  • Patent number: 8024524
Abstract: Provided are a method, system, and program for an adaptor to read and write to system memory. A plurality of blocks of data to write to storage are received at an adaptor. The blocks of data are added to a buffer in the adaptor. A determination is made of pages in a memory device and I/O requests are generated to write the blocks in the buffer to the determined pages, wherein two I/O requests are generated to write to one block split between two pages in the memory device. The adaptor executes the generated I/O requests to write the blocks in the buffer to the determined pages in the memory device.

  • Patent number: 8020443
Abstract: A microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) transducer (90) is adapted to sense acceleration in mutually orthogonal directions (92, 94, 96). The MEMS transducer (90) includes a proof mass (100) suspended above a substrate (98) by an anchor system (116). The anchor system (116) pivotally couples the proof mass (100) to the substrate (98) at a rotational axis (132) to enable the proof mass (100) to rotate about the rotational axis (132) in response to acceleration in a direction (96). The proof mass (100) has an opening (112) extending through it. Another proof mass (148) resides in the opening (112), and another anchor system (152) suspends the proof mass (148) above the surface (104) of the substrate (98). The anchor system (152) enables the proof mass (148) to move substantially parallel to the surface (104) of the substrate (98) in response to acceleration in at least another direction (92, 94).

  • Patent number: 8022516
Abstract: A fabrication method for a BGA or LGA package includes a low-cost metal leadframe with internally extended leads. I/O attach lands can be placed at any location on the metal leadframe, including the center of the package. An I/O attach land can be fabricated at any position upon an extended lead (e.g., near the center of the package). During fabrication of the package, an isolation saw cut to the bottom of the package can be used to electrically disconnect the leadframe circuit from the peripheral extension traces to prevent tampering with the IC die by probing the edge metal traces.
