  • Publication number: 20180040572
Abstract: Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide reinforcement for a carrier or a package. A reinforcement layer is added to a surface of the carrier, often a bottom surface of the carrier that is generally under-utilized except for placement of terminal connections. The reinforcement layer adds structural support to the carrier or package, which can be very thin otherwise. In various embodiments, the addition of the reinforcement layer to the carrier or package reduces warpage of the carrier or package.

  • Publication number: 20180038361
Abstract: Certain example embodiments relate to an air pump for balls, tires, toys, and/or the like and include a retractable base, which facilitates the storage of the needle(s) and/or other adapter(s) inside of the pump itself. This arrangement reduces the chances that it/they will break because it/they is/are protected inside of the pump and need not be repeatedly attached/detached. The pump in certain example embodiments includes a tube body into which the retractable base retracts, a plunger disk, a guide system including one or more guides for guiding the plunger disk and/or base within the tube body, a locking mechanism to help lock the base in extended and/or retracted positions, and a handle. The pump safely stores at least one needle/adapter in the tube body. In the event that a needle breaks, it may be replaced as if it were a conventional pump.

  • Publication number: 20180038347
Abstract: The present invention provides a method to generate self contained electrical power within a building by capturing wind energy to generate kinetic energy, yielding DC current and transferring DC current from generators through anode and cathode to an electrolyzer; using a catalyst and heat for the electrolysis of water to improve the production of hydrogen and Oxygen. Yielding Oxygen and Hydrogen from electrolyzer and compressing them for storing separately in gaseous or liquid form for further igniting Hydrogen and Oxygen in a combustion chamber to generate heat to generate high pressure steam to run steam turbines to further generate electricity for the consumption requirements of the building or a user. This invention combines in a linear order components, the majority of which exist and are commercially available, which transform wind power into electrical power to provide electricity to a building making it possible for the building to become its own clean energy power plant, independent from the grid.

  • Patent number: 9883909
Abstract: Methods for treating hyperaldosteronism with therapeutic renal neuromodulation and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. One aspect of the present technology, for example, is directed to methods that at least partially inhibit sympathetic neural activity in renal nerves proximate a renal blood vessel of a human patient. One or more measurable physiological parameters corresponding to hyperaldosteronism of the patient can thereby be improved. Moreover, central sympathetic drive in the patient can be reduced in a manner that treats the patient for hyperaldosteronism. Renal sympathetic nerve activity can be modulated along the afferent and/or efferent pathway. The modulation can be achieved, for example, using an intravascularly positioned catheter carrying a neuromodulation assembly, e.g., a neuromodulation assembly configured to use electrically-induced, thermally-induced, and/or chemically-induced approaches to modulate the renal nerve.
