  • Publication number: 20240022413
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for improved communications between a service and end devices via a gateway. A token may be in a signed encrypted state when sent to untrusted devices and may be signed, but not encrypted, when used by trusted devices. Untrusted devices may receive the encrypted token and may use it to access services. An untrusted device may send the received encrypted token to the gateway, which may then send the token to its issuer so that the token issuer may decrypt the data payload. The token may then be sent back to the gateway, which may then read the decrypted data and verify whether the untrusted device is permitted to access the requested service. The gateway may then send, within the trusted domain, the request and token to the service provider so that the untrusted device can obtain access to the requested service.

  • Publication number: 20240020491
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for machine translation using neural networks. In some implementations, a text in one language is translated into a second language using a neural network model. The model can include an encoder neural network comprising a plurality of bidirectional recurrent neural network layers. The encoding vectors are processed using a multi-headed attention module configured to generate multiple attention context vectors for each encoding vector. A decoder neural network generates a sequence of decoder output vectors using the attention context vectors. The decoder output vectors can represent distributions over various language elements of the second language, allowing a translation of the text into the second language to be determined based on the sequence of decoder output vectors.

  • Publication number: 20240020860
Abstract: The present invention includes a device for transforming 3D image data such that the transformed image aligns with a 2D fluoroscopic image. The process of finding the transform that aligns the features of the 3D image with the 2D image is called image registration. The fluoroscopic image registration process has at its core a multistage framework that progressively refines a registration result. Each stage leverages the fluoroscopic registration engine which iteratively searches the parameter space defined by the stage. The core registration engine creates a candidate transform, uses it to create a digitally reconstructed radiograph, then compares that to the supplied fluoroscopic image, and the iterative alignment engine either ends or uses it to construct a new candidate transform. Similarity measurement of a candidate transform is based on intensities and any custom data relevant to the registration scenario.

  • Patent number: 11872109
Abstract: The present innovation is a customized compression device for prevention and treatment of keloids and hypertrophic scarring, primarily a frequent complication of ear piercing. The “one size fits all” design of traditional devices can compromise efficacy due to uneven fit and compression. This invention harnesses 3D digital scanning to capture the intricate contours of the ear for every patient, for personalized compression therapy. Using 3D printing, shells are fabricated with biocompatible materials such as Polylactic Acid, shape memory polymers, or silicone-based substances. In primary embodiments, device functionality is achieved with compression clips or spring-open, single-piece structures. The custom fit, potential for infusion of therapeutic agents (e.g., corticosteroids), and engineered porosity combine to improve keloid management from uniform pressure distribution and optimal healing. Additionally, the ‘shells’ can be pigmented to match patient skin tones and encourage compliance.

  • Publication number: 20240011929
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring volumetric moisture content using an affixing method for sensing probes that reduces bending and breaking stress on the probes. The volumetric moisture content sensor has sensing probes secured against compressive axial movement during insertion into a test media, while allowing limited radial movement. Radial movement is limited via the use of a compressed elastomeric sleeve surrounding the portion of the rod supported by the sensor housing. When in the uncompressed state, there is a clearance fit allowing free movement for removal and replacement of the probes. The compressed elastomeric sleeve is used in conjunction with a rod support mechanism such that the sleeve seals out moisture, dust, and other contaminants from an interior portion of the sensor. The compressed elastomeric sleeve provides a force that assures a proper electrical connection between the sensor probes and an electronic circuit of the sensor.
