    Abstract: A method of aligning a wire with a pathway inlet includes directing a feeding end of a wire toward a pathway inlet of a feed pathway, creating a pressure differential between the pathway inlet and a pathway outlet of the feed pathway thus creating a pressure-driven gas flow around the wire and into the pathway inlet. The wire is urged along the feed pathway toward the pathway outlet via the shear force of the gas flow created by the pressure differential. A method of preventing stiction of a wire with an inner wall of a thin pathway includes creating a pressure differential between a pathway inlet and a pathway outlet thus creating a pressure-driven gas flow around a feeding end of the wire and into the pathway inlet of the pathway, and inducing one of a flutter or vibration in the wire at the feeding end of the wire.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are directed to a pull-through winding method, and a manufacturing fixture, or mandrel, that guides the layup of material in the pull-through winding method, for fabrication of a three-dimensional load bearing structure. These systems and methods allow fibers of material of the 3D load bearing structure to be pulled as straight as possible during winding, and maintained as straight as possible during curing, to take full advantage of properties associated with the fiber or filament-based materials used in these structures, including, for example, carbon fiber material. The manufacturing fixture includes a plurality of pull-through slots at end portions thereof, that provide for the pulling of the fiber-based material, and the application and maintenance of tension in the material that maintains the alignment of the fibers as the material is wound, cured and hardened.

    Abstract: In one aspect, authentication information is received from a first processing device in a second processing device, and a digital signature is generated in the second processing device by signing data that incorporates at least a portion of the received authentication information. The received authentication information is generated at least in part from a secret seed stored in the first processing device. The received authentication information may be combined with the digital signature generated by the second processing device to form a joint signature that is transmitted to an authentication server. In an illustrative embodiment, the received authentication information comprises a tokencode and the digital signature is generated by signing data that incorporates the tokencode. The data that is signed to generate the digital signature may comprise an electronic document having the tokencode appended thereto.

    Abstract: Enhancements to existing gaming controllers facilitating expedient response time and fine-tuned accuracy are described. The enhancements comprise the internal modification of the stock resistance force supplied by the analog stick centering spring mechanism. Through modification, the force of resistance supplied may be increased to over 200 grams of force, or down to 40 grams of force, while maintaining full function of the analog stick mechanism. A second primary enhancement replaces the stock triggers, conventionally equipped with progressive resistance sensors, to a momentary ‘snap-action’ two-way switch, minimizing trigger pull distance, and removing the analog nature of the trigger to achieve optimal performance.
