Abstract: A sampling connector for use in sampling a body fluid such as arterial blood or cerebrospinal fluid. The sampling connector comprises at least two apertures in fluid communication via a fluid flow conduit and a one-way valve (14) disposed to allow fluid flow from the first aperture, through the fluid flow conduit and out of the second aperture, but not to allow fluid to flow into the second aperture and through the fluid flow conduit to the first aperture. In use, the sampling connector is connected to a body cavity to enable the sampling of a body fluid by withdrawal of the body fluid through the first aperture, and to prevent the introduction of a separate fluid to the body cavity. The first aperture can be within a male end and the second aperture can be within a female end or vice versa. A sampling device comprising a sampling connector according to the present invention and use of the sampling connector and/or sampling device is also claimed.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described for providing a system for visualizing items and conversations in a communication application. Conversations are presented as a list of items in the communication application. A quantity of presented items is limited based on a size of a client device employed for viewing the items. Visualizations are applied to the presented items to attempt to maximize a number of items that are presented while providing information about the items to enable a user to preview content and take actions on the items. The visualizations include different templates applied to each item based on a type of item and content associated with the item, and the templates may be are dynamically updated based on user interactions with the items. The templates for items are determined by applying a set of rules and factors to each item to determine a most appropriate visualization for each item.

Abstract: An engine air filter box has an inlet housing and an outlet housing separated by a base plate with plural openings. Each opening is covered by a filter having a different height selected to fit between the base plate and the inlet housing while increasing air flow through the openings. The filter shape and cap shape can also be varied.

Abstract: Approaches for improving overlay performance for an integrated circuit (IC) device are provided. Specifically, the IC device (e.g., a fin field effect transistor (FinFET)) is provided with an oxide layer and a pad layer formed over a substrate, wherein the oxide layer comprises an alignment and overlay mark, an oxide deposited in a set of openings formed through the pad layer and into the substrate, a mandrel layer deposited over the oxide material and the pad layer, and a set of fins patterned in the IC device without etching the alignment and overlay mark. With this approach, the alignment and overlay mark is provided with the fin cut (FC) layer and, therefore, avoids finification.

Abstract: Arrangements described herein relate to initiating social interaction based on e-mail content. Information associated with an e-mail being composed by a user can be analyzed to determine whether content of the e-mail is appropriate for incorporation into at least one social system. Responsive to determining that the content of the e-mail is appropriate for incorporation into at least one social system, a first option to enter the content of the e-mail in a first social system and a second option to enter the content of the e-mail in a second social system can be presented to the user. Responsive to the user selecting to enter the content of the e-mail in the first social system, a first entry in the first social system can be automatically created. The first entry can include the content of the e-mail composed by the user.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described for providing dynamic report views of multi-dimensional business data. An enterprise resource planning (ERP) system may facilitate data collection of user requested data for a dimension, such as a time interval, and presentation of the data in a data report. The data report may initially display an initial granularity of the data displaying the requested dimension. During data collection for the requested data, multiple dimensions of data related to the requested data may also be collected, and the data for the additional dimensions may be rendered in the background to enable the data to be dynamically presented in the report upon request by a user without having to retrieve new data. The user may select to view one or more additional intervals of data on the initial data report, and the data report may automatically refresh to display the selected data intervals.

Abstract: A method for in vivo, ex vivo and in vitro regeneration of cartilage and collagen. In vivo, ex vivo and in vitro regeneration and de novo formation of articular cartilage and collagen by intermittently applied hydrostatic pressure. The application of external interval loading consisting of repeated periods of applied hydrostatic pressure followed and interrupted by periods of recovery. The application of the intermittent hydrostatic pressure at physiological levels 5-10 MPA for an interval of 4 hours followed by a recovery period up to about 20 hours, said pressure applied to the cartilage cells in vitro, explants of cartilage ex vivo and in vivo to cartilage that remains intact within to joint space of diarthrotic joints.

Abstract: Updating firmware on mobile devices can be performed during device management (DM) sessions between mobile devices and one or more servers. A server can provide data to at least one node of a firmware update management object (FUMO) stored at a mobile device. The data can indicate a plurality of different update file locations accessible via a network. The mobile device can download a plurality of update files from the plurality of different update file locations via the network in response to receiving the command. From a set of update files, each mobile device can thus obtain its particular firmware update as a subset of the update files as indicated by its FUMO. Metadata may be provided to the FUMO to express one or more conditions that the mobile device must meet in order to download respective update files.

Abstract: A control system for a vehicle comprises a control unit configured to be electrically coupled to a drive system of the vehicle. The drive system includes at least one traction motor for providing motive power to the vehicle. The control unit is configured to control a torque output of the traction motor to hold zero speed or near zero speed of the vehicle on a grade without knowing information, in at least one mode of operation, about the grade and/or a load of the vehicle, and without a service brake of the vehicle being activated.

The invention may include a graphical user interface capable of locally querying a user to input the company information, at least one network port capable of remotely receiving the company information from the graphical user interface, and at least one engine communicatively connected to the at least one network port, which engine preferably includes a plurality of rules to generate, responsively to the input company information, at least one of a business valuation, a business score, and/or one or more business flags to be used as indicators in a network marketplace, for the company associated with the inputted company information.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for performing a floating point arithmetic operation in a data processing system. A plurality of floating point operands of the floating point arithmetic operation are received and bits in a mantissa of at least one floating point operand of the plurality of floating point operands are shifted. One or more bits of the mantissa that are shifted outside a range of bits of the mantissa of at least one floating point operand are stored and a vector value is generated based on the stored one or more bits of the mantissa that are shifted outside of the range of bits of the mantissa of the at least one floating point operand. A resultant value is generated for the floating point arithmetic operation based on the vector value and the plurality of floating point operands.

The dispenser includes at least two feed ports, corresponding perches, and a torsion spring that provide biasing force for the mechanism. The occlusion of feed ports in the dispenser is such that when a non-bird having weight sufficient to activate the mechanism engages a portion of the roof or a perch thereon, all the feed ports are obstructed.
