  • Patent number: 9539946
Abstract: A vehicle mirror assembly has a mirror retention plate having two parallel free edges and a replaceable mirror plate having a first surface to which the mirror is attached and a second surface opposite said first surface. The second surface has two parallel edges which includes projections on one of said edges able to retain one of said edges of the retention plate. On the second edge of said second surface of the mirror plate is a releasable locking mechanisms engageable with the other of said free edges of the retention plate. This allows the mirror plate to be simply snapped into position and released by triggering the release mechanism.

  • Patent number: 9462838
Abstract: The present disclosure provide techniques for creating a template piece of clothing that can accurately determine a best “fit” of apparel on the consumer. The template may be made of a highly stretchable material with embedded sensors at various locations, wherein the sensors detect an amount of pressure exerted thereon. The template may also include embedded tensile members, such that when the template is worn by the consumer, the tensile members can constrict, expand, or otherwise adapt to the body measurements of the consumer. The template can thereby effectively measure the size and shape of the consumer wearing the template. The information regarding the size and shape of the consumer obtained by the template be outputted to a computer or other readout, and used by the consumer in determining whether corresponding apparel will fit properly.

  • Patent number: 9429434
Abstract: A system and method for mapping an indoor environment. A client device may receive an indication of a starting point on a floor plan. The client device may prompt the user to travel in a particular direction and indicate when the user can no longer travel in that direction. As the user travels from the starting point in the designated direction, the client device may gather information about the indoor environment. For example, the client device may gather wireless signal strength data, cellular tower strength data, or video image data while the user travels in the designated direction. The client device may associate the gathered information with the path the user traveled from the starting point to the ending point. The client device may indicate the area for which valid location information is available based on the path the user traveled and the information the user collected.

  • Patent number: 9285923
Abstract: A display includes a display area that emits light and a border region surrounding at least a portion of the light emitting region. A light guide plate is overlaying the display area. A lighting module is operatively interconnected with the light guide plate to provide light to the light guide plate and positioned within the border region, and a one camera module is operatively interconnected with the light guide plate to sense light from the light guide plate and positioned within the border region. The display determines a position of a touch on the light guide plate by determining a location of frustrated total internal reflection within the light guide plate as a result of the touch on the light guide plate.

  • Patent number: 9139134
Abstract: A vehicle mirror assembly has a mirror support and a mirror plate fitted on said support and a rear cover enclosing the sides and back of the mirror support and the attached plate. The rear cover is attachable to the mirror support and is able to be securely fastened to the mirror support by a screw threaded fastener accessed from the front of the mirror assembly without removal of the mirror plate. This solves the problem of maintaining the aerodynamic surface of the rear cover and yet having it securely fastened without the need to remove the mirror plate.
