  • Publication number: 20230209461
Abstract: A UE may, responsive to detecting a power-related condition, send a message to induce the master node to release the secondary node. Such a message can include a message reporting a radio link failure of the secondary node, or, if a channel quality indicator is configured for at least some of the secondary cells of the secondary node, reporting a low CQI value so that the network can cease scheduling on such cells. Alternatively, in a carrier aggregation (CA) mode, with the UE connected to a single node comprising a primary cell and one or more secondary cells, the UE may not control which and how many secondary cells with which it communicates. In such a scenario, if such secondary cells are configured for channel quality indicator reporting, the UE may report a low CQI value so that the node will cease scheduling data on such cells.

  • Publication number: 20230205309
Abstract: A time-multiplexing resonant drive scheme is described that reuses an inductor circuit for multiple functional purposes in a Mixed Reality (MR) device. A driver circuit and a multiplexer circuit are dynamically configured by a controller circuit for three operating modes. In the first mode, energy is coupled from a battery to the inductor circuit in a forward direction to charge the inductor circuit and generate a positive power supply voltage. In the second mode, energy is coupled from to the inductor circuit in a reverse direction to charge the inductor circuit and generate a negative power supply voltage. In the third mode, the inductor is operated with an antenna as part of a resonance drive circuit, where facial movements of the user can be detected based on the response. Reduced component count and reduced cost requirements are achieved by the described scheme.

  • Publication number: 20230207052
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of quantifying a strength of association of genes associated with a phenotype and a contribution of rare variants to a phenotype response by calculating a weighted burden score for a plurality of associated genes with a specified phenotype, wherein the burden score identifies identifying consequential, non-random association in a cohort between carrier status of each of the associated genes and a phenotype response to presence in the associated genes of one or more rare pathogenic variants. Respective effective strength scores are determined for the consequential, non-random association for genes selected from the associated genes based on respective burden scores at per-gene resolution.

  • Publication number: 20230200856
Abstract: A woven retention device that is configured to receive a fastener in a bone hole can be configured to promote bone ingrowth and impede biofilm formation. The woven retention device can be made of woven filaments that outline apertures of varying sizes and shapes and can serve as an interface between the fastener and the bone material. In a first relaxed state, the interwoven filaments can outline apertures of varying sizes and shapes within a predetermined range and in a second constricted state inside the bone hole with the fastener the interwoven filaments can outline apertures of decreased area that still fall within the predetermined range. The woven retention device can be configured to allow for optimal bone growth while at the same time minimizing the likelihood that biofilm forms thereon.

  • Publication number: 20230207067
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of performing an optimized burden test for a particular gene, in which an optimal combination of a maximum allele count and a minimum pathogenicity score threshold that maximize significance of burden testing for rare deleterious variants are determined using a grid search protocol. Each combination of maximum allele count and minimum pathogenicity score threshold is tested with a t-test to obtain effect size and p-value. The combination of allele count and pathogenicity score threshold with the most significant p-value is selected as the optimal parameters for the rare deleterious variant burden test for a particular gene.
