  • Publication number: 20210248724
Abstract: An ultrasound imaging system has an improved dynamic range control which enables a user to reduce image haze with substantially no effect on bright tissue in the image and without increasing speckle variance. A dynamic range processor processes an input image to produce an approximation image which is a spatially low pass filtered version of the input image. The dynamic range of the approximation image is compressed, and image detail, unaffected by the compression, is added back to produce a dynamically compressed image for display.

  • Publication number: 20210249572
Abstract: LED packages are disclosed that are compact and efficiently emit light, and can comprise encapsulants with planar surfaces that refract and/or reflect light within the package encapsulant. The LED package are also directed to features or arrangements that allow for improved or tailored emission characteristic for LED packages according to the present invention. Some of these features or arrangements include, but are not limited to, higher ratio of light source size to submount size, the used of particular materials (e.g. different silicones) for the LED package layers, improved arrangement of a reflective layer, improved composition and arrangement of the phosphor layer, tailoring the shape of the encapsulant, and/or improving the bonds between the layers. There are only some of the improvements disclosed herein, with some of these resulting in LED packages the emit light with a higher luminous intensity over conventional LED packages.

  • Publication number: 20210250182
Abstract: In embodiments, an authentication server interfaces between a user device with a self-signed certificate and a verifying computer that accepts a user name and password. The user device generates a self-signed certificate signed by a private key on the user device. The self-signed certificate is transmitted to a verifying party computer over a network. The verifying party stores the self-signed certificate with user identification data. The user migrates trust to another device by providing the root certificate and intermediate certificate as a certificate chain to a second device, which then adds a new intermediate certificate to create a longer certificate chain with the same root certificate. In subsequent communications, the verifying party receives a certificate chain including the self-signed certificate from the second user device, and matches that with the user identification data stored in a database.
