  • Publication number: 20100153932
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for managing set membership. A set definition is translated into one or more membership conditions. Each membership condition includes statements about the attributes of a resource that are to be true if the resource is to be included in the set. For any given resource request, resources touched by the request are compared to membership conditions applicable to the touched resources. Thus, embodiments of the invention minimize the work that is done to determine which sets a resource may or may not belong to whenever a resource is modified. Accordingly, based on available resources, embodiments of the invention can scale to accommodate larger numbers of sets and larger numbers of potential members of sets.

  • Patent number: 7737015
Abstract: A simple and cost effective method of forming a fully silicided (FUSI) gate of a MOS transistor is disclosed. In one example, the method comprises forming a nitride hardmask overlying a polysilicon gate, forming an S/D silicide in source/drain regions of the transistor, oxidizing a portion of the S/D silicide to form an oxide barrier overlying the S/D silicide in the source/drain regions, removing the nitride hardmask from the polysilicon gate, and forming a gate silicide such as by deposition of a gate silicide metal over the polysilicon gate and the oxide barrier in the source/drain regions to form a fully silicided (FUSI) gate in the transistor. Thus, the oxide barrier protects the source/drain regions from additional silicide formation by the gate silicide metal formed thereafter. The method may further comprise selectively removing the oxide barrier in the source/drain regions after forming the fully silicided (FUSI) gate.

  • Patent number: 7736783
Abstract: A bipolar plate comprising a fluid barrier and a sealing frame formed around and overlaping the perimeter of the fluid barrier. The fluid barrier is placed in a mold and then a polymer is injected into the mold, thereby forming the sealing frame around the fluid barrier such that the sealing frame overlaps the perimeter of the fluid barrier. Because there are no surfaces to seal between the perimeter of the fluid barrier and the sealing frame, gaskets or other sealing surfaces are not required. A bipolar plate is further provided comprising a fluid barrier having the perimeter of the fluid barrier between a preformed cathode sealing frame and an anode sealing frame. The anode and cathode sealing frames are adapted to receive an overlapped portion of the perimeter of the fluid barrier. The anode and cathode sealing frames are then bonded together to form a fluid tight seal.

  • Patent number: 7736934
Abstract: An improved method for manufacturing a vertical germanium detector is disclosed. Initially, a detector window is opened through an oxide layer on a single crystalline substrate. Next, a single crystal germanium layer is grown within the detector window, and an amorphous germanium layer is grown on the oxide layer. The amorphous germanium layer is then polished and removed until only a portion of the amorphous germanium layer is located around the single crystal germanium layer. A tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) layer is deposited on the amorphous germanium layer and the single crystal germanium layer. An implant is subsequently performed on the single crystal germanium layer. After an oxide window has been opened on the TEOS layer, a titanium layer is deposited on the single crystal germanium layer to form a vertical germanium detector.
