  • Patent number: 4286759
Abstract: A lock lever is pivotally supported by a frame secured to the vehicle body, the intermediate portion of a webbing for restraining an occupant is wound around a contact member secured to said lock lever, and, when the tension of the webbing is increased in an emergency, said lock lever turns whereby lock members clamp the intermediate portion of the webbing to lock same, so that the occupant can be restrained. Particularly, the contact member, during normal condition of the vehicle, is supported by a small diameter portion to smoothly guide the webbing, and, in an emergency of the vehicle, comes into contact at a large diameter portion thereof with said lock lever to receive a resisting force to the rotation, so that the portion of the webbing locked by the lock members can be decreased in tension.

  • Patent number: 4285385
Abstract: A method of producing a heat exchanger in which a fin block of porous metal and fin plates connected to the fin block are unitarily secured to a serpentine heat-transmitting pipe. A plurality of fin molds produced with the use of plastic patterns formed therein with continuous, three-dimensional cavities are assembled with the heat-transmitting pipe shaped beforehand into a serpentine form in such a manner that the fin molds enclose the heat-transmitting pipe with suitable spacing intervals defined between the fin molds themselves and between the fin molds and the heat-transmitting pipe. Molten metal of high thermal conductivity is cast into continuous cavities in the fin molds and into the spacing intervals, and the material of the fin molds is removed after the molten metal has solidified.

  • Patent number: 4284093
Abstract: A change dispensing machine having a change dispensing board with change receiving inlets adapted to receive change coins. The change dispensing board is reciprocated by the operation of an electric motor or an electromagnet to dispense change coins received by the change receiving inlets. Slide boards are provided under the change dispensing board, for holding the change coins received by the change receiving inlet and connecting pin holes are formed in the change dispensing board. Connecting pins engage with the connecting pin holes so that the slide boards reciprocate with the reciprocation of the change dispensing board. The connecting pins are disengaged from the connecting pin holes so that reciprocation of the slide boards is released. First elastic members provide restoring forces to said connecting pins so that solenoids are released from the reciprocation of the change dispensing board.

  • Patent number: 4283706
Abstract: A tire puncture detecting device having a pressure chamber defined by a flexible diaphragm and held in communication with the interior of the tire, an atmospheric chamber communicating with the atmosphere, and a spring plate member disposed in the pressure chamber and supporting on the front face thereof a magnet and on the rear face thereof a central portion of the flexible diaphragm. The spring plate member is normally maintained in a retracted position under the air pressure in the pressure chamber against the bias of a resilient member disposed rearwardly of the spring plate member. When a reduction in the air pressure in the pressure chamber exceeds a predetermined degree, the spring plate member buckles so as to quickly project forwardly under the force of the resilient member. In this manner, the magnet supported on the spring plate member is moved closer to an alarm circuit switch located in front of the device and energizable by magnetic force, thereby actuating the switch.

  • Patent number: 4276707
Abstract: A cartridge/carrier locking device for an automatic gun including a latch plate pivotally mounted on an inner wall of a receiver to pivot in a seesaw like manner to have two ends thereof alternately protrude inside of the receiver. The front end protrudes to restrain a cartridge and the rear end to restrain a carrier. A spring pushes the rear end toward the inside of the receiver. Against this spring, a breechblock and a cartridge brought out of a magazine respectively restrict the protruding motion of the rear end until the breechblock moves backward approximately to a maximum extent. The position at which the breechblock comes to restrict the protruding motion of the rear end of the latch plate is arranged to differ from the position at which the cartridge comes to restrict in such a way as to allow the rear end to lock the carrier.
