  • Publication number: 20240179166
Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods for detection and mitigation of malicious encryption. A security agent on an infected computing device may monitor data writes to disk, memory, or network transmission buffers for strings that may represent encryption keys or moduli. The security agent may apply one or more techniques to decode and parse the string to either identify or extract the keys, or rule out the string as containing an encryption key or modulus. If a key is identified, or its presence cannot be excluded, then the security agent may generate an alert and take mitigation actions.

Abstract: A method for conserving resources in a distributed system includes receiving an event-criteria list from a resource controller. The event-criteria list includes one or more events watched by the resource controller and the resource controller controls at least one target resource and is configured to respond to events from the event-criteria list that occur. The method also includes determining whether the resource controller is idle. When the resource controller is idle, the method includes terminating the resource controller, determining whether any event from the event-criteria list occurs after terminating the resource controller, and, when at least one event from the event-criteria list occurs after terminating the resource controller, recreating the resource controller.

  • Publication number: 20240173799
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of high speed welding a plurality of cell terminals to a plurality of tabs of one or more busbar components, using a laser welding system. Each of the tabs are positioned in contact with one or more terminals, and a scanning head is positioned at a first position relative to the tabs, before welding a first group of the tabs to the respective terminals with the scanning head held at the first position. The scanning head is then moved to a second position relative to the tabs, and a second group of the terminals are welded to the respective tabs.

  • Publication number: 20240177545
Abstract: A system may detect a sound associated with a vehicle. The sound may be detected using a set of one or more microphones. The system may use a machine learning model to detect at least one of a squeak or a rattle based on the sound. The machine learning model may be trained using a plurality of sounds emitted in relation to one or more vehicles. The system may determine, based on detecting at least one of the squeak or the rattle, a location of the vehicle associated with at least one of the squeak or the rattle. In some implementations, the location may be determined based on detecting different sound levels between a first microphone and a second microphone, or detecting a time difference between the first and the second microphone, or by correlating the sound to a sound signature associated with a part of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11997074
Abstract: A request is received by a videoconference instantiation server to initiate a videoconference among a plurality of participants. Thereafter, the videoconference instantiation server requests provision of an on-demand computing network. The videoconference server is then instantiated in the on-demand computing network. A plurality of inbound proxies are generated which are configured to communicate with the videoconference server. The inbound proxies obfuscate administrative data passing therethrough. In addition, a plurality of portal proxies are generated that each are configured to communicate with a different one of the inbound proxies. The videoconference instantiation server then generates a unique access path to a different one of the portal proxies for each of the participants. The portal proxies, when accessed, allow the corresponding participant to access a videoconference being executed by the videoconference server.

  • Publication number: 20240168734
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and computer system for identifying involvement of application services in a distributed application. The method includes accessing traced request data of application requests for a distributed application and determining dependencies and call frequency between application services from the traced request data of the application requests. The method includes obtaining an involvement factor of an application service as a measure of involvement of the application service in the application requests based on the dependencies and call frequencies. The method applies the involvement factor to availability and functioning management of the distributed application.

  • Publication number: 20240166415
Abstract: One or more implementations of a multi-film thermoplastic bag including a zone of contact areas between adjacent films with varying lamination. The contact areas comprise areas in which at least first and second thermoplastic films of the multi-film thermoplastic bag are in intimate contact and bonded together by heat and pressure. The contact areas help reinforce the bag due to increased stiffness provided by the contact areas, as well as distribute stresses/stain over more material, and thereby, help reduce tearing or other damage by stresses/strain from grasping fingers (e.g., during a grabbing motion to lift or carry) or objects being placed inside the bag. Additionally, the increased stiffness can provide a tactile feel that connotes strength to a user grasping the grab zone.

  • Publication number: 20240171406
Abstract: A first verifiable credential is received at a second entity from a first entity. The first verifiable credential is cryptographically signed by the first entity using decentralized identifier (DID) of the first entity. The first verifiable credential includes a security indicator that specifies a security posture of the second entity based on security settings implemented by the second entity. A second verifiable credential is generated that embeds the first verifiable credential therein. The second verifiable credential is provided to a third entity. The second verifiable credential causes the third entity to verify the cryptographic signature of the first entity with a public key associated with the DID of the first entity to determine that the first verifiable credential is valid and that the security settings being implemented by the second entity are in compliance with security policies of the third entity.
