  • Publication number: 20180055450
Abstract: A monitoring apparatus includes a housing configured to be positioned within an ear of a subject, and a sensor module. The sensor module includes an optical emitter and detector, and an optical filter overlying at least a portion of the detector. The sensor module also includes a motion sensor, an interference filter, and a processor. The optical filter attenuates time-varying environmental light interference caused by sunlight and/or ambient light. The interference filter removes effects of time-varying environmental interference from a signal output from the optical detector and produces a processed energy response signal associated with a physiological condition of the subject. The processor controls operations of the optical emitter, the optical detector, the motion sensor, and the interference filter. The processor utilizes an output signal from the motion sensor to remove motion artifacts from the energy response signal, and extracts at least one physiological property from the energy response signal.

  • Publication number: 20180060310
Abstract: A terminology marker system integrates a terminology analytical component for quantifying the amount of linguistic noise found in the translation output as measured against a dictionary; further, correlating the noise measured on a continuous basis enables the analytical component to build terminology predictive models used in a feedback loop to upstream components of the supply chain to improve future translation of new content. The system also provides a smart terminology assessment component for assessing linguistic assets and improving the quality of those assets to assist in translation. The system also provides a smart terminology evaluation component that is able to analyze MT output to make smart decisions on reducing the amount of post editing corrections needed for delivering a persistent level of translation quality.

  • Publication number: 20180055019
Abstract: Self-dispensing poultry and small animal feeder dispenses feed from a hopper into a catch dish on demand by action of the bird pecking at the feed in the catch dish or small animal feeding at the catch dish. Interchangeable regulating disks have respective different size center apertures, and a groove seating a cross-bar of a trigger rod on which the catch dish is supported. A spade or paddle at the upper end of the trigger rod moves when the trigger rod wiggles or shifts, and this causes feed to fall through the regulator disk center aperture to replenish the feed in the catch dish.

  • Publication number: 20180060426
Abstract: A system for providing a multi-technology visual environment for management of issues. A Topic Model is trained via a text corpus for each issue via Topic Model Trainer, also known as the Topic Modeler. Then, incoming discourse texts (such as tweets) are classified to issues organizations care about and are thus relevant, or classified as irrelevant via a Classification Module. Finally, the resulting list of relevant discourse surrounding the issues is scored via a Scoring Module. The modules are configured accordingly. A topic training module configured to allow an user to specify a text corpus representing the discourse surrounding an issue. A topic classification module configured to analyze the data to remove non-material information and classify the text discourse data based on topic. A scoring module configured to assign numerical scores to the classified discourse text based on the issue it is about and the type of entity that created the discourse text for an identified period of time.
