrays or sets of approximate (or uncertain) values as native entities. An approximate (or uncertain) value may be the value of a cell of the spreadsheet that is resolvable by formula, charts and other functionalities. In some implementations, approximate values may include a range of data and a probability distribution that can be automatically created by the spreadsheet application, generated based on context, input by the user, etc. Because the approximate (or uncertain) value is natively available, it can be incorporated in a spreadsheet like other values. Additionally, the approximate (or uncertain) values can automatically propagate through a spreadsheet calculation to obtain a final approximate result.

  • Publication number: 20190251688
Abstract: Embodiments access a pre-neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) radiological image of a region of tissue demonstrating breast cancer (BCa), the region of tissue including a tumoral region, the image having a plurality of pixels; extract a set of patches from the tumoral region; provide the set of patches to a convolutional neural network (CNN) configured to discriminate tissue that will experience pathological complete response (pCR) post-NAC from tissue that will not; receive, from the CNN, a pixel-level localized patch probability of pCR; compute a distribution of predictions across analyzed patches based on the pixel-level localized patch probability; classify the region of tissue as a responder or non-responder based on the distribution of predictions, and display the classification. Embodiments may further generate a probability mask based on the pixel-level localized patch probability; and generate a heatmap of likelihood of response to NAC based on the probability mask and the pre-NAC radiological image.
